Lời Chào Thăm của Phao-lô
1Đây là thư của Phao-lô và Ti-mô-thê, đầy tớ của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. Kính gửi các tín hữu thánh thiện và các cấp lãnh đạo Hội Thánh tại thành phố Phi-líp. 2Cầu xin Đức Chúa Trời, Cha chúng ta và Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu ban ơn phước và bình an cho anh chị em.Lời Cảm Tạ Chúa
3Mỗi khi tưởng nhớ anh chị em, tôi luôn ca ngợi Đức Chúa Trời. 4Mỗi lần cầu nguyện cho anh chị em, lòng tôi tràn ngập vui mừng. 5Vì anh chị em đã tích cực góp phần trong công cuộc truyền bá Phúc Âm từ khi tiếp nhận Chúa cho đến ngày nay. 6Chúa đã bắt đầu làm việc tốt lành trong anh chị em, nên Ngài sẽ tiếp tục hoàn thành công tác cho đến ngày Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu trở lại; đó là điều chắc chắn. 7Tôi tín nhiệm anh chị em như thế vì anh chị em đã chiếm một chỗ quan trọng trong lòng tôi. Anh chị em đã cùng tôi chia sẻ ơn phước của Đức Chúa Trời, trong những ngày tôi bị xiềng xích giam cầm cũng như những năm tháng tôi được tự do biện hộ cho chân lý Phúc Âm. 8Có Đức Chúa Trời chứng giám, tôi triều mến anh chị em với tình yêu thương của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. 9Tôi cầu nguyện cho tình yêu thương của anh chị em ngày càng chan chứa, cho tri thức và sự sáng suốt của anh chị em ngày càng sâu rộng, 10đến nỗi anh chị em biết quý chuộng những điều tuyệt hảo, giữ tâm hồn trong sạch và sống một cuộc đời hoàn toàn, không ai chê trách được cho đến ngày Chúa Cứu Thế trở lại. 11Cầu chúc anh chị em luôn kết quả tươi đẹp trong nếp sống công chính do Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu để đem vinh quang về cho Đức Chúa Trời.Tinh Thần của Phao-lô trong Ngục Tối
12Thưa anh chị em, tôi mong anh chị em đều biết rõ: Chính những hoạn nạn, bức hại, tù đày của tôi đã làm cho Phúc Âm càng lan rộng 13đến nỗi mọi người, kể cả quân đoàn ngự lâm của hoàng đế La Mã, đều biết rõ tôi bị giam cầm chỉ vì theo Chúa Cứu Thế, 14và hầu hết các anh chị em tín hữu thấy tôi chịu tù tội vì Chúa nên không còn biết sợ xiềng xích gông cùm, nhưng càng vững tin nơi Chúa và anh dũng truyền giảng Phúc Âm. 15Thật ra, có vài người rao giảng Chúa Cứu Thế chỉ vì ganh tị. 16Nhưng những người khác rao giảng vì thiện chí, do lòng yêu thương thúc đẩy, họ biết rõ tôi có nhiệm vụ biện hộ cho Phúc Âm. 17Trong khi đó, mấy người kia rao giảng về Chúa Cứu Thế vì tinh thần đảng phái, không chân thành phục vụ; họ tưởng làm như thế là chồng chất thêm nỗi khổ đau cho tôi trong ngục tù! 18Dù giả bộ hay chân thành, Phúc Âm của Chúa Cứu Thế vẫn được truyền bá; chính sự thật đó làm cho tôi vui mừng sung sướng. 19Vâng, tôi sẽ tiếp tục vui mừng vì biết rõ: Nhờ anh chị em cầu nguyện và nhờ Thánh Linh của Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu phù hộ, việc này sẽ trở thành ích lợi cho tôi.Đời Sống Phao-lô vì Chúa Cứu Thế
20Vì tôi mong mỏi hy vọng không bao giờ làm điều gì đáng hổ thẹn, nhưng tôi luôn luôn sẵn sàng nói về Chúa Cứu Thế cách bạo dạn trong cảnh tù đày hiện nay cũng như trong những ngày tự do. Dù sống hay chết, tôi vẫn làm nổi bật vinh quang của Chúa Cứu Thế. 21Đối với tôi, hễ còn sống ngày nào là còn có cơ hội làm vinh hiển Chúa Cứu Thế; nếu chết đi lại càng ích lợi cho tôi. 22Còn tiếp tục sống trong thân xác, tôi còn có cơ hội dìu dắt nhiều người đến với Chúa; nên tôi không biết lựa chọn thế nào. 23Tôi phân vân giữa sự sống và sự chết. Tôi muốn đi ở với Chúa Cứu Thế là điều vô cùng phước hạnh hơn cho tôi. 24Nhưng tôi còn ở lại đây để giúp ích anh chị em lại là điều tốt hơn. 25Tôi biết chắc tôi sẽ còn ở lại với anh chị em một thời gian nữa để giúp anh chị em tăng trưởng và vui sống trong đức tin. 26Nhờ đó, khi tôi trở lại viếng thăm, anh chị em sẽ càng vui mừng, ca ngợi Chúa Cứu Thế.Gương Sáng của Chúa Cứu Thế
27Dù có mặt tôi hay không, anh chị em phải luôn luôn sống theo tiêu chuẩn cao cả trong Phúc Âm của Chúa Cứu Thế, ngõ hầu mọi người có thể nhìn nhận rằng anh chị em vẫn siết chặt hàng ngũ chiến đấu cho niềm tin Phúc Âm. 28Dù bọn thù nghịch làm gì đi nữa, anh chị em vẫn anh dũng kiên trì. Đó chính là điềm báo hiệu họ sẽ bị hư vong còn anh chị em được cứu rỗi. 29Vì anh chị em chẳng những tin Chúa Cứu Thế nhưng còn được vinh dự chịu gian khổ vì Ngài nữa. 30Anh chị em cũng hăng say chiến đấu bên cạnh chúng tôi: Như anh chị em đã thấy tôi từng chịu bao gian khổ vì Chúa, nay tôi vẫn tiếp tục đấu tranh quyết liệt cho Ngài.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
