Cyhoeddi Bendith Duw ar lwythau Israel
1Dyma'r fendith wnaeth Moses, dyn Duw, ei chyhoeddi dros bobl Israel cyn iddo farw: 2“Daeth yr Arglwydd o Fynydd Sinai;roedd fel y wawr yn torri o gyfeiriad Edom.
Roedd yn disgleirio o Fynydd Paran,
ac yn dod allan gyda deg mil o angylion,
a mellt yn saethu o'i law dde.
3Mae'n amlwg ei fod yn caru'r bobl,
ac yn gofalu am y rhai sydd wedi eu cysegru iddo.
Maen nhw'n gwrando ar ei eiriau,
ac yn addoli wrth ei draed.
4Rhoddodd Moses gyfraith i ni;
rhodd sbesial i bobl Jacob.
5Yr Arglwydd oedd brenin Israel onest ▼

pan ddaeth arweinwyr y bobl
a llwythau Israel at ei gilydd.
6Boed i Reuben gael byw, nid marw,
ond fydd ei bobl ddim yn niferus.”
7Yna meddai am Jwda: “Gwranda, Arglwydd, ar lais Jwda,
ac una fe gyda'i bobl.
Rho nerth rhyfeddol iddo,
a helpa fe i ymladd yn erbyn ei elynion.”
8Yna meddai am Lefi: “I Lefi rhoddaist y Thwmim a'r Wrim,
i'r gwas oedd wedi ei gysegru.
Profaist e wrth Massa,
a dadlau gydag e wrth Ffynnon Meriba.
9Dwedodd wrth ei rieni, ‘Dw i erioed wedi'ch gweld’,
wrth ei frodyr a'i chwiorydd, ‘Pwy ydych chi?’,
ac wrth ei blant, ‘Dw i ddim yn eich nabod chi,’
am fod gwneud beth rwyt ti'n ddweud,
ac amddiffyn dy ymrwymiad yn bwysicach ganddo. ▼

10Nhw sy'n dysgu dy ganllawiau i Jacob,
a'th gyfarwyddiadau i Israel.
Nhw sy'n cyflwyno arogldarth sy'n arogli'n hyfryd,
ac offrymau cyflawn ar dy allor.
11O Arglwydd, bendithia ei eiddo,
a chael pleser o'r gwaith mae'n ei wneud.
Torra goesau unrhyw un sy'n ymosod arno,
a'r rhai sy'n ei gasáu,
nes eu bod nhw'n methu sefyll.”
12Yna meddai am Benjamin: “Bydd yr un sy'n annwyl gan yr Arglwydd
yn byw yn saff wrth ei ymyl.
Bydd Duw yn ei amddiffyn bob amser;
bydd yr Arglwydd yn ei gadw'n saff.”
13Yna meddai am Joseff: “Boed i'r Arglwydd fendithio ei dir,
a rhoi cnydau da gyda gwlith o'r awyr,
a'r dŵr sy'n ddwfn dan y ddaear;
14cnydau wedi tyfu dan wenau'r haul
ac yn aeddfedu o fis i fis;
15cnydau'n tyfu ar ben y mynyddoedd hynafol,
a'r cynhaeaf sy'n aeddfedu ar y bryniau;
16y cnydau gorau all y tir eu rhoi,
a ffafr yr Un oedd yn y berth oedd ar dân.
Bendith Duw ar ben Joseff –
ar ben yr un oedd y blaenaf o'i frodyr.
17Mae iddo anrhydedd fel y tarw cyntaf,
ac mae ei gyrn fel rhai ychen gwyllt,
i gornio'r bobloedd i ben draw'r byd –
dyma ddegau o filoedd Effraim a miloedd Manasse.”
18Yna meddai am Sabulon: “Bydd lawen, Sabulon, pan fyddi'n mynd allan,
ac Issachar, pan fyddi yn dy bebyll.
19Byddan nhw'n galw pobloedd at eu mynydd,
ac yno'n cyflwyno aberthau iawn.
Byddan nhw'n derbyn cyfoeth o'r moroedd,
ac yn casglu trysorau o dywod y traeth.”
20Yna meddai am Gad: “Bendith ar yr Un sy'n gwneud i Gad lwyddo!
Bydd yn aros fel llew,
yna'n rhwygo'r fraich a'r pen.
21Mae wedi dewis y rhan orau iddo'i hun –
rhan un sy'n rheoli.
Daeth gydag arweinwyr y bobl,
yn ufudd i ofynion da yr Arglwydd,
a'i ganllawiau i bobl Israel.”
22Yna meddai am Dan: “Mae Dan fel llew ifanc;
bydd yn llamu allan o Bashan.”
23Yna meddai am Nafftali: “O Nafftali, sy'n gorlifo o ffafr,
ac wedi dy fendithio gymaint gan yr Arglwydd,
dos i gymryd dy dir i'r gorllewin a'r de.”
24Yna meddai am Asher: “Mae Asher wedi ei fendithio fwy na'r lleill!
Boed i'w frodyr ddangos ffafr ato,
a boed iddo drochi ei draed mewn olew olewydd.
25Bydd y bariau ar dy giatiau o haearn a phres;
byddi'n saff tra byddi byw.
26Does neb tebyg i dy Dduw, o Israel onest ▼

mewn gwlad o ŷd a grawnwin;
lle mae gwlith yn disgyn o'r awyr.
29Rwyt wedi dy fendithio, Israel!
Oes pobloedd eraill tebyg i ti? –
Pobl sydd wedi'ch achub gan yr Arglwydd,
Fe ydy'r darian sy'n eich amddiffyn,
a'r cleddyf gwych sy'n ymladd ar eich ran.
Boed i'ch gelynion grynu o'ch blaen,
a chithau'n sathru ar eu cefnau!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
