Rhoddion tuag at adeiladu'r Deml
1Dyma'r Brenin Dafydd yn dweud wrth y gynulleidfa: “Llanc ifanc dibrofiad ydy fy mab Solomon, yr un mae Duw wedi ei ddewis i wneud hyn. Mae'r dasg o'i flaen yn un fawr, achos nid adeilad i ddyn fydd hwn, ond i'r Arglwydd Dduw. 2Dw i wedi gwneud fy ngorau glas i ddarparu popeth sydd ei angen i wneud y gwaith – aur, arian, pres, haearn a coed, heb sôn am lot fawr o feini gwerthfawr, fel onics (a morter glas i'w gosod nhw a'r meini eraill), gemau gwerthfawr o bob math, a marmor. 3Ond dw i hefyd am gyfrannu fy holl drysorau personol tuag at y gwaith, am fod teml Dduw mor bwysig yn fy ngolwg i. Bydd hyn yn ychwanegol at bopeth arall dw i wedi ei ddarparu ar gyfer y gwaith. 4Mae'n cynnwys mwy na 100 tunnell o aur Offir a dros 250 tunnell o arian coeth, i orchuddio waliau'r adeilad, 5a'r gwaith arall sydd i'w wneud gan y crefftwyr. Felly pwy arall sydd am gyfrannu heddiw tuag at adeiladu teml Dduw?” 6Dyma benaethiaid y teuluoedd, arweinwyr y llwythau, capteiniaid yr unedau o fil ac o gant, a'r swyddogion oedd yn arolygu gwaith y brenin yn cyfrannu at y gwaith. 7Dyma gafodd ei roi ganddyn nhw: dros 180 tunnell o aur, 10,000 o ddarnau aur, 375 tunnell o arian, a 3,750 tunnell o haearn. 8Dyma pawb yn cyfrannu eu gemau gwerthfawr i drysordy teml yrArglwydd hefyd, oedd dan ofal Iechiel o deulu Gershon. 9Roedd pawb wrth eu boddau fod cymaint wedi ei gasglu, a bod pawb wedi bod mor barod i roi. Roedd y Brenin Dafydd hefyd wrth ei fodd.Dafydd yn moli'r Arglwydd
10Dyma Dafydd yn moli'r Arglwydd o flaen y gynulleidfa gyfan: “O Arglwydd, Duw ein tad Israel, rwyt ti'n haeddu dy fendithio am byth bythoedd! 11O Arglwydd, ti ydy'r Duw mawr, cryf, godidog, ac enwog sy'n teyrnasu dros bopeth yn y nefoedd a'r ddaear! Ti ydy'r un sy'n ben ar y cwbl i gyd! 12Oddi wrthot ti mae pob cyfoeth ac anrhydedd yn dod, achos ti sy'n rheoli'r cwbl i gyd. Gen ti mae pob cryfder a nerth, a ti sy'n rhoi nerth i bobl, ac yn eu gwneud nhw'n enwog. 13Diolch i ti ein Duw! Dŷn ni'n moli dy enw bendigedig di! 14“Ond pwy ydw i, a pwy ydy fy mhobl i, ein bod ni'n gallu cyfrannu fel yma? Y gwir ydy, oddi wrthot ti mae popeth yn dod yn y pen draw. Dŷn ni ddim ond yn rhoi yn ôl i ti beth sydd piau ti. 15O dy flaen di, dŷn ni fel ffoaduriaid yn crwydro, fel ein hynafiaid. Mae'n hamser ni ar y ddaear yma yn pasio heibio fel cysgod. Does dim byd sicr amdano. 16O Arglwydd ein Duw, dŷn ni wedi casglu'r holl gyfoeth yma i adeiladu teml i ti a dy anrhydeddu di, ond ti sydd wedi ei roi e i gyd mewn gwirionedd; ti sydd piau'r cwbl. 17Dw i'n gwybod, O Dduw, dy fod ti'n gwybod beth sydd ar feddwl rhywun, ac yn falch pan mae rhywun yn onest. Ti'n gwybod fy mod i'n gwneud hyn am resymau da, a dw i wedi gweld y bobl yma yn cyfrannu'n frwd ac yn llawen. 18O Arglwydd, Duw ein hynafiaid, Abraham, Isaac ac Israel, gwna i dy bobl bob amser fod eisiau gwneud beth ti'n ddweud. Gwna nhw'n hollol ffyddlon i ti. 19A gwna fy mab Solomon yn awyddus i ufuddhau i dy orchmynion, rheolau a gofynion, a gorffen adeiladu y deml yma dw i wedi gwneud y paratoadau ar ei chyfer.” 20Yna dyma Dafydd yn annerch y gynulleidfa: “Bendithiwch yr Arglwydd eich Duw!” A dyma'r gynulleidfa gyfan yn moli'r Arglwydd, Duw eu hynafiaid. A dyma nhw'n plygu i lawr yn isel o flaen yr Arglwydd a'r brenin.Dafydd yn enwi Solomon i'w olynu fel brenin
21Y diwrnod wedyn dyma nhw'n aberthu anifeiliaid a chyflwyno offrymau i'w llosgi i'r Arglwydd (mil o deirw, mil o hyrddod, a mil o ŵyn). Hefyd yr offrymau o ddiod oedd i fynd gyda nhw, a llawer iawn o aberthau eraill dros bobl Israel i gyd. 22Roedden nhw'n dathlu ac yn gwledda o flaen yr Arglwydd. Yna dyma nhw'n gwneud Solomon, mab Dafydd, yn frenin. Dyma nhw'n ei eneinio'n frenin, ac yn eneinio Sadoc yn offeiriad. 23Dyma Solomon yn eistedd ar orsedd yr Arglwydd yn lle ei dad Dafydd. Roedd yn frenin llwyddiannus iawn, ac roedd pobl Israel i gyd yn ffyddlon iddo. 24Dyma'r swyddogion i gyd, arweinwyr y fyddin, a meibion y Brenin Dafydd, yn addo bod yn deyrngar i'r Brenin Solomon. 25Dyma'r Arglwydd yn gwneud Solomon yn frenin mawr, a'i wneud yn enwocach nac unrhyw frenin o'i flaen.Crynodeb o deyrnasiad Dafydd
26Roedd Dafydd fab Jesse wedi bod yn teyrnasu ar Israel gyfan. 27Bu'n frenin ar Israel am bedwar deg o flynyddoedd. Bu'n teyrnasu yn Hebron am saith mlynedd ac yna yn Jerwsalem ▼▼29:27 Jerwsalem Hebraeg, “dinas Dafydd”.

A dyma Solomon ei fab yn dod yn frenin yn ei le. 29Mae'r cwbl wnaeth y Brenin Dafydd ei gyflawni, o'r dechrau i'r diwedd, i'w gweld yn Negeseuon Samuel y Gweledydd, Negeseuon y Proffwyd Nathan, a Negeseuon Gad y Gweledydd. 30Mae'r ffeithiau i gyd yna, hanes ei lwyddiannau milwrol a popeth ddigwyddodd iddo fe, Israel, a'r gwledydd o gwmpas.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
