Yr Arglwydd yn dangos sut bydd yn cosbi Jwda
(13:1—20:18)
Y lliain isaf oedd Jeremeia'n ei wisgo
1Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrtho i: “Dos i brynu lliain isaf newydd, a'i wisgo am dy ganol. A paid â'i olchi.” 2Felly dyma fi'n prynu lliain isaf fel y dwedodd yr Arglwydd, a'i wisgo am fy nghanol. 3Wedyn dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi neges arall i mi, a dweud, 4“Cymer y lliain isaf brynaist ti, yr un rwyt ti'n ei wisgo, a dos at yr Afon Ewffrates ▼▼13:4 Ewffrates neu Perath, oedd yn afon fach rhyw dair milltir i'r gogledd-ddwyrain o Anathoth. Mae enw Hebraeg y ddwy afon yr un fath.

Cuddia fe yno mewn hollt yn y graig.” 5Felly dyma fi'n mynd ac yn ei guddio wrth yr Ewffrates fel roedd yr Arglwydd wedi dweud. 6Aeth amser maith heibio, a dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrtho i, “Dos at yr Afon Ewffrates i nôl y lliain ddywedais i wrthot ti am ei guddio yno.” 7Felly dyma fi'n mynd yno a palu am y lliain lle roeddwn i wedi ei guddio. Roedd wedi ei ddifetha, ac yn dda i ddim. 8A dyma fi'n cael neges arall gan yr Arglwydd 9yn dweud, “Dyna sut bydda i'n difetha balchder Jwda a Jerwsalem. 10Mae'r bobl ddrwg yma yn gwrthod gwrando arna i. Maen nhw'n ystyfnig ac yn mynnu gwneud beth maen nhw eisiau. Maen nhw'n addoli eilun-dduwiau paganaidd. Felly byddan nhw'n cael eu difetha fel y lliain yma, sy'n dda i ddim bellach. 11Yn union fel lliain isaf wedi ei rwymo'n dynn am ganol dyn, roeddwn i wedi rhwymo pobl Israel a Jwda amdana i,” meddai'r Arglwydd. “Roeddwn i eisiau iddyn nhw fod yn bobl sbesial i mi, yn fy anrhydeddu i, ac yn fy addoli i. Ond roedden nhw'n gwrthod gwrando.” Y jariau gwin
12“Felly dywed wrthyn nhw mai dyma mae'r Arglwydd, Duw Israel, yn ei ddweud: ‘Mae pob jar gwin ▼▼13:12 jar gwin Mae chwarae ar eiriau yn yr Hebraeg yma. Mae'r gair Hebraeg am "jar gwin" ( nefel ) yn debyg iawn i'r gair Hebraeg am "ffŵl" ( nafal )
i gael ei lenwi â gwin!’ A byddan nhw'n ateb, ‘Wrth gwrs! Dŷn ni'n gwybod hynny'n iawn.’ 13Yna dywed di wrthyn nhw mai dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: ‘Dw i'n mynd i lenwi pobl y wlad yma nes byddan nhw'n feddw gaib – y brenhinoedd sy'n ddisgynyddion i Dafydd, yr offeiriaid, y proffwydi, a phobl Jerwsalem i gyd. 14Bydda i'n eu malu nhw fel jariau yn erbyn ei gilydd, rhieni a'u plant. Fydda i'n dangos dim trueni na thosturi atyn nhw. Bydda i'n eu dinistrio nhw,’” —yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.

Jeremeia: 15Gwrandwch! Peidiwch bod yn falch!—mae'r Arglwydd wedi dweud.
16Rhowch i'r Arglwydd eich Duw y parch mae'n ei haeddu
cyn iddo ddod â thywyllwch arnoch chi c.
Cyn i chi faglu a syrthio
wrth iddi dywyllu ar y mynyddoedd.
Cyn i'r golau dych chi'n chwilio amdano
droi'n dristwch ac yn dywyllwch dudew.
17Os wnewch chi ddim gwrando,
bydda i'n mynd o'r golwg i grïo am eich bod mor falch.
Bydda i'n beichio crïo, a bydd y dagrau'n llifo,
am fod praidd yr Arglwydd wedi ei gymryd yn gaeth.

Bydd eich coronau hardd yn cael eu cymryd oddi arnoch.
19Bydd giatiau trefi'r Negef wedi eu cau,
a neb yn gallu eu hagor.
Bydd pobl Jwda i gyd yn cael eu caethgludo!’”

Ble mae'r praidd gafodd ei rhoi yn dy ofal di?

21Sut fyddi di'n teimlo pan fydd yr Arglwydd
yn gosod y rhai wnest ti ffrindiau gyda nhw
i dy reoli di?
Byddi'n gwingo mewn poen
fel gwraig ar fin cael babi.
22Byddi'n gofyn i ti dy hun,
‘Pam mae'r pethau yma wedi digwydd i mi?
Pam mae fy nillad wedi eu rhwygo i ffwrdd?
Pam dw i wedi fy nhreisio fel hyn?’
A'r ateb ydy, am dy fod ti wedi gwneud cymaint o ddrwg!

a troi at dduwiau ffals yn fy lle.
26Bydda i'n dy gywilyddio di –
yn codi dy sgert dros dy wyneb
a bydd pawb yn gweld dy rannau preifat. g
27Dw i wedi gweld y pethau ffiaidd ti'n eu gwneud:
godinebu, a gweryru'n nwydus ar ôl duwiau eraill.
Ti wedi puteinio gyda nhw
ar ben y bryniau ac yn y caeau.
Mae hi ar ben arnat ti, Jerwsalem! Fyddi di byth yn lân!
Am faint mwy mae hyn i fynd ymlaen?”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
