Neges am Moab
1Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus, Duw Israel, yn ei ddweud am Moab: “Mae hi ar ben ar dref Nebo! Bydd hi'n cael ei dinistrio.Bydd Ciriathaim yn cael ei chywilyddio a'i choncro –
bydd y gaer yn cael ei chywilyddio a'i bwrw i lawr.
2Fydd Moab ddim yn cael ei hedmygu eto!
Bu cynllwynio yn Cheshbon i'w dinistrio:
‘Dewch! Gadewch i ni roi diwedd ar y wlad!’
Tref Madmen, cei dithau dy dawelu –
Does dim dianc rhag y rhyfel i fod.
3Gwrandwch ar y gweiddi yn Choronaïm!
‘Dinistr llwyr! Mae'n adfeilion!’
4Mae Moab wedi ei dryllio!
Bydd ei phlant yn gweiddi allan.
5Byddan nhw'n dringo llethrau Lwchith
ac yn wylo'n chwerw wrth fynd.
Ar y ffordd i lawr i Choronaïm
bydd sŵn pobl yn gweiddi mewn dychryn.
6‘Ffowch am eich bywydau! –
byddwch fel prysglwyn unig yn yr anialwch.’
7Am dy fod wedi trystio dy ymdrechion a dy gyfoeth dy hun,
byddi di hefyd yn cael dy goncro.
Bydd dy dduw Chemosh yn cael ei gymryd i ffwrdd,
a'i offeiriaid a'i swyddogion gydag e.
8Mae'r gelyn sy'n dinistrio yn dod i daro'r trefi i gyd,
fydd dim un yn dianc.
Bydd trefi'r dyffryn yn cael eu dinistrio,
a'r trefi ar y byrdd-dir uchel hefyd.
Dw i, yr Arglwydd, wedi dweud.
9Côd garreg fedd i Moab,
achos bydd yn cael ei throi'n adfeilion.
Bydd ei threfi yn cael eu dinistrio
a fydd neb yn byw ynddyn nhw.”
10(Melltith ar unrhyw un sy'n ddiog wrth wneud gwaith yr Arglwydd! Melltith ar unrhyw un sydd ddim yn defnyddio ei gleddyf i dywallt gwaed!)
Bydd yr Arglwydd yn dinistrio Moab
11“Mae Moab wedi teimlo'n saff o'r dechrau cyntaf.Mae hi wedi cael llonydd, fel gwin wedi hen setlo,
a heb gael ei dywallt o un jar i'r llall.
Dydy hi erioed wedi cael ei chymryd yn gaeth;
mae fel gwin sydd wedi cadw ei flas a'i arogl.
12“Ond mae'r amser yn dod pan fydda i'n anfon dynion i'w selar i'w thywallt allan a malu'r jariau'n ddarnau,” meddai'r Arglwydd. 13“Bydd gan Moab gywilydd o'i heilun-dduw Chemosh, fel roedd gan Israel gywilydd o'r llo roedd yn ei drystio yn Bethel. a 14Mae dynion Moab yn brolio,
‘Dŷn ni'n arwyr!
Dŷn ni'n filwyr cryfion!’
15Ond mae'r un sy'n dinistrio Moab yn dod.
Bydd ei threfi'n cael eu concro,
a'i milwyr ifanc gorau'n cael eu lladd,”
—y Brenin, sef yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus, sy'n dweud hyn.
16“Mae dinistr Moab ar fin digwydd;
mae'r drwg ddaw arni'n dod yn fuan.
17Galarwch drosti, chi wledydd sydd o'i chwmpas
a phawb sy'n gwybod amdani.
Dwedwch, ‘O! Mae ei grym wedi ei golli;
mae'r deyrnwialen hardd wedi ei thorri!’
18Dewch i lawr o'ch safle balch ac eistedd yn y baw,
chi sy'n byw yn Dibon. ▼

