ac roedd tyrfa o bobl o'i gwmpas yn gwthio ymlaen i wrando ar neges Duw. 2Gwelodd fod dau gwch wedi eu gadael ar y lan tra roedd y pysgotwyr wrthi'n golchi eu rhwydi. 3Aeth i mewn i un o'r cychod, a gofyn i Simon, y perchennog, ei wthio allan ychydig oddi wrth y lan. Yna eisteddodd a dechrau dysgu'r bobl o'r cwch. 4Pan oedd wedi gorffen siarad dwedodd wrth Simon, “Dos â'r cwch allan lle mae'r dŵr yn ddwfn, a gollwng y rhwydi i ti gael dalfa o bysgod.” 5“Meistr,” meddai Simon wrtho, “buon ni'n gweithio'n galed drwy'r nos neithiwr heb ddal dim byd! Ond am mai ti sy'n gofyn, gollynga i y rhwydi.” 6Dyna wnaethon nhw a dyma nhw'n dal cymaint o bysgod nes i'r rhwydi ddechrau rhwygo. 7Dyma nhw'n galw ar eu partneriaid yn y cwch arall i ddod i'w helpu. Pan ddaeth y rheiny, cafodd y ddau gwch eu llenwi â chymaint o bysgod nes eu bod bron â suddo! 8Pan welodd Simon Pedr beth oedd wedi digwydd, syrthiodd ar ei liniau o flaen Iesu a dweud, “Dos i ffwrdd oddi wrtho i, Arglwydd; dw i'n ormod o bechadur!” 9Roedd Simon a'i gydweithwyr wedi dychryn wrth weld faint o bysgod gafodd eu dal; 10ac felly hefyd partneriaid Simon – Iago ac Ioan, meibion Sebedeus. Dyma Iesu'n dweud wrth Simon, “Paid bod ofn; o hyn ymlaen byddi di'n dal pobl yn lle pysgod.” 11Felly ar ôl llusgo eu cychod i'r lan, dyma nhw'n gadael popeth i fynd ar ei ôl. Pan welodd hwnnw Iesu, syrthiodd ar ei wyneb ar lawr a chrefu am gael ei iacháu, “Arglwydd, gelli di fy ngwneud i'n iach os wyt ti eisiau.” 13Dyma Iesu yn estyn ei law a chyffwrdd y dyn. “Dyna dw i eisiau,” meddai, “bydd lân!” A'r eiliad honno dyma'r gwahanglwyf yn diflannu. 14Ar ôl ei rybuddio i beidio dweud wrth neb beth oedd wedi digwydd, dyma Iesu'n dweud wrtho, “Dos i ddangos dy hun i'r offeiriad. Ac fel y dwedodd Moses, dos ag offrwm gyda ti, yn dystiolaeth i'r bobl dy fod ti wedi cael dy iacháu.” ▼▼5:14 Dos i ddangos … iacháu: Os oedd rhywun yn cael ei iacháu o glefyd heintus ar y croen roedd rhaid i offeiriad ei archwilio, a chyhoeddi fod y person yn iach. Wedyn roedd rhaid cyflwyno offrwm o ddau oen gwryw ac un oen benyw a blawd wedi ei gymysgu gydag olew olewydd.

