Eneinio Iesu yn Bethania
(Mathew 26:6-13; Marc 14:3-9) 1Chwe diwrnod cyn Gŵyl y Pasg cyrhaeddodd Iesu Bethania, lle roedd Lasarus yn byw (y dyn ddaeth Iesu ag e yn ôl yn fyw.) 2Roedd swper wedi ei drefnu i anrhydeddu Iesu. Roedd Martha yn gweini, a Lasarus yn un o'r rhai oedd yn eistedd gydag Iesu wrth y bwrdd. 3Daeth Mair i mewn gyda jar hanner litr o nard pur, oedd yn bersawr drud iawn. Tywalltodd y persawr ar draed Iesu ac wedyn sychu ei draed gyda'i gwallt. Roedd arogl y persawr i'w glywed drwy'r tŷ i gyd. 4Ond yna dyma Jwdas Iscariot (y disgybl oedd yn mynd i fradychu Iesu yn nes ymlaen) yn protestio, 5“Roedd y persawr yna'n werth ffortiwn! Dylid bod wedi ei werthu, a rhoi'r arian i bobl dlawd!” 6(Ond doedd e ddim wir yn poeni am y tlodion. Beth oedd tu ôl i'w eiriau oedd y ffaith ei fod yn lleidr. Roedd Iesu a'i ddisgyblion yn rhannu un pwrs, a Jwdas oedd yn gyfrifol amdano, ond byddai'n arfer helpu ei hun i'r arian.) 7“Gad lonydd iddi,” meddai Iesu. “Mae hi wedi cadw beth sydd ganddi ar gyfer y diwrnod pan fydda i'n cael fy nghladdu. 8Bydd pobl dlawd o gwmpas i chi eu helpu nhw bob amser, a ond fydda i ddim yma bob amser.” 9Roedd tyrfa fawr o bobl Jwdea wedi darganfod fod Iesu yn Bethania. Dyma nhw'n mynd yno, ddim yn unig i weld Iesu, ond hefyd i weld Lasarus yr un ddaeth Iesu ag e yn ôl yn fyw. 10Ond roedd y prif offeiriaid wedi penderfynu fod rhaid cael gwared â Lasarus hefyd, 11am fod llawer o bobl o Jwdea wedi eu gadael nhw a dod i gredu yn Iesu o'i achos e.Marchogaeth i Jerwsalem

“Ie, dyma Frenin Israel!” 14Eisteddodd Iesu ar gefn asyn, fel mae'n dweud yn yr ysgrifau sanctaidd, 15 “Paid ag ofni, ddinas Jerwsalem.
Edrych! dy frenin sy'n dod,
ar gefn ebol asen.” c
16(Doedd y disgyblion ddim wedi deall arwyddocâd hyn i gyd ar y pryd. Dim ond ar ôl i Iesu gael ei anrhydeddu wnaethon nhw sylweddoli fod y pethau yma wedi eu hysgrifennu amdano, a'u bod nhw wedi digwydd iddo.) 17Roedd llawer iawn o'r bobl yn y dyrfa wedi gweld Iesu'n galw Lasarus allan o'r bedd a dod ag e yn ôl yn fyw, ac roedden nhw wedi bod yn dweud wrth bawb arall beth ddigwyddodd. 18Dyna pam roedd cymaint o bobl wedi mynd allan i'w gyfarfod – roedden nhw wedi clywed am yr arwydd gwyrthiol roedd wedi ei wneud. 19Roedd y Phariseaid yn dweud wrth ei gilydd, “Does dim pwynt! Edrychwch! Mae fel petai'r byd i gyd yn mynd ar ei ôl e!”

