Saul yn mynd at wrach yn En-dor
1Tua'r adeg yna, dyma'r Philistiaid yn casglu eu byddinoedd at ei gilydd i fynd allan i ryfela yn erbyn Israel. A dyma Achis yn dweud wrth Dafydd, “Dw i eisiau i ti ddeall fy mod i'n disgwyl i ti a dy ddynion ddod gyda mi.” 2Ac meddai Dafydd, “Iawn, cei weld drosot dy hun be alla i, dy was, ei wneud!” A dyma Achis yn ei ateb, “Iawn, cei fod yn warchodwr personol i mi o hyn ymlaen.” 3Roedd Samuel wedi marw, ac roedd Israel gyfan wedi galaru ar ei ôl a'i gladdu heb fod yn bell o'i gartre yn Rama. a Roedd Saul wedi gyrru'r bobl oedd yn mynd ar ôl ysbrydion a'r rhai oedd yn siarad â'r meirw allan o'r wlad. 4Dyma'r Philistiaid yn dod at ei gilydd ac yn codi gwersyll yn Shwnem. ▼▼28:4 Shwnem Roedd Shwnem ychydig dros 3 milltir i'r gogledd o Jesreel
Felly dyma Saul yn casglu byddin gyfan Israel at ei gilydd a chodi gwersyll yn Gilboa. ▼▼28:4 Gilboa Y gadwyn o fryniau ar ochr ddeheuol Dyffryn Jesreel.
5Ond pan welodd Saul wersyll y Philistiaid roedd wedi dychryn am ei fywyd. 6Felly dyma fe'n gofyn am help gan yr Arglwydd, ond doedd yr Arglwydd ddim yn ei ateb – drwy freuddwyd, drwy'r Wrim (oedd gan offeiriad), na drwy broffwydi. 7Felly dyma Saul yn dweud wrth ei swyddogion, “Chwiliwch am wraig sy'n gallu dewino, i mi fynd ati hi i gael ei holi.” A dyma'i swyddogion yn ei ateb, “Mae yna wraig sy'n dewino yn En-dor. ▼▼28:7 En-dor Tua chwe milltir i'r gogledd o Gilboa, yr ochr arall i wersyll y Philistiaid yn Shwnem.
” 8Dyma Saul yn newid ei ddillad a chymryd arno fod yn rhywun arall. Aeth â dau ddyn gydag e a mynd i weld y wraig ganol nos. Meddai wrthi, “Consuria i mi, a galw i fyny y person dw i'n gofyn amdano.” 9Dyma'r wraig yn ei ateb, “Ti'n gwybod yn iawn be mae Saul wedi ei wneud. Mae wedi gyrru pawb sy'n ymhél ag ysbrydion ac yn siarad â'r meirw allan o'r wlad. Wyt ti'n ceisio gosod trap i'm lladd i?” 10Ond dyma Saul yn addo ar lw o flaen yr Arglwydd, “Mor sicr â bod yr Arglwydd yn fyw, fydd dim byd drwg yn digwydd i ti am wneud hyn.” 11Felly dyma'r wraig yn gofyn iddo, “Pwy wyt ti eisiau i mi ei alw i ti?” A dyma fe'n ateb, “Galw Samuel i fyny ata i.” 12Pan welodd hi Samuel, dyma'r ddynes yn rhoi sgrech. “Pam wnest ti fy nhwyllo i?” meddai, “Saul wyt ti!” 13Dyma'r brenin yn dweud wrthi, “Paid bod ag ofn. Dywed be rwyt ti'n weld.” Ac meddai'r wraig wrth Saul, “Dw i'n gweld ysbryd yn dod i fyny o'r ddaear.” 14“Sut un ydy e?” meddai Saul. A dyma hi'n ateb, “Hen ŵr ydy e. Mae'n gwisgo mantell amdano.” Roedd Saul yn gwybod mai Samuel oedd e, a dyma fe'n mynd ar ei liniau a plygu â'i wyneb ar lawr. 15Dyma Samuel yn gofyn i Saul, “Pam wyt ti wedi tarfu arna i, a'm galw i fyny?” A dyma Saul yn ateb, “Dw i mewn helynt. Mae'r Philistiaid wedi dod i ryfela yn fy erbyn i, ac mae Duw wedi troi cefn arna i. Dydy e ddim yn fy ateb i drwy'r proffwydi na trwy freuddwydion. Dyna pam dw i wedi dy alw di. Dw i eisiau i ti ddweud wrtho i be i'w wneud.” 16Dyma Samuel yn ei ateb, “Os ydy'r Arglwydd wedi troi cefn arnat ti a throi'n elyn i ti, pam ti'n troi ata i? 17Mae'r Arglwydd wedi gwneud yn union beth wnes i broffwydo! Mae e wedi rhwygo'r deyrnas oddi arnat ti a'i rhoi hi i Dafydd. e 18Wnest ti ddim gwrando ar yr Arglwydd, na gwneud beth oedd e eisiau i ti ei wneud i'r Amaleciaid. f Dyna pam mae e'n gwneud hyn i ti nawr. 19Bydd e'n dy roi di ac Israel yn nwylo'r Philistiaid. Erbyn fory byddi di a dy feibion yn yr un lle â fi. Bydd yr Arglwydd wedi rhoi byddin Israel yn nwylo'r Philistiaid.” 20Pan glywodd Saul beth ddwedodd Samuel dyma fe'n syrthio ar ei hyd ar lawr. Roedd wedi dychryn trwyddo, a doedd ganddo ddim nerth o gwbl am ei fod heb fwyta drwy'r dydd na'r nos. 21Roedd y wraig yn gweld gymaint roedd Saul wedi dychryn, ac meddai wrtho, “Dw i, dy forwyn, wedi gwneud beth roeddet ti eisiau. Ro'n i'n mentro fy mywyd yn gwrando arnat ti. 22Nawr, gwrando di arna i. Gad i mi roi ychydig o fwyd i ti. Pan fyddi wedi cael dy nerth yn ôl cei fynd ar dy daith.” 23Ond gwrthod wnaeth Saul, a dweud ei fod e ddim eisiau bwyta. Ar ôl i'w weision a'r wraig bwyso arno dyma fe'n gwrando yn y diwedd. Cododd oddi ar lawr ac eistedd ar y gwely. 24Roedd gan y wraig lo gwryw wedi ei besgi, felly dyma hi'n ei ladd yn syth. Wedyn dyma hi'n cymryd blawd a pobi bara heb furum ynddo. 25Gosododd y bwyd o flaen Saul a'i weision. Yna ar ôl iddyn nhw fwyta, dyma nhw'n gadael y noson honno.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