Bydd yr un fydd yn dinistrio Moab yn ymosod
ac yn dymchwel y caerau sy'n eich amddiffyn.
19Chi sy'n byw yn Aroer, ▼
▼48:19 Aroer Tref ar ffin ogleddol Moab, ar lan yr Afon Arnon.
safwch ar ochr y ffordd yn gwylio.
Gofynnwch i'r dynion a'r merched sy'n dianc,
‘Beth sydd wedi digwydd?’
20Byddan nhw'n ateb:
‘Mae Moab wedi ei chywilyddio
– mae wedi ei choncro.’
Udwch a chrïo!
Cyhoeddwch ar lan Afon Arnon
‘Mae Moab wedi ei dinistrio.’”
21Mae trefi'r byrdd-dir i gael eu barnu – Holon, Iahats, Meffaäth, 22Dibon, Nebo, Beth-diblathaim, 23Ciriathaim, Beth-gamwl, Beth-meon, 24Cerioth a Bosra. Bydd trefi Moab i gyd yn cael eu cosbi – pell ag agos. 25“Mae corn Moab wedi ei dorri, a'i nerth wedi dod i ben,” meddai'r Arglwydd. 26Roedd Moab yn brolio ei bod yn well na'r Arglwydd. Ond bydd fel meddwyn yn rholio yn ei chwŷd. Bydd pawb yn chwerthin ar ei phen! 27Onid chi, bobl Moab, oedd yn chwerthin ar ben Israel? Roeddech yn ei thrin fel petai'n lleidr, ac yn ysgwyd eich pennau bob tro roedd rhywun yn sôn amdani. 28Bobl Moab, gadewch eich trefi
a mynd i fyw yn y creigiau;
fel colomennod yn nythu
ar y clogwyni uwchben y ceunant.
29Dŷn ni wedi clywed am falchder Moab –
mae ei phobl mor falch!
yn hunandybus, yn brolio, yn snobyddlyd,
ac mor llawn ohoni ei hun! d
30“Dw innau'n gwybod mor filain ydy hi,”
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.
“Mae ei brolio hi'n wag,
ac yn cyflawni dim byd!
31Felly, bydda i'n udo dros bobl Moab.
Bydda i'n crïo dros Moab gyfan,
ac yn griddfan dros bobl Cir-cheres ▼

.32Bydda i'n wylo dros winwydden Sibma
mwy na mae tref Iaser yn wylo trosti.
Roedd ei changhennau'n ymestyn i'r Môr Marw ar un adeg;
roedden nhw'n cyrraedd mor bell â Iaser.
Ond mae'r gelyn sy'n dinistrio'n mynd i ddifetha
ei chnydau o ffigys a grawnwin.
33Bydd pleser a llawenydd yn diflannu'n llwyr
o dir ffrwythlon Moab.
Bydda i'n stopio'r gwin rhag llifo i'r cafnau;
fydd neb yn gweiddi'n llawen wrth sathru'r grawnwin –
bydd gweiddi, ond bydd y gweiddi'n wahanol.
34“Bydd y gweiddi a'r galar yn Cheshbon i'w glywed yn Eleale a hyd yn oed Iahats. Bydd i'w glywed o Soar i Choronaïm ac Eglath-shalisheia. Bydd hyd yn oed dŵr Nimrim yn cael ei sychu. 35Fydd neb yn mynd i fyny i aberthu ar yr allorau paganaidd, ac yn llosgi arogldarth i dduwiau Moab,” meddai'r Arglwydd. 36“Felly bydd fy nghalon yn griddfan fel pibau dros Moab. Pibau chwyth yn canu cân i alaru dros bobl Cir-cheres. Bydd y cyfoeth wnaethon nhw ei gasglu yn diflannu. 37“Bydd pawb wedi siafio'r pen a'r farf. Bydd pawb wedi torri eu dwylo a chyllyll, ac yn gwisgo sachliain. 38Fydd dim byd ond galaru i'w glywed ar bennau'r tai ac ar y sgwariau. Dw i'n mynd i dorri Moab fel potyn pridd does neb ei eisiau,” meddai'r Arglwydd. 39“Bydd wedi ei dorri'n deilchion! Bydd y bobl yn udo! Bydd Moab yn troi ei chefn mewn cywilydd! Bydd yn destun sbort ac yn olygfa ddychrynllyd i'r gwledydd o'i chwmpas.”

40Ie, dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: “Edrychwch! bydd y gelyn fel eryryn lledu ei adenydd ac yn plymio i lawr ar Moab.
41Bydd ei threfi yn cael eu meddiannu,
a'r caerau sy'n ei hamddiffyn yn cael eu dal.
Ar y diwrnod hwnnw bydd milwyr Moab wedi dychryn
fel gwraig ar fin cael babi!
42Bydd Moab yn cael ei dinistrio ac yn peidio â bod yn genedl,
am ei bod hi wedi brolio ei bod yn well na'r Arglwydd.
43Panig, pydew a thrap
sydd o'ch blaenau chi, bobl Moab!
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.
44Bydd pawb sy'n ffoi mewn dychryn
yn disgyn i lawr i dwll.
A bydd pawb sy'n dringo o'r twll
yn cael ei ddal mewn trap! f
Mae'r amser wedi dod
i mi gosbi Moab,
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.
45Bydd ffoaduriaid yn sefyll wedi ymlâdd
dan gysgod waliau Cheshbon.
Mae tân wedi lledu o Cheshbon,
fflamau o diriogaeth y Brenin Sihon.
Mae'n llosgi ar hyd ffiniau Moab
i ben y mynyddoedd yng ngwlad y bobl ryfelgar.
46Mae hi ar ben arnat ti, Moab!
Dych chi bobl sy'n addoli Chemosh wedi eich difa.
Mae eich meibion yn garcharorion,
a'ch merched wedi eu cymryd yn gaethion.
47Ond yn y dyfodol,
bydda i'n rhoi'r cwbl gollodd Moab yn ôl iddi.”
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