20Roedd rhai pobl oedd ddim yn Iddewon wedi mynd i addoli yn Jerwsalem adeg Gŵyl y Pasg. 21Dyma nhw'n mynd at Philip (oedd yn dod o Bethsaida, Galilea), a gofyn iddo, “Syr, dŷn ni eisiau gweld Iesu.” 22Aeth Philip i ddweud wrth Andreas, ac wedyn aeth y ddau ohonyn nhw i ddweud wrth Iesu. 23Ymateb Iesu oedd dweud fel hyn: “Mae'r amser wedi dod i mi, Mab y Dyn, gael fy anrhydeddu. 24Credwch chi fi, bydd hedyn o wenith yn aros fel y mae, yn ddim ond un hedyn bach, os fydd e ddim yn disgyn ar y ddaear a marw. Ond os bydd yn marw, bydd yn troi yn gnwd o hadau. 25Bydd y sawl sy'n meddwl am neb ond ei hun yn colli ei fywyd, tra bydd y sawl sy'n rhoi ei hun yn olaf yn y byd hwn yn cael bywyd tragwyddol. 26Os dych chi am fy ngwasanaethu i rhaid i chi ddilyn yr un llwybr â mi. Byddwch chi'n cael eich hun yn yr un sefyllfa a fi. Y rhai sy'n fy ngwasanaethu i fydd Duw, fy Nhad, yn eu hanrhydeddu. 27“Ar hyn o bryd dw i wedi cynhyrfu. Beth alla i ddweud? O Dad, achub fi rhag y profiad ofnadwy sydd i ddod? Na! dyma pam dw i wedi dod. 28Dad, dangos di mor wych wyt ti!” A dyma lais o'r nefoedd yn dweud, “Dw i wedi gwneud hynny, a bydda i'n gwneud eto.” 29Roedd rhai o'r bobl oedd yno yn meddwl mai sŵn taran oedd, ac eraill yn dweud “Na, angel oedd yn siarad ag e!” 30Ond meddai Iesu, “Er eich mwyn chi daeth y llais, dim er fy mwyn i. 31Mae'r amser wedi dod i'r byd gael ei farnu. Bydd Satan, tywysog y byd hwn, yn cael ei daflu allan. 32A phan ga i fy nghodi i fyny ar y groes, bydda i'n tynnu pobl o bobman ata i fy hun.” 33(Dwedodd hyn er mwyn dangos sut oedd yn mynd i farw.) 34“Mae'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn dweud fod y Meseia yn mynd i aros am byth,” meddai'r dyrfa wrtho, “felly am beth wyt ti'n sôn pan wyt ti'n dweud fod rhaid i Fab y Dyn farw? Pwy ydy'r ‛Mab y Dyn‛ yma rwyt ti'n sôn amdano?” d 35Yna dwedodd Iesu wrthyn nhw, “Bydd y golau gyda chi am ychydig mwy. Cerddwch yn y golau tra mae gyda chi, rhag i'r tywyllwch gael y llaw uchaf arnoch chi. Dydy'r rhai sy'n cerdded yn y tywyllwch ddim yn gwybod ble maen nhw'n mynd. 36Credwch yn y golau tra mae gyda chi, er mwyn i chi ddod yn bobl sy'n olau.” Ar ôl iddo ddweud hyn, dyma Iesu'n mynd ac yn cadw o'u golwg nhw.Y bobl yn dal ddim yn credu
37Ond er bod Iesu wedi gwneud cymaint o arwyddion gwyrthiol o'u blaenau nhw, roedden nhw'n dal i wrthod credu ynddo. 38Dyma'n union a ddwedodd y proffwyd Eseia fyddai'n digwydd: “Arglwydd, oes rhywun wedi credu ein neges?Oes rhywun wedi gweld mor rymus ydy'r Arglwydd?” e 39Os oedd hi'n amhosib iddyn nhw gredu, mae Eseia'n dweud pam mewn man arall:
40“Mae'r Arglwydd wedi dallu eu llygaid
a chaledu eu calonnau;
Fel arall, bydden nhw'n gweld a'u llygaid,
yn deall go iawn, ac yn troi,
a byddwn i'n eu hiacháu nhw.” f
41(Dwedodd Eseia y pethau yma am ei fod wedi gweld ysblander dwyfol Iesu. Am Iesu roedd e'n siarad.) 42Ac eto roedd nifer o arweinwyr crefyddol, hyd yn oed, wedi dod i gredu ynddo. Ond doedden nhw ddim yn barod i gyfadde'n agored eu bod nhw'n credu am eu bod yn ofni'r Phariseaid, a ddim am gael eu diarddel o'r synagog. 43Roedd yn well ganddyn nhw gael eu canmol gan bobl na chan Dduw. 44Yna dyma Iesu'n cyhoeddi'n uchel, “Mae'r rhai sy'n credu ynof fi yn credu yn Nuw hefyd, yn yr un sydd wedi fy anfon i. 45Pan maen nhw yn fy ngweld i maen nhw'n gweld yr un sydd wedi fy anfon i. 46Dw i wedi dod fel golau i'r byd, fel bod dim rhaid i'r bobl sy'n credu ynof fi aros yn y tywyllwch. 47“Ond am y rhai sydd wedi clywed beth dw i'n ei ddweud a gwrthod ufuddhau – dim fi sy'n eu condemnio nhw. Dod i achub y byd wnes i, dim dod i gondemnio'r byd. 48Ond bydd pawb sy'n fy ngwrthod i ac yn gwrthod derbyn beth dw i'n ei ddweud yn cael eu barnu – bydd beth ddwedais i yn eu condemnio nhw ar y dydd olaf. 49Dw i ddim wedi siarad ar fy liwt fy hun. Y Tad sydd wedi fy anfon i sydd wedi dweud wrtho i beth i'w ddweud, a sut i'w ddweud. 50A dw i'n gwybod fod beth mae e'n ei ddweud yn arwain i fywyd tragwyddol. Felly dw i'n dweud yn union beth mae'r Tad yn ei ddweud wrtho i.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
