(Mathew 21:1-11; Luc 19:28-40; Ioan 12:12-19) 1Dyma nhw'n cyrraedd Bethffage a Bethania wrth Fynydd yr Olewydd yn ymyl Jerwsalem. Dyma Iesu'n dweud wrth ddau o'i ddisgyblion, 2“Ewch i'r pentref acw sydd o'ch blaen chi, ac wrth fynd i mewn iddo dewch o hyd i ebol wedi ei rwymo – un does neb wedi bod ar ei gefn o'r blaen. Dewch â'r ebol i mi, ac 3os bydd rhywun yn gofyn, ‘Beth dych chi'n ei wneud?’ dwedwch, ‘Mae'r meistr ei angen; bydd yn ei anfon yn ôl wedyn.’” 4Felly i ffwrdd â nhw, a dyna lle roedd yr ebol, allan yn y stryd wedi ei rwymo wrth ddrws. Wrth iddyn nhw ei ollwng yn rhydd 5dyma rhyw bobl oedd yn sefyll yno yn dweud, “Hei! Beth dych chi'n ei wneud?” 6Dyma nhw'n dweud yn union beth ddwedodd Iesu wrthyn nhw, a dyma'r bobl yn gadael iddyn nhw fynd. 7Pan ddaethon nhw â'r ebol at Iesu dyma nhw'n taflu eu cotiau drosto, a dyma Iesu'n eistedd ar ei gefn. 8Dechreuodd pobl daflu eu cotiau fel carped ar y ffordd o'i flaen, neu ganghennau deiliog oedden nhw wedi eu torri o'r caeau. 9Roedd pobl y tu blaen a'r tu ôl iddo yn gweiddi, “Clod i ti!”“Mae'r un sy'n dod i gynrychioli'r Arglwydd wedi ei fendithio'n fawr!” a
10“Mae teyrnas ein cyndad Dafydd wedi ei bendithio!”
“Clod i Dduw yn y nefoedd uchaf!”
11Dyma Iesu'n mynd i mewn i Jerwsalem ac i'r deml. Edrychodd o gwmpas ar bopeth oedd yno cyn gadael. Gan ei bod yn mynd yn hwyr, aeth yn ôl i Bethania gyda'r deuddeg disgybl.
Melltithio'r goeden ffigys
(Mathew 21:18-19) 12Y diwrnod wedyn, wrth adael Bethania, roedd Iesu eisiau bwyd. 13Gwelodd goeden ffigys ddeiliog yn y pellter, ac aeth i edrych rhag ofn bod ffrwyth arni. Ond doedd dim byd ond dail, am ei bod hi ddim yr adeg iawn o'r flwyddyn i'r ffigys fod yn barod. 14“Fydd neb yn bwyta dy ffrwyth di byth eto!” meddai Iesu. Gafaelodd ym myrddau'r rhai oedd yn cyfnewid arian a'u troi drosodd, a hefyd meinciau y rhai oedd yn gwerthu colomennod. 16Yna gwrthododd adael i unrhyw un gario pethau i'w gwerthu i mewn i'r deml. 17Yna dechreuodd eu dysgu, “Onid ydy'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn dweud: ‘Bydd fy nhŷ i yn cael ei alwyn dŷ gweddi i'r holl genhedloedd.’?
Ond dych chi wedi troi'r lle yn ‘guddfan i ladron’ b!” 18Clywodd y prif offeiriaid a'r arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith beth ddwedodd e, a mynd ati i geisio dod o hyd i ffordd i'w ladd. Roedden nhw'n ei weld yn fygythiad i'w hawdurdod, am fod y bobl wedi eu syfrdanu gan ei eiriau. 19Pan ddechreuodd hi nosi, dyma Iesu a'i ddisgyblion yn gadael y ddinas.

(Mathew 21:20-22) 20Y bore wedyn roedden nhw'n pasio'r goeden ffigys eto. Roedd hi wedi gwywo'n llwyr! 21Cofiodd Pedr eiriau Iesu'r diwrnod cynt, ac meddai, “Rabbi, edrych! Mae'r goeden wnest ti ei melltithio wedi gwywo!” 22“Rhaid i chi gredu yn Nuw,” meddai Iesu. 23“Credwch chi fi, does ond rhaid i chi ddweud wrth y mynydd yma, ‘Dos, a thaflu dy hun i'r môr’ – heb amau o gwbl, dim ond credu y gwnaiff ddigwydd – a bydd yn digwydd! 24Felly dw i'n dweud wrthoch chi, cewch beth bynnag dych chi'n gofyn amdano wrth weddïo, dim ond i chi gredu y byddwch yn ei dderbyn. 25Ond cyn gweddïo'n gyhoeddus, rhaid i chi faddau i unrhyw un sydd wedi gwneud rhywbeth yn eich erbyn. Amau awdurdod Iesu

Pan oedd Iesu'n cerdded o gwmpas y deml, dyma'r prif offeiriaid, yr arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith a'r arweinwyr Iddewig eraill yn dod ato, 28a gofyn iddo “Pa hawl sydd gen ti i wneud beth wnest ti? Pwy roddodd yr awdurdod i ti?” 29Atebodd Iesu, “Gadewch i mi ofyn cwestiwn i chi. Atebwch chi hwn, ac ateba i'ch cwestiwn chi. 30Dwedwch wrtho i – Ai Duw anfonodd Ioan i fedyddio neu ddim?” 31Wrth drafod y peth gyda'i gilydd, dyma nhw'n dweud, “Os atebwn ni ‘Ie’, bydd yn gofyn, ‘Pam doeddech chi ddim yn ei gredu felly?’ 32Ond allwn ni byth ddweud ‘Na’ …” (Roedd ganddyn nhw ofn y bobl, am fod pawb yn meddwl fod Ioan yn broffwyd.) 33Felly dyma nhw'n gwrthod ateb, “Dŷn ni ddim yn gwybod,” medden nhw. “Felly dw i ddim yn mynd i ateb eich cwestiwn chi chwaith,” meddai Iesu.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
