Ang Talinghaga tungkol sa Sinturon na Telang Linen
1Sinabi sa akin ng Panginoon, “Lumakad ka at bumili ng sinturon na telang linen. Itali mo ito sa baywang mo, pero huwag mong lalabhan.” 2Kaya bumili ako ng sinturon at pagkatapos, itinali ko ito sa baywang ko ayon sa sinabi ng Panginoon.3Pagkatapos, sinabing muli sa akin ng Panginoon, 4“Tanggalin mo ang sinturon na binili mo at pumunta ka malapit sa Ilog ng Eufrates ▼

at itago mo roon ang sinturon sa biyak ng bato.” 5Kaya pumunta ako sa may Ilog ng Eufrates at itinago ko roon ang sinturon ayon sa sinabi ng Panginoon. 6Pagkaraan ng mahabang panahon, muling sinabi sa akin ng Panginoon, “Pumunta ka sa Ilog ng Eufrates at kunin mo ang sinturon na ipinatago ko sa iyo roon.” 7Kaya pumunta ako sa Ilog ng Eufrates at kinuha ko ang sinturon sa pinagtaguan ko, pero sira na iyon at hindi na mapapakinabangan. 8– 9Pagkatapos, sinabi sa akin ng Panginoon, “Ganyan din ang mangyayari sa Juda na mapagmataas at sa higit na pagmamataas ng Jerusalem. 10Ayaw sumunod ng masasamang taong ito sa mga sinasabi ko. Sinusunod nila ang nais ng matitigas nilang puso na naglilingkod at sumasamba sa mga dios-diosan. Kaya matutulad sila sa sinturon na iyan na hindi na mapapakinabangan. 11Kung papaano sanang ang sinturon ay nakakapit nang mahigpit sa baywang ng tao, nais ko rin sanang ang lahat ng mamamayan ng Israel at Juda ay kumapit nang mahigpit sa akin. Hinirang ko sila para papurihan nila ako at parangalan, pero ayaw nilang makinig sa akin. Ako, ang Panginoon, ang nagsasabi nito.”

12“Jeremias, sabihin mo sa mga mamamayan ng Israel na ako, ang Panginoon, ang Dios ng Israel ay nagsasabing, ‘Ang lahat ng sisidlang-balat nʼyo ay mapupuno ng alak.’ At kung sasabihin nila sa iyo, ‘Alam na naming mapupuno ng alak ang lahat ng lalagyan namin.’ 13Sabihin mo sa kanila na ito ang ibig kong sabihin: ‘Parurusahan ko ang lahat ng mamamayan ng lupaing ito, na parang nilasing ko sila ng alak. Parurusahan ko ang mga hari na angkan ni David, ang mga pari, mga propeta, at ang lahat ng mamamayan ng Jerusalem. 14Pag-uumpugin ko ang mga magulang at ang mga anak nila. Hindi ako mahahabag sa pagpatay sa kanila. Ako, ang Panginoon, ang nagsasabi nito.’ ”Babala tungkol sa Kapalaluan
15Makinig kayong mabuti, at huwag kayong magmataas dahil nagsalita ang Panginoon. 16Parangalan nʼyo ang Panginoon na inyong Dios habang hindi pa niya ipinapadala ang kadiliman, at habang hindi pa kayo nadadapa sa madilim na mga bundok. Ang liwanag na inaasahan ninyoʼy gagawin niyang napakatinding kadiliman. 17Kung ayaw pa rin ninyong makinig, iiyak ako ng lihim dahil sa pagmamataas ninyo. Iiyak ako ng malakas at dadaloy ang mga luha ko dahil bibihagin ang mga hinirang ng Panginoon.18 Inutusan ako ng Panginoon na sabihin sa hari at sa kanyang ina na bumaba sila sa trono nila dahil malapit nang kunin sa ulo nila ang magaganda nilang korona. 19Isasara ang mga pintuan ng mga bayan sa Negev. Wala nang makakapasok o makakalabas doon. Bibihagin ang lahat ng taga-Juda.
20Tingnan nʼyo ang mga kaaway na dumarating mula sa hilaga. O Jerusalem, nasaan na ang iyong mga mamamayan na ipinagmamalaki mo, na ipinagkatiwala ko sa iyo para alagaan mo? 21Ano ang mararamdaman mo kung ang kakampi mong bansa ang sumakop sa iyo? Hindi baʼt magdaramdam ka tulad ng isang babaeng manganganak na? 22Kung tatanungin mo ang sarili mo kung bakit ka napahamak na parang babaeng pinunit ang damit at pinagsamantalahan, itoʼy dahil sa napakarami mong kasalanan. 23Mapapalitan ba ng taong maitim ▼

Ganyan din kayong mga taga-Jerusalem, hindi kayo makakagawa ng mabuti dahil ugali na ninyo ang gumawa ng masama. 24– 25Sinabi ng Panginoon, “Pangangalatin ko kayo katulad ng ipa na ipinapadpad ng hanging mula sa disyerto. Iyan ang kahihinatnan ninyo. Gagawin ko ito sa inyo dahil kinalimutan ninyo ako at nagtiwala kayo sa mga dios-diosan. 26Ibibilad ko kayo sa kahihiyan gaya ng babaeng hinubaran. 27Nakita ko ang mga ginawa ninyong kasuklam-suklam na pagsamba sa mga dios-diosan sa mga bundok at kapatagan. Tulad kayo ng babaeng bayaran na nag-aapoy ang pagnanasa, o ng mga nangangalunya at nakikiapid. Nakakaawa kayo, mga taga-Jerusalem! Hanggang kailan kayo mananatili sa karumihan?”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