(Mathew 9:1-8; Marc 2:1-12) 17Un diwrnod, pan oedd Iesu wrthi'n dysgu'r bobl, roedd Phariseaid ac arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith yn eistedd, heb fod yn bell, yn gwrando arno. (Roedden nhw wedi dod yno o bob rhan o Galilea, a hefyd o Jwdea a Jerwsalem). Ac roedd nerth yr Arglwydd yn galluogi Iesu i iacháu pobl. 18A dyma ryw bobl yn dod â dyn oedd wedi ei barlysu ato, yn gorwedd ar fatras. Roedden nhw'n ceisio mynd i mewn i'w osod i orwedd o flaen Iesu. 19Pan wnaethon nhw fethu gwneud hynny am fod yno gymaint o dyrfa, dyma nhw'n mynd i fyny ar y to ac yn tynnu teils o'r to i'w ollwng i lawr ar ei fatras i ganol y dyrfa, reit o flaen Iesu. 20Pan welodd Iesu'r ffydd oedd ganddyn nhw, dwedodd wrth y dyn, “Mae dy bechodau wedi eu maddau.” 21Dyma'r Phariseaid a'r arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith yn dechrau meddwl, “Pwy ydy hwn, ei fod yn cablu fel hyn? Duw ydy'r unig un sy'n gallu maddau pechodau!” 22Roedd Iesu'n gwybod beth oedd yn mynd trwy'u meddyliau, a gofynnodd iddyn nhw, “Pam dych chi'n meddwl mod i'n cablu? 23Beth ydy'r peth hawsaf i'w ddweud – ‘Mae dy bechodau wedi eu maddau,’ neu ‘Cod ar dy draed a cherdda’? 24Cewch weld fod gen i, Fab y Dyn, hawl i faddau pechodau ar y ddaear.” A dyma Iesu'n troi at y dyn oedd wedi ei barlysu a dweud wrtho, “Cod ar dy draed, cymer dy fatras, a dos adre.” 25A dyna'n union wnaeth y dyn! Cododd ar ei draed o flaen pawb yn y fan a'r lle, cymryd y fatras roedd wedi bod yn gorwedd arni, ac aeth adre gan foli Duw. 26Roedd pawb wedi eu syfrdanu'n llwyr ac roedden nhw hefyd yn moli Duw. “Dŷn ni wedi gweld pethau anhygoel heddiw,” medden nhw.Galw Lefi
(Mathew 9:9-13; Marc 2:13-17) 27Ar ôl hyn aeth Iesu allan a gwelodd un oedd yn casglu trethi i Rufain, dyn o'r enw Lefi, yn eistedd yn y swyddfa dollau lle roedd yn gweithio. “Tyrd, dilyn fi,” meddai Iesu wrtho; 28a dyma Lefi'n codi ar unwaith, gadael popeth, a mynd ar ei ôl. 29Dyma Lefi yn trefnu parti mawr i Iesu yn ei dŷ, ac roedd criw mawr o ddynion oedd yn casglu trethi i Rufain a phobl eraill yno'n bwyta gyda nhw. 30Ond dyma'r Phariseaid a'u harbenigwyr nhw yn y Gyfraith yn cwyno i'w ddisgyblion, “Pam dych chi'n bwyta ac yfed gyda'r bradwyr sy'n casglu trethi i Rufain, a phobl eraill sy'n ddim byd ond ‛pechaduriaid‛?” 31Dyma Iesu'n eu hateb nhw, “Dim pobl iach sydd angen meddyg, ond pobl sy'n sâl. 32Dw i wedi dod i alw pechaduriaid i droi at Dduw, dim y rhai sy'n meddwl eu bod nhw heb fai.”Holi Iesu am ymprydio
(Mathew 9:14-17; Marc 2:18-22) 33Dyma nhw'n dweud wrth Iesu, “Mae disgyblion Ioan yn ymprydio ac yn gweddïo'n aml, a disgyblion y Phariseaid yr un fath. Pam mae dy rai di yn dal ati i fwyta ac yfed drwy'r adeg?” 34Atebodd Iesu nhw, “Ydych chi'n gorfodi pobl sy'n mynd i wledd briodas i ymprydio? Maen nhw yno i ddathlu gyda'r priodfab! 35Ond bydd y priodfab yn cael ei gymryd i ffwrdd oddi wrthyn nhw, a byddan nhw'n ymprydio bryd hynny.” 36Yna dyma Iesu'n dweud fel hyn wrthyn nhw: “Does neb yn rhwygo darn o frethyn oddi ar ddilledyn newydd a'i ddefnyddio i drwsio hen ddilledyn. Byddai'r dilledyn newydd wedi ei rwygo, a'r darn newydd o frethyn ddim yn gweddu i'r hen. 37A does neb yn tywallt gwin sydd heb aeddfedu i hen boteli crwyn. Byddai'r crwyn yn byrstio, y gwin yn cael ei golli a'r poteli yn cael eu difetha. 38Na, rhaid defnyddio poteli crwyn newydd i'w ddal. 39Ond y peth ydy, does neb eisiau'r gwin newydd ar ôl bod yn yfed yr hen win! ‘Mae'n well gynnon ni'r hen win,’ medden nhw!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
