1Dyma'r Brenin Agripa'n dweud wrth Paul, “Rwyt ti'n rhydd i siarad.” Felly dyma Paul yn cyflwyno ei amddiffyniad: 2“Y Brenin Agripa, dw i'n cyfri'n hun yn ffodus iawn mai o'ch blaen dw i'n sefyll yma heddiw i amddiffyn fy hun. 3Dych chi'n gwbl gyfarwydd ag arferion yr Iddewon a'r pynciau llosg sy'n codi yn ein plith. Felly ga i ofyn i chi, os gwelwch yn dda, wrando ar beth sydd gen i i'w ddweud. 4“Mae'r arweinwyr Iddewig yn gwybod amdana i ers pan o'n i'n blentyn – y blynyddoedd cynnar yn Cilicia, a hefyd y cyfnod fues i yn Jerwsalem. 5Maen nhw'n gwybod ers talwm, petaen nhw'n fodlon cyfaddef hynny, fy mod i wedi byw fel Pharisead, sef sect fwyaf caeth ein crefydd ni. 6A dw i ar brawf yma heddiw am fy mod i'n edrych ymlaen at weld yr hyn wnaeth Duw ei addo i'n cyndeidiau ni yn dod yn wir. 7Mae pobl Israel i gyd yn rhannu'r un gobaith – dyna pam maen nhw'n addoli Duw mor gydwybodol ddydd a nos. A'r gobaith yma ydy'r rheswm pam mae'r arweinwyr Iddewig wedi dod â cyhuddiad yn fy erbyn i, eich mawrhydi. 8“Pam dych chi bobl yn ei chael hi mor anodd i gredu fod Duw yn gallu dod â'r meirw yn ôl yn fyw? 9Wrth gwrs, roeddwn innau ar un adeg yn meddwl fod rhaid i mi wneud popeth allwn i i wrthwynebu dilynwyr Iesu o Nasareth. 10A dyna wnes i: ces i awdurdod gan y prif offeiriaid yn Jerwsalem i daflu nifer fawr o Gristnogion i'r carchar. Roeddwn i'n un o'r rhai oedd o blaid rhoi'r gosb eithaf iddyn nhw! 11Roeddwn i'n mynd o un synagog i'r llall i wneud yn siŵr eu bod yn cael eu cosbi, ac yn ceisio eu gorfodi nhw i gablu. Roedd y peth yn obsesiwn gwyllt gen i, ac roeddwn i hyd yn oed yn teithio i wledydd tramor i'w herlid nhw.Hanes ei dröedigaeth

Yna'n sydyn, eich mawrhydi, dyma olau o'r awyr yn disgleirio o'm cwmpas i a phawb oedd gyda mi. Roedd yn olau llawer mwy tanbaid na'r haul. 14Dyma ni i gyd yn disgyn ar lawr, a chlywais lais yn siarad â mi yn Hebraeg, ‘Saul, Saul, pam rwyt ti'n fy erlid i? Dim ond gwneud drwg i ti dy hun wyt ti wrth dynnu'n groes i mi ▼▼26:14b Groeg, “Mae'n galed dy fod ti'n cicio yn erbyn y symbylau.” Sef, pan mae anifail yn gwrthod cymryd ei arwain
.’ 15“A dyma fi'n gofyn, ‘Pwy wyt ti, Arglwydd?’ A dyma'r Arglwydd yn ateb, ‘Iesu ydw i, sef yr un rwyt ti'n ei erlid. 16Cod ar dy draed. Dw i wedi dy ddewis di i fod yn was i mi. Dw i am i ti ddweud wrth bobl am beth sydd wedi digwydd, ac am bopeth arall bydda i'n ei ddangos i ti. 17Bydda i'n dy achub di o afael dy bobl dy hun a phobl y cenhedloedd eraill. Dw i'n dy anfon di atyn nhw 18i agor eu llygaid nhw er mwyn iddyn nhw droi o dywyllwch i oleuni, a dianc o afael Satan at Dduw. Bydda i'n maddau eu pechodau nhw, a byddan nhw'n cael perthyn i'r bobl hynny sydd wedi eu gwneud yn lân drwy gredu ynof fi.’ 19“Felly, eich mawrhydi, dw i wedi ufuddhau i'r weledigaeth ges i o'r nefoedd. 20Dw i wedi bod yn dweud wrth bobl fod rhaid iddyn nhw droi cefn ar eu pechodau a throi at Dduw – a byw mewn ffordd sy'n dangos eu bod wedi newid go iawn. Gwnes i hynny gyntaf yn Damascus, ac wedyn yn Jerwsalem ac ar draws Jwdea, a hefyd i bobl o genhedloedd eraill. 21A dyna pam wnaeth yr Iddewon fy nal i yn y deml a cheisio fy lladd i. 22Ond mae Duw wedi edrych ar fy ôl i hyd heddiw, a dyna sut dw i'n dal yma i rannu'r neges gyda phawb, yn fach a mawr. Dw i'n dweud dim byd mwy na beth ddwedodd y proffwydi a Moses fyddai'n digwydd – 23sef y byddai'r Meseia yn dioddef, ac mai fe fyddai'r cyntaf i ddod yn ôl yn fyw oddi wrth y meirw, yn oleuni i Iddewon a phobl o genhedloedd eraill.” 24Yn sydyn dyma Ffestus yn gweiddi ac yn torri ar draws ei amddiffyniad, “Dwyt ti ddim yn gall, Paul! Mae dy holl ddysg yn dy yrru di'n wallgof!” 25“Na, dw i ddim yn wallgof, eich Anrhydedd Ffestus,” meddai Paul. “Mae'r cwbl dw i'n ei ddweud yn berffaith wir ac yn rhesymol. 26Mae'r Brenin Agripa yn deall y pethau yma, a dw i'n gallu siarad yn blaen gydag e. Dw i'n reit siŵr ei fod wedi clywed am hyn i gyd, achos wnaeth y cwbl ddim digwydd mewn rhyw gornel dywyll o'r golwg. 27Agripa, eich mawrhydi – ydych chi'n credu beth ddwedodd y proffwydi? Dw i'n gwybod eich bod chi!” 28“Wyt ti'n meddwl y gelli di berswadio fi i droi'n Gristion mor sydyn â hynny?” 29Atebodd Paul, “Yn sydyn neu beidio – dw i'n gweddïo ar Dduw y gwnewch chi, a phawb arall sy'n gwrando arna i yma heddiw, ddod yr un fath â fi – ar wahân i'r cadwyni yma!” 30Yna dyma'r brenin yn codi ar ei draed, a chododd y llywodraethwr a Bernice gydag e, a phawb arall oedd yno. 31Roedden nhw'n sgwrsio wrth fynd allan, “Dydy'r dyn wedi gwneud dim byd i haeddu marw na hyd yn oed ei garcharu,” medden nhw. 32“Gallet ti ei ollwng yn rhydd oni bai am y ffaith ei fod wedi gwneud apêl i Gesar,” meddai Agripa wrth Ffestus.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
