Yesus di dalam kemuliaan-Nya
1 Enam hari kemudian Yesus membawa Petrus, Yakobus, dan Yohanes, saudaranya, ke gunung yang tinggi. 2Tidak ada orang lain di tempat itu. Tiba-tiba wajah Yesus bersinar dengan kemuliaan, dan pakaian-Nya menjadi putih berkilauan.3Tiba-tiba terlihat Musa dan Elia, dan mereka bercakap-cakap dengan Dia. 4Petrus berkata, “Tuhan, kita senang sekali dapat berada di sini! Jika Tuhan mau, saya akan membuatkan tiga buah pondok di sini, satu untukmu, satu untuk Musa, dan satu lagi untuk Elia.”
5Sementara ia berkata demikian, awan yang terang turun menaungi mereka, dan dari dalam awan itu terdengar suara yang berkata, “Inilah Anak-Ku yang Kukasihi. Aku sangat berkenan akan Dia. Dengarkanlah Dia!”
6Mendengar itu para murid jatuh tersungkur. Mereka sangat ketakutan. 7Yesus menghampiri dan menyentuh mereka serta berkata, “Bangunlah! Jangan takut!”
8Dan ketika mereka menengadah, hanya Yesuslah yang ada bersama dengan mereka.
9Ketika mereka sedang turun dari gunung, Yesus melarang mereka memberitahukan kepada siapa pun apa yang baru saja mereka lihat sampai sesudah Ia bangkit dari antara orang mati.
10Murid-murid bertanya, “Mengapa para guru agama selalu mengatakan bahwa Elia harus kembali sebelum Mesias datang?”
11“Mereka benar,” jawab Yesus. “Elia harus datang dan membereskan segala sesuatu. 12Bahkan sebenarnya ia sudah datang, tetapi orang tidak mengakuinya, malah banyak yang memperlakukan dia dengan semena-mena. Dan Aku, Anak Manusia, juga akan menderita dalam tangan mereka.”
13Lalu para murid menyadari bahwa Ia sedang berbicara tentang Yohanes Pembaptis.
Dari bukit sampai Kapernaum
14Ketika mereka sampai di kaki bukit, banyak sekali orang sedang menantikan mereka. Seorang laki-laki menghampiri, berlutut di hadapan Yesus dan berkata, 15“Tuhan, kasihanilah anak saya yang laki-laki. Ia sakit ayan dan sangat menderita, karena ia sering jatuh ke dalam api dan ke dalam air. 16Saya sudah membawanya kepada murid-murid-Mu, tetapi mereka tidak dapat menyembuhkan dia.”17Yesus menjawab, “Hai kalian, orang-orang yang tidak beriman dan keras kepala! Berapa lama lagi Aku harus bersabar terhadap kalian? Bawalah anak itu kemari!” 18Lalu Yesus menghardik roh jahat yang ada di dalam anak laki-laki itu dan roh itu pun meninggalkan dia, dan sejak saat itu anak itu sembuh.
19Kemudian secara diam-diam para murid bertanya kepada Yesus, “Mengapa kami tidak dapat mengusir roh jahat itu?”
20“Sebab kalian kurang beriman,” kata Yesus kepada mereka. “Karena jika kalian mempunyai iman yang sebesar biji sesawi sekalipun, kalian akan dapat berkata kepada gunung ini, ‘Pindahlah!’ maka gunung ini pun akan pindah. Tidak akan ada yang mustahil bagi kalian. 21Tetapi memang roh jahat semacam itu tidak dapat diusir tanpa berdoa dan berpuasa.”
22– 23Pada suatu hari, ketika mereka sedang berada di Galilea, Yesus berkata kepada mereka, “Aku, Anak Manusia, akan dikhianati dan diserahkan ke dalam tangan orang-orang yang akan membunuh Aku, tetapi tiga hari kemudian Aku akan dihidupkan kembali.” Hati para murid dipenuhi dengan rasa sedih.
24Ketika mereka tiba di Kapernaum, pemungut pajak Bait Allah menghampiri Petrus dan bertanya, “Apakah gurumu tidak membayar pajak?”
25“Tentu saja Ia membayar,” jawab Petrus.
Lalu ia masuk ke dalam untuk membicarakan hal itu dengan Yesus. Tetapi sebelum ia mendapat kesempatan untuk berkata-kata, Yesus bertanya kepadanya, “Petrus, menurut pendapatmu, apakah raja-raja memungut upeti dari rakyatnya sendiri atau dari orang-orang asing yang dijajahnya?”
26– 27“Dari orang asing,” jawab Petrus.
“Jika demikian,” kata Yesus, “rakyat sendiri bebas. Tetapi kita tidak mau menyinggung perasaan mereka. Karena itu, pergilah mengail ke pantai! Bukalah mulut ikan pertama yang kautangkap! Engkau akan menemukan sebuah mata uang yang cukup untuk membayar pajak kita berdua. Ambillah uang itu dan bayarkan kepada mereka!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
