1Llythyr gan Paul, wedi fy newis gan Dduw yn gynrychiolydd personol i'r Meseia Iesu. A gan y brawd Timotheus hefyd, 2At bobl Dduw yn Colosae sy'n ddilynwyr ffyddlon i'r Meseia: Dw i'n gweddïo y byddwch chi'n profi'r haelioni rhyfeddol a'r heddwch dwfn mae Duw ein Tad yn ei roi i ni.Diolch a gweddi
3Dŷn ni bob amser yn diolch i Dduw, Tad ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist, pan dŷn ni'n gweddïo drosoch chi. 4Dŷn ni wedi clywed am eich ffyddlondeb chi i'r Meseia Iesu ac am y cariad sydd gynnoch chi at bawb arall sy'n credu. 5Mae'r ffydd a'r cariad hwnnw'n tarddu o'r gobaith hyderus y byddwch chi'n derbyn y cwbl sydd wedi ei storio yn y nefoedd i chi. Dych chi wedi clywed am hyn o'r blaen, pan gafodd y gwir (sef y newyddion da) 6ei rannu gyda chi am y tro cyntaf. Mae'r newyddion da yn mynd ar led ac yn dwyn ffrwyth drwy'r byd i gyd, a dyna'n union sydd wedi digwydd yn eich plith chi ers y diwrnod cyntaf i chi glywed am haelioni rhyfeddol Duw, a dod i'w ddeall yn iawn. 7Epaffras, ein cydweithiwr annwyl ni, ddysgodd hyn i gyd i chi, ac mae wedi bod yn gwasanaethu'r Meseia yn ffyddlon ar ein rhan ni. 8Mae wedi dweud wrthon ni am y cariad mae'r Ysbryd wedi ei blannu ynoch chi. 9Ac felly dŷn ni wedi bod yn dal ati i weddïo drosoch chi ers y diwrnod y clywon ni hynny. Dŷn ni'n gofyn i Dduw ddangos i chi yn union beth mae eisiau, a'ch gwneud chi'n ddoeth i allu deall pethau ysbrydol. 10Pwrpas hynny yn y pen draw ydy i chi fyw fel mae Duw am i chi fyw, a'i blesio fe ym mhob ffordd: trwy fyw bywydau sy'n llawn o weithredoedd da o bob math, a dod i nabod Duw yn well. 11Dŷn ni'n gweddïo y bydd Duw yn defnyddio'r holl rym anhygoel sydd ganddo i'ch gwneud chi'n gryfach ac yn gryfach. Wedyn byddwch chi'n gallu dal ati yn amyneddgar, 12a diolch yn llawen i'r Tad. Fe sydd wedi'ch gwneud chi'n deilwng i dderbyn eich cyfran o beth mae wedi ei gadw i'w bobl ei hun yn nheyrnas y goleuni. 13Mae e wedi'n hachub ni o'r tywyllwch oedd yn ein gormesu ni. Ac mae wedi dod â ni dan deyrnasiad y Mab mae'n ei garu. 14Ei Fab sydd wedi'n gollwng ni'n rhydd! Mae wedi maddau'n pechodau ni!Y Meseia Iesu yn ben
15Mae'n dangos yn union sut un ydy'r Duw anweledig –y ‛mab hynaf‛ wnaeth roi ei hun dros y greadigaeth gyfan.
16Cafodd popeth ei greu ganddo fe:
popeth yn y nefoedd ac ar y ddaear,
popeth sydd i'w weld,
a phopeth sy'n anweledig –
y grymoedd a'r pwerau sy'n llywodraethu a rheoli.
Cafodd popeth ei greu ganddo fe,
i'w anrhydeddu e.
17Roedd yn bodoli o flaen popeth arall,
a fe sy'n dal y cwbl gyda'i gilydd.
18Fe hefyd ydy'r pen ar y corff, sef yr eglwys;
Fe ydy ei ffynhonnell hi,
a'r cyntaf i ddod yn ôl yn fyw.
Felly mae e'n ben ar y cwbl i gyd.
19Achos roedd Duw yn ei gyflawnder yn byw ynddo,
20ac yn cymodi popeth ag e'i hun trwyddo
– pethau ar y ddaear ac yn y nefoedd.
Daeth â heddwch drwy farw ar y groes.
21Ydy, mae wedi'ch cymodi chi hefyd! Chi oedd mor bell oddi wrth Dduw ar un adeg. Roeddech yn elynion iddo ac yn gwneud pob math o bethau drwg. Mae wedi eich gwneud chi'n ffrindiau iddo'i hun 22trwy ddod yn ddyn o gig a gwaed, a marw ar y groes. Mae'n dod â chi at Dduw yn lân, yn ddi-fai, a heb unrhyw gyhuddiad yn eich erbyn. 23Ond rhaid i chi ddal i gredu, a bod yn gryf ac yn gadarn, a pheidio gollwng gafael yn y gobaith sicr mae'r newyddion da yn ei gynnig i chi. Dyma'r newyddion da glywoch chi, ac sydd wedi ei gyhoeddi drwy'r byd i gyd. A dyna'r gwaith dw i, Paul, wedi ei gael i'w wneud.

24Dw i'n falch o gael dioddef drosoch chi. Dw i'n cyflawni yn fy nghorff i beth o'r dioddef sydd ar ôl – sef ‛gofidiau'r Meseia‛ – a hynny er mwyn ei gorff, yr eglwys. 25Dw i wedi dod yn was iddi am fod Duw wedi rhoi gwaith penodol i mi, i gyhoeddi'r neges yn llawn ac yn effeithiol i chi sydd ddim yn Iddewon. 26Dyma'r cynllun dirgel gafodd ei gadw o'r golwg am oesoedd a chenedlaethau lawer, ond sydd bellach wedi ei ddangos i bobl Dduw. 27Mae Duw wedi dewis dangos fod y dirgelwch ffantastig yma ar gyfer pobl o bob cenedl. Y dirgelwch ydy bod y Meseia yn byw ynoch chi; a dyna'r hyder sydd gynnoch chi y cewch chi ran yn y pethau gwych sydd i ddod! 28Dŷn ni'n cyhoeddi'r neges amdano, ac yn rhybuddio a dysgu pawb mor ddoeth ag y gallwn ni. Dŷn ni eisiau cyflwyno pawb i Dduw yn ddilynwyr aeddfed i'r Meseia. 29Dyna pam dw i'n gweithio mor galed gyda'r holl egni mae e'n ei roi i mi.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
