1Yna ar yr unfed ar hugain o'r seithfed mis ▼▼2:1 unfed ar hugain o'r seithfed mis y mis oedd Tishri (neu Ethanim), sef seithfed mis y calendr Hebreig, o tua canol Medi i ganol Hydref. Hwn oedd diwrnod olaf Gŵyl y Pebyll (gw. Lefiticus 23:34). Mae'r dyddiad yma'n cyfateb i Hydref 17, 520 CC yn ein calendr ni.
yn yr ail flwyddyn i'r Brenin Dareius deyrnasu, dyma'r proffwyd Haggai yn cael y neges yma gan yr Arglwydd: 2“Dos i siarad â Serwbabel fab Shealtiel, llywodraethwr Jwda, a'r archoffeiriad Jehoshwa fab Iehotsadac. Dywed wrthyn nhw, a phawb arall hefyd: 3‘Pwy ohonoch chi yma welodd y deml fel roedd hi ers talwm b, yn ei holl ysblander? A sut mae'n edrych i chi nawr? Dim byd o'i chymharu mae'n siŵr! 4Ond dal ati, Serwbabel. Dal ati, Jehoshwa fab Iehotsadac. A daliwch chithau ati, bawb’—meddai'r Arglwydd. ‘Daliwch ati i weithio, oherwydd dw i gyda chi’—meddai'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus. 5‘Fel gwnes i addo i chi pan ddaethoch chi allan o wlad yr Aifft, mae fy Ysbryd yn dal gyda chi. Peidiwch bod ag ofn!’”6“Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus yn ei ddweud: ‘Unwaith eto, cyn bo hir, dw i'n mynd i ysgwyd y nefoedd a'r ddaear, y môr a'r tir. 7Bydda i'n ysgwyd y gwledydd i gyd. Byddan nhw'n dod ac yn cyflwyno eu trysorau, a bydda i'n llenwi'r deml yma â chyfoeth ac ysblander,’—meddai'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus. 8‘Fi piau'r arian, a fi piau'r aur,’—meddai'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus. 9‘Bydd y deml yma yn llawer harddach yn y dyfodol nag oedd hi o'r blaen,’—meddai'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus; ‘a bydda i'n dod â llwyddiant a heddwch i'r lle yma.’ Ydy, mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus wedi dweud.”

10Ar y pedwerydd ar hugain o'r nawfed mis ▼▼2:10 pedwerydd ar hugain o'r nawfed mis y mis oedd Cislef, sef nawfed mis y calendr Hebreig, o tua canol Tachwedd i ganol Rhagfyr. (Tri mis ar ôl i'r gwaith o ailadeiladu'r deml ddechrau.) Mae'r dyddiad yma'n cyfateb i Rhagfyr 18, 520 CC yn ein calendr ni.
yn yr ail flwyddyn i'r Brenin Dareius deyrnasu, cafodd y proffwyd Haggai y neges yma gan yr Arglwydd: 11Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus yn ei ddweud: “Gofynnwch i'r offeiriaid am arweiniad o'r Gyfraith: 12‘Os ydy rhywun yn cario cig anifail wedi ei aberthu wedi ei lapio yn ei fantell, a'r dilledyn hwnnw wedyn yn cyffwrdd â bara neu stiw, gwin, olew, neu rhyw fwyd arall, fydd e'n gwneud y bwydydd hynny'n gysegredig?’” Ateb yr offeiriaid oedd, “Na fydd.” 13A dyma Haggai yn gofyn wedyn, “Os ydy rhywun sy'n aflan am ei fod wedi cyffwrdd corff marw d yn dod i gysylltiad â'r bwydydd hynny, fydd hynny'n gwneud y bwydydd yn aflan?” A dyma'r offeiriaid yn ateb, “Bydd.” 14Yna dyma Haggai yn dweud: “‘Mae'r un peth yn wir am y bobl yma a'r genedl yma,’ meddai'r Arglwydd, ‘a'u cynnyrch nhw i gyd. Mae popeth maen nhw'n ei offrymu yn aflan! 15“‘Meddyliwch sut roedd pethau cyn i'r gwaith o ailadeiladu teml yr Arglwydd ddechrau. 16Pan oedd rhywun yn disgwyl dau ddeg mesur o ŷd, doedd ond deg yno; ac os oedd rhywun eisiau codi hanner can mesur o win o'r cafn, doedd ond dau ddeg yno. 17Ro'n i'n eich cosbi chi drwy anfon gormod o wres, gormod o law neu genllysg ar eich cnydau, ond wnaethoch chi ddim troi ata i,’ meddai'r Arglwydd. 18“‘Meddyliwch sut mae pethau wedi bod ers y diwrnod pan gafodd y sylfaeni eu gosod i ailadeiladu teml yr Arglwydd, ie, hyd heddiw (y pedwerydd ar hugain o'r nawfed mis): 19Falle nad oes grawn yn yr ysgubor, ac nad ydy'r gwinwydd, y coed ffigys, y pomgranadau a'r coed olewydd wedi rhoi eu ffrwyth eto, ond o heddiw ymlaen dw i'n mynd i'ch bendithio chi.’” Yr Arglwydd yn annog Serwbabel
20A dyma Haggai yn cael ail neges gan yr Arglwydd ar y pedwerydd ar hugain o'r mis: 21“Dywed hyn wrth Serwbabel, llywodraethwr Jwda: ‘Dw i'n mynd i ysgwyd y nefoedd a'r ddaear. 22Dw i'n mynd i chwalu gorseddau brenhinol a dinistrio grym llywodraethau'r gwledydd. Bydda i'n troi'r cerbydau rhyfel drosodd, gyda'i gyrrwyr. Bydd ceffylau rhyfel yn syrthio, a'u marchogion yn lladd ei gilydd. 23“‘Ar y diwrnod hwnnw,’—meddai'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus—‘bydda i'n dy gymryd di, Serwbabel fy ngwas, ac yn dy wneud di fel sêl-fodrwy ▼▼2:23 sêl-fodrwy Cafodd yr un darlun i ddefnyddio i ddisgrifio'r Brenin Jehoiachin (taid Serwbabel) (gw. Jeremeia 22:24-30 lle roedd Duw yn cymryd yr arwydd yma o awdurdod oddi ar Jehoiachin.)

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
