1Felly, dyma fi yn garcharor am wasanaethu'r Arglwydd. Dw i'n pwyso arnoch chi i fyw fel y dylai pobl mae Duw wedi eu galw i berthyn iddo fyw. 2Byddwch yn ostyngedig ac addfwyn bob amser; byddwch yn amyneddgar, a goddef beiau eich gilydd mewn cariad. 3Gwnewch eich gorau glas i ddangos bod yr Ysbryd Glân wedi eich gwneud chi'n un, a'i fod yn eich clymu chi gyda'ch gilydd mewn heddwch. 4Gan mai'r un Ysbryd Glân sydd gynnon ni, dŷn ni'n un corff – a dych chi wedi'ch galw gan Dduw i rannu'r un gobaith. 5Does ond un Arglwydd, un ffydd, un bedydd, 6a dim ond un Duw a Thad i bawb. Y Duw sy'n teyrnasu dros bopeth, ac sy'n gweithio drwy bob un ac ym mhob un! 7Ond mae'r Meseia wedi rhannu ei roddion i bob un ohonon ni – a fe sydd wedi dewis beth i'w roi i bawb. 8Dyna pam mae'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn dweud: “Pan aeth i fyny i'r uchelderarweiniodd gaethion ar ei ôl
a rhannu rhoddion i bobl.” a
9(Beth mae “aeth i fyny” yn ei olygu oni bai ei fod hefyd wedi dod i lawr i'r byd daearol? 10A'r un ddaeth i lawr ydy'r union un aeth i fyny i'r man uchaf yn y nefoedd, er mwyn i'w lywodraeth lenwi'r bydysawd cyfan). 11A dyma'i roddion: mae wedi penodi rhai i fod yn gynrychiolwyr personol iddo, eraill i fod yn broffwydi, eraill yn rhai sy'n rhannu'r newyddion da, ac eraill yn fugeiliaid ac athrawon. 12Maen nhw i alluogi pobl Dduw i gyd i'w wasanaethu mewn gwahanol ffyrdd, er mwyn gweld corff y Meseia, sef yr eglwys, yn tyfu'n gryf. 13Y nod ydy ein bod ni'n ymddiried ym Mab Duw gyda'n gilydd ac yn dod i'w nabod yn well. Bryd hynny bydd yr eglwys fel oedolyn aeddfed yn adlewyrchu beth welwn ni yn y Meseia ei hun. 14Dim plantos bach fyddwn ni, yn cael ein taflu yn ôl ac ymlaen gan y tonnau, a'n chwythu yma ac acw gan bob awel sy'n dod heibio. Fyddwn ni ddim yn newid ein meddyliau bob tro mae rhywun yn dweud rhywbeth newydd, neu'n cael ein twyllo gan bobl slei sy'n gwneud i gelwydd swnio fel petai'n wir. 15Na, wrth gyhoeddi beth sy'n wir mewn cariad, byddwn ni'n tyfu'n debycach bob dydd i'r Pen, sef y Meseia. 16Y pen sy'n gwneud i'r corff weithio a thyfu. Fel mae pob rhan o'r corff wedi ei weu i'w gilydd, a'r gewynnau'n dal y cwbl gyda'i gilydd, mae'r eglwys yn tyfu ac yn cryfhau mewn cariad wrth i bob rhan wneud ei gwaith.

17Felly gyda'r awdurdod mae'r Arglwydd ei hun wedi ei roi i mi, dw i'n dweud wrthoch chi, ac yn mynnu hyn: peidiwch byw fel mae'r paganiaid di-gred yn byw. Dyn nhw'n deall dim – 18maen nhw yn y tywyllwch! Maen nhw wedi eu gwahanu oddi wrth y bywyd sydd gan Dduw i'w gynnig am eu bod nhw'n gwrthod gwrando. Maen nhw'n ystyfnig! 19Does dim byd yn codi cywilydd arnyn nhw. Dyn nhw'n gwneud dim byd ond byw'n anfoesol a gadael i'w chwantau mochaidd gael penrhyddid llwyr. Ac maen nhw eisiau mwy a mwy drwy'r adeg. 20Dim felly dych chi wedi dysgu byw wrth edrych ar y Meseia – 21os mai fe ydy'r un dych chi wedi eich dysgu i'w ddilyn. Yn Iesu mae dod o hyd i'r gwir. 22Felly rhaid i chi gael gwared â'r hen ffordd o wneud pethau – y bywyd sydd wedi ei lygru gan chwantau twyllodrus. 23Rhaid i chi feithrin ffordd newydd o feddwl. 24Mae fel gwisgo natur o fath newydd – natur sydd wedi ei fodelu ar gymeriad Duw ei hun, yn gyfiawn a glân. 25Felly dim mwy o gelwydd! “Dwedwch y gwir wrth eich gilydd”, b am ein bod ni'n perthyn i'r un corff. 26“Peidiwch pechu pan dych chi wedi digio” c – gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod chi ddim yn dal yn ddig ar ddiwedd y dydd. 27Peidiwch rhoi cyfle i'r diafol a'i driciau! 28Rhaid i'r person oedd yn arfer bod yn lleidr stopio dwyn. Dylai weithio, ac ennill bywoliaeth, fel bod ganddo rywbeth i'w rannu gyda phobl mewn angen. 29Peidiwch defnyddio iaith aflan. Dylech ddweud pethau sy'n helpu pobl eraill – pethau sy'n bendithio'r rhai sy'n eich clywed chi. 30Peidiwch brifo teimladau Ysbryd Glân Duw. Yr Ysbryd ydy'r sêl sy'n eich marcio chi fel rhai fydd yn cael rhyddid llwyr ar y diwrnod hwnnw pan fydd y Meseia Iesu yn dod yn ôl. 31Rhaid i chi beidio bod yn chwerw, peidio colli tymer a gwylltio, codi twrw, hel straeon cas, a bod yn faleisus. 32Eich lle chi ydy bod yn garedig, yn dyner gyda'ch gilydd, a maddau i'ch gilydd fel mae Duw wedi maddau i chi drwy beth wnaeth y Meseia.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
