Adeiladu'r Deml
1Dechreuodd Solomon adeiladu teml yr Arglwydd yn ystod ei bedwaredd flwyddyn fel brenin, yn yr ail fis, sef Mis Sif. ▼▼6:1 Mis Sif Ail fis y calendr Hebreig, o tua canol Ebrill i ganol Mai.
Roedd hi'n bedwar cant wyth deg o flynyddoedd ers i bobl Israel ddod allan o wlad yr Aifft. 2Roedd y deml yn ddau ddeg saith metr o hyd, naw metr o led, ac un deg tri metr a hanner o uchder. 3Roedd cyntedd o flaen y deml yn naw metr o hyd ac yn bedwar metr a hanner o led. 4Dyma nhw'n gwneud ffenestri latis i'r deml. 5Yna dyma nhw'n codi estyniad, o gwmpas waliau'r prif adeilad a'r cysegr, gydag ystafelloedd ochr ynddo. 6Roedd llawr isaf yr estyniad yn ddau fetr ar draws, y llawr canol yn ddau fetr a hanner a'r trydydd yn dri metr. Roedd siliau ar waliau allanol y deml, fel bod dim rhaid gosod y trawstiau yn y waliau eu hunain. 7Roedd y deml yn cael ei hadeiladu gyda cherrig oedd wedi cael eu paratoi yn barod yn y chwarel. Felly doedd dim sŵn morthwyl na chaib nac unrhyw offer haearn arall i'w glywed yn y deml wrth iddyn nhw adeiladu. 8Roedd y drws i'r ystafelloedd ar y llawr isaf ar ochr ddeheuol y deml. Wedyn roedd grisiau tro yn mynd i fyny i'r llawr canol, ac yna ymlaen i'r trydydd llawr. 9Ar ôl gorffen adeiladu'r deml ei hun, dyma nhw'n rhoi to drosti wedi ei wneud o drawstiau a paneli o gedrwydd. 10Yna codi'r ystafelloedd o'i chwmpas – pob un yn ddau fetr o uchder, gyda trawstiau o goed cedrwydd yn eu dal yn sownd i waliau'r deml ei hun. 11Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Solomon: 12“Os byddi di'n byw fel dw i'n dweud, yn cadw fy neddfau, yn gwrando ar fy ngorchmynion ac yn ufudd iddyn nhw, yna bydda i yn cadw'r addewid wnes i dy dad Dafydd. Bydda i yn byw gyda phobl Israel yn y deml yma rwyt ti wedi ei chodi a fydda i byth yn troi cefn arnyn nhw.” 14Felly, dyma Solomon yn gorffen adeiladu'r deml. Tu mewn y Deml

Roedd tu mewn y deml yn bren i gyd, a'r llawr yn blanciau o goed pinwydd. 16Roedd y naw metr pellaf, yng nghefn yr adeilad, yn gell ar wahân, tu ôl i bared o goed cedrwydd wedi ei godi o'r llawr i'r to. Hwn oedd y cysegr mwyaf sanctaidd. 17Roedd prif neuadd y deml, o flaen y cysegr mewnol, yn un deg wyth metr o hyd. 18Roedd y pren tu mewn i'r deml wedi ei gerfio drosto gyda ffrwyth cicaion a blodau agored. Roedd yn baneli cedrwydd i gyd; doedd dim un garreg yn y golwg. 19Roedd y gell gysegredig y tu mewn i'r deml ar gyfer Arch Ymrwymiad yr Arglwydd. 20Roedd y gell yn naw metr o hyd, naw metr o led a naw metr o uchder. Cafodd ei gorchuddio'n llwyr gydag aur pur. A'r allor o gedrwydd yr un fath. 21Roedd tu mewn y deml i gyd wedi ei orchuddio gydag aur pur. Roedd cadwyni aur o flaen y gell gysegredig fewnol, ac roedd y gell ei hun wedi ei gorchuddio ag aur hefyd. 22Roedd aur pur yn gorchuddio pob twll a chornel o'r deml, gan gynnwys yr allor oedd yn y gell fewnol gysegredig. 23Yn y cysegr mewnol dyma fe'n gwneud dau geriwb o goed olewydd. Roedden nhw'n bedwar metr a hanner o daldra. 24Roedd pob adain yn ddau fetr a chwarter o hyd – pedwar metr a hanner o flaen un adain i flaen yr adain arall. 25Roedd y ddau geriwb yr un maint a'i gilydd, ac roedd siâp y ddau yr un fath. 26Roedd y ddau yn bedwar metr a hanner o daldra. 27Dyma Solomon yn rhoi'r ddau geriwb ochr yn ochr yn y cysegr mewnol, gyda'i hadenydd ar led. Roedd adain y cyntaf yn cyffwrdd y wal un ochr i'r gell, ac adain y llall yn cyffwrdd y wal ar yr ochr arall. Ac roedd ail adain y ddau geriwb yn cyffwrdd ei gilydd yn y canol. 28Roedd y ddau geriwb wedi eu gorchuddio gydag aur. 29Roedd waliau'r deml i gyd (waliau'r brif neuadd a'r cysegr mewnol) wedi eu cerfio drostyn nhw gyda lluniau o geriwbiaid, coed palmwydd a blodau agored. 30Roedd y llawr wedi ei orchuddio gydag aur (yn y brif neuadd a'r cysegr mewnol). 31Roedd drysau o goed olewydd i fynd i mewn i'r gell fewnol gysegredig. Roedd pyst a lintel y drws yn bumochrog. 32Roedd y ddau ddrws gyda ceriwbiaid, coed palmwydd a blodau agored wedi eu cerfio arnyn nhw, ac roedd y cwbl gyda haen o aur yn ei orchuddio. 33Roedd pyst y drysau i fynd i mewn i brif neuadd y deml yn sgwâr, a'r rhain hefyd wedi eu gwneud o goed olewydd. 34Ond roedd y ddau ddrws eu hunain yn goed pinwydd. Roedd y ddau ddrws wedi eu gwneud o ddau ddarn oedd yn plygu yn ôl ar ei gilydd. 35Roedd ceriwbiaid, coed palmwydd a blodau agored wedi eu cerfio arnyn nhw, ac roedd y cwbl wedi ei orchuddio gyda haen o aur, hyd yn oed y gwaith cerfio. 36Roedd y wal o gwmpas yr iard fewnol (sef yr iard agosaf at y deml ei hun) wedi ei hadeiladu gyda tair rhes o gerrig wedi eu naddu, ac yna paneli o goed cedrwydd. 37Roedden nhw wedi dechrau adeiladu'r deml ym Mis Sif, yn ystod pedwaredd flwyddyn Solomon fel brenin. 38Cafodd pob manylyn o'r gwaith ei orffen ym Mis Bwl, sef yr wythfed mis, ▼▼6:38 wythfed mis Bwl, wythfed mis y calendr Hebreig, o tua canol Hydref i ganol Tachwedd.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
