Iesu yng nghartre un o'r Phariseaid
1Un Saboth, roedd Iesu wedi mynd am bryd o fwyd i gartref un o arweinwyr y Phariseaid. Roedd pawb yno'n ei wylio'n ofalus, 2am fod dyn o'i flaen oedd a'i freichiau a'i goesau wedi chwyddo'n fawr am fod y dropsi arno. 3Gofynnodd Iesu i'r Phariseaid a'r arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith, “Ydy'n iawn yn ôl y Gyfraith i iacháu ar y Saboth neu ddim?” 4Ond wnaethon nhw ddim ateb. Felly dyma Iesu'n rhoi ei ddwylo ar y dyn, a'i iacháu ac yna ei anfon i ffwrdd. 5Wedyn gofynnodd iddyn nhw, “Petai plentyn neu ychen un ohonoch chi yn syrthio i mewn i bydew ar y Saboth, fyddech chi ddim yn mynd i'w dynnu allan ar unwaith?” 6Doedd ganddyn nhw ddim ateb. 7Yna sylwodd Iesu hefyd fod y gwesteion i gyd yn ceisio cael y lleoedd gorau wrth y bwrdd. A dwedodd fel hyn wrthyn nhw: 8“Pan wyt ti'n cael gwahoddiad i wledd briodas, paid bachu'r sedd orau wrth y bwrdd. Falle fod rhywun pwysicach na ti wedi cael gwahoddiad. 9Wedyn byddai'n rhaid i'r sawl wnaeth dy wahodd di ofyn i ti symud – ‘Wnei di symud, i'r person yma gael eistedd.’ Am embaras! Gorfod symud i eistedd yn y sedd leia pwysig! a 10Mae'n llawer gwell i ti fynd ac eistedd yn y sedd honno, wedyn pan fydd y sawl roddodd wahoddiad i ti'n cyrraedd, bydd yn dweud, ‘Ffrind annwyl, tyrd yn nes, mae hon yn sedd well.’ Byddi di'n cael dy anrhydeddu yn lle cael dy gywilyddio o flaen y gwesteion eraill. 11Bydd Duw yn torri crib pobl falch, ac yn anrhydeddu'r rhai gostyngedig.” 12Wedyn dyma Iesu'n dweud hyn wrth y dyn oedd wedi ei wahodd i'r pryd bwyd, “Pan fyddi'n gwahodd pobl am bryd o fwyd, paid gwahodd dy ffrindiau, dy frodyr a dy chwiorydd, dy berthnasau, neu dy gymdogion cyfoethog. Mae'n bosib i bobl felly roi gwahoddiad yn ôl i ti, ac wedyn byddi di wedi derbyn dy dâl. 13Dyma beth ddylet ti ei wneud: Pan fyddi di'n trefnu gwledd, rho wahoddiad i bobl dlawd, methedig, cloff a dall, 14a byddi di'n cael dy fendithio. Dydyn nhw ddim yn gallu talu'n ôl i ti, ond byddi'n cael dy dâl pan fydd y rhai sydd â pherthynas iawn gyda Duw yn codi yn ôl yn fyw.”Stori'r wledd fawr

Dyma un yn dweud, ‘Dw i newydd brynu ychydig o dir, ac mae'n rhaid i mi fynd i'w weld. Wnei di f'esgusodi fi os gweli di'n dda?’ 19“Dyma un arall yn dweud, ‘Dw i newydd brynu pum pâr o ychen, a dw i'n mynd i roi prawf arnyn nhw. Wnei di f'esgusodi fi os gweli di'n dda?’ 20“A dyma un arall eto yn dweud, ‘Dw i newydd briodi, felly alla i ddim dod.’ 21“Felly dyma'r gwas yn mynd yn ôl a dweud wrth ei feistr beth oedd wedi digwydd. Roedd y meistr wedi gwylltio, ac meddai wrth y gwas, ‘Dos i'r dre ar unwaith, a thyrd â'r bobl sy'n cardota ar y strydoedd i mewn yma – y tlawd, y methedig, pobl sy'n gloff ac yn ddall.’ 22“Pan ddaeth y gwas yn ôl dwedodd wrth ei feistr, ‘Syr, dw i wedi gwneud beth ddwedaist ti, ond mae yna fwy o le ar ôl o hyd.’ 23“Felly dyma'r meistr yn dweud, ‘Dos allan o'r ddinas, i'r ffyrdd a'r lonydd yng nghefn gwlad. Perswadia'r bobl sydd yno i ddod. Dw i eisiau i'r tŷ fod yn llawn. 24Fydd yna ddim lle i neb o'r bobl hynny gafodd eu gwahodd! Fyddan nhw ddim yn cael tamaid o'r wledd dw i wedi ei threfnu.’”Cost bod yn ddisgybl

Neu all e ddim bod yn ddisgybl i mi. 27A does neb yn gallu bod yn ddisgybl i mi chwaith heb gario ei groes a cherdded yr un llwybr o hunanaberth. 28“Does neb yn mynd ati i adeiladu adeilad mawr heb eistedd i lawr yn gyntaf i amcangyfri'r gost a gwneud yn siŵr fod ganddo ddigon o arian i orffen y gwaith. 29Does dim pwynt iddo fynd ati i osod y sylfeini ac wedyn darganfod ei fod yn methu ei orffen. Byddai pawb yn gwneud hwyl ar ei ben, 30ac yn dweud ‘Edrychwch, dyna'r dyn ddechreuodd y gwaith ar yr adeilad acw a methu ei orffen!’ 31“A dydy brenin ddim yn mynd i ryfel heb eistedd gyda'i gynghorwyr yn gyntaf, ac ystyried ydy hi'n bosib i'w fyddin o ddeg mil o filwyr drechu'r fyddin o ugain mil sy'n ymosod arno. 32Os ydy'r peth yn amhosib bydd yn anfon swyddogion i geisio cytuno ar delerau heddwch – a hynny pan fydd byddin y gelyn yn dal yn bell i ffwrdd! 33Dych chi yn yr un sefyllfa. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
