เปโตรปฏิเสธพระเยซูอีก

25ขณะซีโมนเปโตรยืนผิงไฟอยู่ มีคนถามว่า “เจ้าเป็นสาวกคนหนึ่งของเขามิใช่หรือ?” เปโตรปฏิเสธว่า “ข้าไม่ได้เป็น”

26คนรับใช้คนหนึ่งของมหาปุโรหิต ซึ่งเป็นญาติกับคนที่ถูกเปโตรฟันหูขาดก็ยืนยันว่า “ข้าเห็นเจ้าอยู่กับเขาในสวนมะกอกเทศมิใช่หรือ?” 27เปโตรปฏิเสธอีกและทันใดนั้นไก่ก็เริ่มขัน
