Grwpiau'r Gofalwyr
1Dyma wahanol grwpiau gofalwyr y giatiau: Disgynyddion Cora: Meshelemeia, mab Core (oedd yn un o feibion Asaff)2Meibion Meshelemeia: Sechareia, yr hynaf, wedyn Iediael, Sebadeia, Iathniel, 3Elam, Iehochanan, ac Eliehoenai.
4Yna meibion Obed-Edom: Shemaia, yr hynaf, wedyn Iehosafad, Ioach, Sachar, Nethanel, 5Ammiel, Issachar, a Pewlthai. (Roedd Duw wedi bendithio Obed-Edom yn fawr.)
6Roedd gan ei fab Shemaia feibion hefyd. Roedden nhw'n benaethiaid eu teuluoedd, ac yn cael eu parchu'n fawr. 7Meibion Shemaia oedd: Othni, Reffael, Obed, ac Elsabad. Roedd ei berthnasau, Elihw a Semacheia, yn cael eu parchu'n fawr hefyd. 8Roedd y rhain i gyd yn ddisgynyddion i Obed-Edom. Roedd parch mawr atyn nhw, eu meibion a'u perthnasau. Roedden nhw i gyd yn ddynion abl iawn i wneud eu gwaith. Roedd chwe deg dau ohonyn nhw yn perthyn i Obed-Edom.
9Roedd gan Meshelemeia feibion a perthnasau uchel eu parch – un deg wyth i gyd.
10Roedd gan Chosa, un o ddisgynyddion Merari, feibion: Shimri oedd y mab cyntaf (er nad fe oedd yr hynaf – ei dad oedd wedi rhoi'r safle cyntaf iddo). 11Yna Chilceia yn ail, Tefaleia yn drydydd, a Sechareia yn bedwerydd. Nifer meibion a perthnasau Chosa oedd un deg tri.
12Roedd y grwpiau yma o ofalwyr wedi eu henwi ar ôl penaethiaid y teuluoedd, ac fel eu perthnasau roedd ganddyn nhw gyfrifoldebau penodol yn y deml. 13Dyma'r coelbren yn cael ei ddefnyddio i benderfynu pa giât oedden nhw'n gyfrifol amdani. Doedd oedran ddim yn cael ei ystyried. 14A dyma sut y cawson nhw eu dewis: Aeth giât y dwyrain i ofal Shelemeia;
giât y gogledd i'w fab Sechareia (dyn oedd yn arbennig o ddoeth);
15giât y de i Obed-edom (ei feibion e oedd yn gyfrifol am y stordai);
16yna giât y gorllewin (a giât Shalecheth oedd ar y ffordd uchaf) i Shwpîm a Chosa.
Roedd eu dyletswyddau'n cael eu rhannu'n gyfartal. 17Bob dydd roedd chwech Lefiad ar ddyletswydd i'r dwyrain, pedwar i'r gogledd a pedwar i'r de. Roedd dau ar ddyletswydd gyda'i gilydd yn y stordai. 18Wedyn wrth yr iard i'r gorllewin roedd pedwar ar ddyletswydd ar y ffordd a dau yn yr iard. 19(Y rhain oedd y grwpiau o ofalwyr oedd yn ddisgynyddion i Cora a Merari.)

20Rhai o'r Lefiaid oedd hefyd yn gyfrifol am stordai teml Dduw a'r stordai lle roedd y rhoddion yn cael eu cadw. 21Roedd disgynyddion Ladan (oedd yn ddisgynyddion i Gershon drwy Ladan, ac yn arweinwyr eu clan) yn cynnwys Iechieli, 22meibion Iechieli, Setham, a'i frawd Joel. Nhw oedd yn gyfrifol am stordai teml Dduw. 23Wedyn dyma'r arweinwyr oedd yn ddisgynyddion i Amram, Its'har, Hebron ac Wssiel: 24Shefwel, un o ddisgynyddion Gershom fab Moses, oedd arolygwr y stordai. 25Roedd ei berthnasau drwy Elieser yn cynnwys: Rechabeia ei fab, wedyn Ishaeia ei fab e, ac i lawr y cenedlaethau drwy Joram, Sichri i Shlomith. 26Shlomoth a'i berthnasau oedd yn gyfrifol am yr holl stordai lle roedd y pethau oedd wedi eu cysegru gan y Brenin Dafydd yn cael eu cadw. (A pethau wedi eu cysegru gan benaethiaid teuluoedd oedd yn gapteiniaid unedau o fil ac o gant, a swyddogion eraill y fyddin. 27Roedden nhw wedi cysegru peth o'r ysbail gafodd ei gasglu, a'i gyfrannu tuag at gynnal a chadw teml yr Arglwydd.) 28Roedden nhw hefyd yn gyfrifol am bopeth gafodd ei gysegru gan y proffwyd Samuel, Saul fab Cish, Abner fab Ner, a Joab fab Serwia. 29Roedd Cenaniahw o glan Its'har, a'i feibion, yn gyfrifol am waith tu allan i'r deml, fel swyddogion a barnwyr dros bobl Israel. 30Wedyn cafodd Chashafeia o glan Hebron a'i berthnasau (1,700 o ddynion abl) gyfrifoldebau yn Israel i'r gorllewin o'r Iorddonen. Roedden nhw'n gwneud gwaith yr Arglwydd ac yn gwasanaethu'r brenin. 31Wedyn Ierïa oedd pennaeth clan Hebron yn ôl y cofrestrau teuluol. (Pan oedd Dafydd wedi bod yn frenin am bedwar deg o flynyddoedd, dyma nhw'n chwilio drwy'r cofrestrau, a darganfod fod dynion abl o glan Hebron yn byw yn Iaser yn Gilead.) 32Roedd gan Ierïa 2,700 o berthnasau oedd yn benaethiaid teuluoedd. A dyma'r Brenin Dafydd yn rhoi'r cyfrifoldeb iddyn nhw dros lwythau Reuben, Gad a hanner llwyth Manasse. Roedden nhw hefyd yn gwneud gwaith yr Arglwydd ac yn gwasanaethu'r brenin.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
