11 aBasi marafiki watatu wa Ayubu, ndio Elifazi Mtemani, na Bildadi Mshuhi na Sofari Mnaamathi, waliposikia juu ya taabu yote iliyompata Ayubu, wakajipanga toka manyumbani mwao, nao wakakutana pamoja kwa makubaliano kwenda kumtuliza katika taabu hiyo na kumfariji.
