(Exodus 32:1-35) 1“Gwranda Israel! Rwyt ti ar fin croesi'r afon Iorddonen i gymryd tir y bobloedd sy'n byw yna oddi arnyn nhw – pobloedd sy'n gryfach na chi, ac yn byw mewn trefi mawrion gyda waliau amddiffynnol uchel iawn. 2Mae'n cynnwys disgynyddion Anac – mae tyrfa fawr ohonyn nhw, sy'n bobl anferth, a dych chi'n gwybod beth sy'n cael ei ddweud amdanyn nhw, ‘Pa obaith sydd gan unrhyw un yn erbyn yr Anaciaid!’ 3Wel, dw i eisiau i chi ddeall fod yr Arglwydd eich Duw fel tân sy'n difa popeth o'i flaen. Bydd e'n eu trechu nhw. Byddwch chi'n cymryd eu tir nhw, ac yn eu dinistrio nhw yn gyflym iawn, fel mae wedi dweud. 4“Ond ar ôl i'r Arglwydd eu gyrru nhw allan o'ch blaenau chi, peidiwch meddwl am funud ei fod e'n rhoi'r tir i chi am eich bod chi'n bobl mor dda! Na, mae e'n gyrru'r bobloedd yma allan o'ch blaenau chi am eu bod nhw'n gwneud pethau mor ddrwg. 5Does gan y peth ddim byd i'w wneud â'ch daioni chi a'ch moesoldeb chi. Na, y ffaith fod y bobl sy'n byw yna mor ddrwg sy'n cymell yr Arglwydd eich Duw i'w gyrru nhw allan o'ch blaenau chi, a hefyd ei fod am gadw'r addewid wnaeth e i'ch hynafiaid chi, i Abraham, Isaac a Jacob. 6Felly dw i eisiau i chi ddeall fod yr Arglwydd ddim yn rhoi'r tir da yma i chi am eich bod chi'n bobl dda. Dych chi'n bobl benstiff! 7“Cofiwch – peidiwch byth anghofio – sut wnaethoch chi ddigio'r Arglwydd eich Duw pan oeddech chi yn yr anialwch. Dych chi ddim wedi stopio gwrthryfela yn ei erbyn ers y diwrnod daethoch chi allan o'r Aifft. 8Roeddech wedi ei ddigio yn Sinai ▼▼9:8 Sinai Hebraeg, “Horeb”, sef enw arall ar Fynydd Sinai
, ac roedd yn mynd i'ch dinistrio chi. 9Pan es i i fyny'r mynydd i dderbyn y llechi carreg, sef llechi ymrwymiad yr Arglwydd i chi, dyma fi'n aros yno nos a dydd am bedwar deg diwrnod, heb fwyta nac yfed o gwbl. 10A dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r ddwy lechen garreg i mi, gydag ysgrifen Duw ei hun arnyn nhw. Y Deg Gorchymyn roedd e wedi eu rhoi i chi o ganol y tân ar y mynydd, pan oeddech chi wedi casglu at eich gilydd. 11“Ar ddiwedd y cyfnod o bedwar deg diwrnod dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r ddwy lechen garreg i mi, llechi'r ymrwymiad. 12Yna dwedodd, ‘Dos yn ôl i lawr ar unwaith, mae'r bobl wnest ti eu harwain allan o'r Aifft wedi pechu! Maen nhw wedi troi cefn ar y ffordd wnes i ei rhoi iddyn nhw'n barod, ac wedi gwneud delw o fetel tawdd.’ 13“Yna dyma fe'n dweud wrtho i, ‘Dw i wedi bod yn gwylio'r bobl yma – maen nhw'n griw penstiff! 14Gad lonydd i mi, i mi gael gwared â nhw'n llwyr! Fydd neb yn cofio pwy oedden nhw! A bydda i'n dy wneud di yn genedl gryfach a mwy na nhw.’ 15“Felly dyma fi'n mynd yn ôl i lawr y mynydd tra roedd yn llosgi'n dân, gyda'r ddwy lechen yn fy nwylo. 16A dyma fi'n gweld eich bod chi wedi pechu go iawn yn erbyn yr Arglwydd a gwneud eilun ar siâp tarw ifanc. Roeddech chi wedi troi i ffwrdd mor sydyn oddi wrth beth oedd e'n ei ofyn gynnoch chi! 17Felly dyma fi'n codi'r ddwy lechen, a'u taflu nhw ar lawr, a dyma nhw'n torri'n ddarnau yno o flaen eich llygaid chi. 18“Yna dyma fi'n mynd ar lawr o flaen yr Arglwydd nos a dydd am bedwar deg diwrnod arall. Wnes i fwyta nac yfed dim byd o achos eich pechod chi, yn gwneud peth mor ofnadwy i bryfocio'r Arglwydd. 19Roedd gen i wir ofn fod yr Arglwydd wedi digio mor ofnadwy hefo chi y byddai e'n eich dinistrio chi'n llwyr. Ond dyma fe'n gwrando arna i unwaith eto. 20“Roedd yr Arglwydd wedi gwylltio gydag Aaron hefyd, ac yn mynd i'w ladd, ond dyma fi'n gweddïo drosto fe hefyd. 21Yna dyma fi'n cymryd y tarw ifanc roeddech chi wedi pechu drwy ei wneud, ei doddi yn y tân ac yna ei falu nes ei fod yn fân fel llwch, cyn taflu'r llwch i'r nant oedd yn rhedeg i lawr y mynydd. 22“A dyma chi'n digio'r Arglwydd eto, yn Tabera, Massa a Cibroth-hattaäfa. 23A pan wnaeth e eich anfon chi o Cadesh-barnea, a dweud wrthoch chi, ‘Ewch, a chymryd y tir dw i wedi ei roi i chi,’ dyma chi'n tynnu'n groes i'r Arglwydd eto, a gwrthod ei gredu na gwneud beth roedd e'n ddweud. 24Dych chi wedi bod yn gwrthryfela yn erbyn yr Arglwydd o'r diwrnod cyntaf i mi eich nabod chi! 25“Bues i'n gorwedd ar fy ngwyneb ar lawr o flaen yr Arglwydd nos a dydd am bedwar deg diwrnod, am ei fod wedi dweud y byddai'n eich dinistrio chi. 26A dyma fi'n gweddïo, ‘O Feistr, Arglwydd, paid dinistrio dy bobl. Ti wedi defnyddio dy nerth rhyfeddol i'w gollwng nhw'n rhydd, a dod â nhw allan o'r Aifft. 27Cofia dy weision – Abraham, Isaac a Jacob. Paid cymryd sylw o'r bobl ystyfnig, ddrwg yma sy'n pechu yn dy erbyn. 28Does gen ti ddim eisiau i bobl yr Aifft ddweud, “Doedd yr Arglwydd ddim yn gallu mynd â'r bobl yma i'r wlad roedd e wedi ei haddo iddyn nhw. Aeth â nhw allan o'r Aifft am ei fod yn eu casáu nhw, ac am eu lladd nhw yn yr anialwch.” 29Dy bobl di ydyn nhw; dy eiddo sbesial di. Ti wedi defnyddio dy rym a'th nerth rhyfeddol i'w gollwng nhw'n rhydd.’

How do I do a word study?
- What information can I find about a word?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
