Y proffwyd: 1Dw i yn ddyn sy'n gwybod beth ydy dioddef.Mae gwialen llid Duw wedi fy nisgyblu i.
2Mae e wedi fy ngyrru i ffwrdd
i fyw yng nghanol tywyllwch dudew.
3Ydy, mae wedi fy nharo i dro ar ôl tro,
yn ddi-stop.
4Mae wedi curo fy nghorff yn ddim,
ac wedi torri fy esgyrn.
5Mae fel byddin wedi fy amgylchynu,
yn ymosod arna i gyda gwasgfa chwerw.
6Mae wedi gwneud i mi eistedd yn y tywyllwch
fel y rhai sydd wedi marw ers talwm.
7Mae wedi cau amdana i, ac alla i ddim dianc.
Mae'n fy nal i lawr gyda chadwyni trymion.
8Dw i'n gweiddi'n daer am help,
ond dydy e'n cymryd dim sylw.
9Mae wedi blocio pob ffordd allan;
mae pob llwybr fel drysfa!
10Mae e fel arth neu lew a
yn barod i ymosod arna i.
11Llusgodd fi i ffwrdd a'm rhwygo'n ddarnau.
Allwn i wneud dim i amddiffyn fy hun.
12Anelodd ei fwa saeth ata i;
fi oedd ei darged.
13Gollyngodd ei saethau
a'm trywanu yn fy mherfedd.
14Mae fy mhobl wedi fy ngwneud i'n destun sbort, b
ac yn fy ngwawdio i ar gân.
15Mae e wedi gwneud i mi fwyta llysiau chwerw;
mae wedi llenwi fy mol gyda'r wermod.
16Mae wedi gwneud i mi gnoi graean,
ac wedi rhwbio fy ngwyneb yn y baw.
17Does gen i ddim tawelwch meddwl;
dw i wedi anghofio beth ydy bod yn hapus.
18Dywedais, “Alla i ddim cario mlaen.
Dw i wedi colli pob gobaith yn yr Arglwydd.”
19Mae meddwl amdana i fy hun yn dlawd a digartre
yn brofiad chwerw!
20Mae ar fy meddwl drwy'r amser,
ac mae'n fy ngwneud yn isel fy ysbryd.
21Ond wedyn dw i'n cofio hyn,
a dyma sy'n rhoi gobaith i mi:
22Mae cariad ffyddlon yr Arglwydd yn ddiddiwedd,
a'i garedigrwydd e'n para am byth.
23Maen nhw'n dod yn newydd bob bore.
“Arglwydd, rwyt ti mor anhygoel o ffyddlon!”

25Mae'r Arglwydd yn dda i'r rhai sy'n ei drystio,
ac i bwy bynnag sy'n troi ato am help.
26Mae'n beth da i ni ddisgwyl yn amyneddgar
i'r Arglwydd ddod i'n hachub ni.
27Mae'n beth da i rywun ddysgu ymostwng ▼

tra mae'n dal yn ifanc.
28Dylai rhywun eistedd yn dawel
pan mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddisgyblu e.
29Dylai orwedd ar ei wyneb ar lawr
yn y gobaith y bydd yr Arglwydd yn ymyrryd.
30Dylai droi'r foch arall i'r sawl sy'n ei daro,
a bod yn fodlon cael ei gam-drin a'i enllibio.
31Fydd yr Arglwydd ddim yn
ein gwrthod ni am byth.
32Er ei fod yn gwneud i rywun ddiodde, bydd yn tosturio,
achos mae ei gariad e mor fawr.
33Dydy e ddim eisiau gwneud i bobl ddioddef
nac achosi poen i bobl.
34Os ydy carcharorion gwlad yn cael eu sathru,
35a hawliau dynol yn cael eu diystyru,
a hynny o flaen y Duw Goruchaf ei hun;
36os ydy cwrs cyfiawnder yn cael ei wyrdroi yn y llys
– ydy'r Arglwydd ddim yn gweld y cwbl?
37Pwy sy'n gallu gorchymyn i unrhyw beth ddigwydd
heb i'r Arglwydd ei ganiatáu?
38Onid y Duw Goruchaf sy'n dweud beth sy'n digwydd
– p'run ai dinistr neu fendith?
39Pa hawl sydd gan rywun i gwyno
pan mae'n cael ei gosbi am ei bechod?
40Gadewch i ni edrych yn fanwl ar ein ffordd o fyw,
a throi nôl at yr Arglwydd.
41Gadewch i ni droi'n calonnau a chodi'n dwylo
at Dduw yn y nefoedd, a chyffesu,
42“Dŷn ni wedi gwrthryfela'n ddifrifol,
a dwyt ti ddim wedi maddau i ni.
43Rwyt wedi gwisgo dy lid amdanat a dod ar ein holau,
gan ladd pobl heb ddangos trugaredd.
44Ti wedi cuddio dy hun mewn cwmwl
nes bod ein gweddïau ddim yn torri trwodd.
45Ti wedi'n gwneud ni fel sbwriel a baw
yng ngolwg y bobloedd.
46Mae ein gelynion i gyd
yn gwneud hwyl ar ein pennau.
47Mae panig a'r pydew wedi'n dal ni,
difrod a dinistr.”
48Mae afonydd o ddagrau yn llifo o'm llygaid
am fod fy mhobl wedi cael eu dinistrio.
49Mae'r dagrau'n llifo yn ddi-baid;
wnân nhw ddim stopio
50nes bydd yr Arglwydd yn edrych i lawr
o'r nefoedd ac yn ein gweld ni.
51Mae gweld beth sydd wedi digwydd i ferched ifanc fy ninas
yn fy ngwneud i mor drist.
52Mae fy ngelynion wedi fy nal fel aderyn,
heb reswm da i wneud hynny.
53Maen nhw wedi fy nhaflu i waelod pydew
ac yna ei gau gyda charreg.
54Roedd y dŵr yn codi uwch fy mhen;
ron i'n meddwl fy mod i'n mynd i foddi.
55Ond dyma fi'n galw arnat ti am help, O Arglwydd,
o waelod y pydew.
56Dyma ti'n clywed fi'n pledio,
“Helpa fi! Paid gwrthod gwrando arna i!”
57A dyma ti'n dod ata i pan o'n i'n galw,
a dweud, “Paid bod ag ofn!”
58Fy Meistr, rwyt wedi dadlau fy achos;
rwyt wedi dod i'm hachub.
59Ti wedi gweld y drwg gafodd ei wneud i mi, O Arglwydd,
felly wnei di farnu o'm plaid i?
60Ti wedi gweld eu malais nhw,
a'r holl gynllwynio yn fy erbyn i.
61Ti wedi eu clywed nhw'n gwawdio, O Arglwydd,
a'r holl gynllwynio yn fy erbyn i.
62Mae'r rhai sy'n ymosod arna i yn sibrwd
ac yn hel straeon yn fy erbyn drwy'r amser.
63Edrycha arnyn nhw! – O fore gwyn tan nos
maen nhw'n fy ngwawdio i ar gân.
64Tala yn ôl iddyn nhw am beth wnaethon nhw, O Arglwydd;
rho iddyn nhw beth maen nhw'n ei haeddu.
65Gyrra nhw'n wallgof!

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
