1Felly, rhaid i chi gael gwared â phopeth drwg o'ch bywydau – pob twyll, balchder dauwynebog, cenfigennu wrth eraill ac enllibio pobl. 2Yn lle gadael i bethau felly eich rheoli chi dylech chi fod yn crefu am y llaeth ysbrydol pur fydd yn gwneud i chi dyfu yn eich ffydd. 3Gan eich bod chi eisoes wedi cael blas ar mor dda ydy'r Arglwydd, a dylech fod yr un fath â babi bach newydd ei eni sydd eisiau dim byd arall ond llaeth ei fam.Y garreg sylfaen fyw a'r bobl sydd wedi eu dewis
4Mae'r Arglwydd fel carreg sylfaen, ond un sy'n fyw. Dyma'r garreg gafodd ei gwrthod gan bobl, ond roedd wedi ei dewis gan Dduw ac yn werthfawr iawn yn ei olwg. Felly wrth i chi glosio at yr Arglwydd 5dych chi fel cerrig sy'n fyw ac yn anadlu, ac mae Duw yn eich defnyddio chi i adeiladu ei ‛deml‛ ysbrydol. A chi hefyd ydy'r offeiriaid sydd wedi cael eich dewis i gyflwyno aberthau ysbrydol i Dduw. Aberthau sy'n dderbyniol o achos beth wnaeth Iesu Grist. 6Dyma pam mae'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn dweud fel hyn: “Edrychwch! Dw i'n gosod yn Jerwsalemgarreg sylfaen werthfawr sydd wedi ei dewis gen i.

7Ydy, mae'r garreg yma'n werthfawr yn eich golwg chi sy'n credu. Ond i'r rhai sy'n gwrthod credu: “Mae'r garreg wrthododd yr adeiladwyr
wedi cael ei gwneud yn garreg sylfaen,” c
8Hon hefyd ydy'r “garreg sy'n baglu pobl
a chraig sy'n gwneud iddyn nhw syrthio.” d
Y rhai sy'n gwrthod gwneud beth mae Duw'n ei ddweud sy'n baglu. Dyna'n union oedd wedi ei drefnu ar eu cyfer nhw. 9Ond dych chi'n bobl sydd wedi eich dewis yn offeiriaid i wasanaethu'r Brenin, yn genedl sanctaidd, yn bobl sy'n perthyn i Dduw. Eich lle chi ydy dangos i eraill mor wych ydy Duw, yr Un alwodd chi allan o'r tywyllwch i mewn i'w olau bendigedig. e 10 Ar un adeg doeddech chi'n neb o bwys,
ond bellach chi ydy pobl Dduw.

ond bellach dych wedi profi ei drugaredd. f
11Ffrindiau annwyl, dim y byd yma ydy'ch cartref chi. Dych chi fel pobl ddieithr yma. g Felly dw i'n apelio arnoch chi i wrthod gwneud beth mae'r chwantau naturiol am i chi ei wneud. Mae nhw'n brwydro yn erbyn beth sydd orau i ni. 12Dylech chi fyw bywydau da. Wedyn fydd pobl sydd ddim yn credu ddim yn gallu'ch cyhuddo chi o wneud drwg. Yn lle gwneud hynny byddan nhw'n gweld y pethau da dych chi'n eu gwneud ac yn dod i gredu. Byddan nhw'n canmol Duw ar y diwrnod hwnnw pan fydd yn dod atyn nhw.

13Dylech chi ddangos parch at bobl eraill, yn union fel y gwnaeth yr Arglwydd ei hun. Mae hyn yn cynnwys yr ymerawdwr sy'n teyrnasu dros y cwbl, 14a'r llywodraethwyr sydd wedi eu penodi ganddo i gosbi pobl sy'n gwneud drwg ac i ganmol y rhai sy'n gwneud da. 15(Mae Duw eisiau i chi wneud daioni i gau cegau'r bobl ffôl sy'n deall dim.) 16Dych chi'n rhydd, ond peidiwch defnyddio'ch rhyddid fel esgus i wneud drygioni. Ond os ydych chi'n fodlon dioddef er eich bod chi wedi gwneud y peth iawn, mae hynny'n plesio Duw. 21Dyna mae Duw wedi'ch galw chi i'w wneud. A'r esiampl i chi ei dilyn ydy'r Meseia yn dioddef yn eich lle chi: 22 “Wnaeth e ddim pechu,a wnaeth e ddim twyllo neb.” h
23Wnaeth e ddim ateb yn ôl pan oedd pobl yn ei regi a'i sarhau e; wnaeth e ddim bygwth unrhyw un pan oedd e'n dioddef. Yn lle hynny, gadawodd y mater yn nwylo Duw sydd bob amser yn barnu'n deg. 24Cariodd ein pechodau i ni yn ei gorff ar y pren, er mwyn i ni, a'n pechodau wedi mynd, allu byw i wneud beth sy'n iawn. Dych chi wedi cael eich iacháu am ei fod e wedi ei glwyfo! j 25Roeddech chi'n arfer bod fel defaid wedi mynd ar goll, k ond dych chi bellach wedi dod yn ôl at y Bugail sy'n gofalu amdanoch chi.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
