1Os ydy perthyn i'r Meseia yn anogaeth o unrhyw fath i chi; os ydy ei gariad o unrhyw gysur i chi; os ydy'r Ysbryd yn eich clymu chi'n un, ac yn eich gwneud yn llawn tosturi ac yn garedig 2– yna gwnewch fi'n wirioneddol hapus drwy rannu'r un agwedd meddwl, dangos cariad at eich gilydd, a bod yn un o ran ysbryd a phwrpas. 3Peidiwch bod am y gorau i fod yn bwysig, nac yn llawn ohonoch chi'ch hunain. Byddwch yn ostyngedig, a pheidio meddwl eich bod chi'n well na phobl eraill. 4Meddyliwch am bobl eraill gyntaf, yn lle dim ond meddwl amdanoch chi'ch hunain. 5Dylai eich agwedd chi fod yr un fath ag agwedd y Meseia Iesu: 6Roedd e'n rhannu'r un natur â Duw,heb angen ceisio gwneud ei hun yn gydradd â Duw;
7ond dewisodd roi ei hun yn llwyr i wasanaethu eraill, ▼

a dod aton ni fel person dynol –
roedd yn amlwg i bawb ei fod yn ddyn.
8Yna diraddio ei hun fwy fyth,
a bod yn ufudd, hyd yn oed i farw –
ie, trwy gael ei ddienyddio ar y groes.
9Felly dyma Duw yn ei ddyrchafu i'r safle uchaf;
a rhoi'r enw pwysica un iddo!
10Bydd pob glin yn plygu i enw Iesu –
pawb yn y nefoedd,
ar y ddaear,
a than y ddaear;
11a bydd pawb yn cydnabod b
mai Iesu Grist ydy'r Arglwydd,
ac yn rhoi clod i Dduw y Tad.

12Felly, ffrindiau annwyl, fel roeddech chi'n ufudd pan oeddwn i acw gyda chi, mae'n bwysicach fyth eich bod chi'n ufudd pan dw i'n absennol. Gyda pharch a defosiwn i Dduw daliwch ati i weithio ar eich iechyd ysbrydol fel cymuned. 13Mae Duw ar waith yn eich bywydau chi, yn creu'r awydd ynoch chi ac yn eich galluogi chi i wneud beth sy'n ei blesio fe. 14Gwnewch bopeth heb gwyno a ffraeo, 15er mwyn i chi dyfu fel plant i Dduw, yn byw bywydau glân a di-fai yng nghanol cymdeithas o bobl droëdig ac ystyfnig. c Byddwch fel sêr yn disgleirio yn yr awyr 16wrth i chi rannu'r neges am y bywyd newydd gydag eraill. Wedyn pan ddaw y Meseia yn ôl, bydda i yn gallu bod yn falch ohonoch chi. Bydda i'n gwybod na fuodd yr holl redeg a'r gwaith caled yn wastraff amser. 17Mae'n bosib iawn y bydda i'n marw fel merthyr, a'm gwaed i'n cael ei dywallt fel diodoffrwm ar aberth y gwasanaeth ffyddlon dych chi'n ei gyflwyno i Dduw. Os mai dyna sydd i ddigwydd, dw i'n hapus, ac am rannu fy llawenydd gyda chi. 18A dylech chithau hefyd fod yn hapus, i mi gael rhannu eich llawenydd chi.Timotheus ac Epaffroditws
19Dw i'n gobeithio anfon Timotheus atoch chi'n fuan, os bydd yr Arglwydd Iesu yn caniatáu hynny, er mwyn cael newyddion amdanoch chi fydd yn codi nghalon i. 20Does gen i neb tebyg i Timotheus. Mae'n teimlo'n union fel dw i'n teimlo – mae ganddo'r fath gonsýrn drosoch chi. 21Poeni amdanyn nhw eu hunain mae pawb arall, dim am beth sy'n bwysig i Iesu Grist. 22Ond mae Timotheus yn wahanol, mae wedi profi ei hun yn wahanol. Mae wedi gweithio gyda mi dros y newyddion da, fel mab yn helpu ei dad. 23Felly dw i'n gobeithio ei anfon atoch chi cyn gynted ag y ca i wybod beth sy'n mynd i ddigwydd i mi. 24Ac ydw, dw i wir yn hyderus y bydd yr Arglwydd yn caniatáu i minnau ddod i'ch gweld chi'n fuan! 25Ond yn y cyfamser dw i wedi bod yn teimlo bod rhaid i mi anfon Epaffroditws yn ôl atoch chi – brawd ffyddlon arall sy'n gydweithiwr ac yn gyd-filwr dros achos Iesu. Chi wnaeth ei anfon e i'm helpu i pan roeddwn i angen help. 26Mae wedi bod yn hiraethu amdanoch chi, ac yn poeni'n fawr eich bod wedi clywed ei fod wedi bod yn sâl. 27Mae'n wir, roedd e'n wirioneddol sâl. Bu bron iddo farw. Ond buodd Duw'n garedig ato – ac ata i hefyd. Petai e wedi marw byddwn i wedyn wedi cael fy llethu gan fwy fyth o dristwch. 28Dyna pam dw i mor awyddus i'w anfon yn ôl atoch chi. Dw i'n gwybod y byddwch chi mor llawen o'i weld, a fydd dim rhaid i mi boeni cymaint. 29Felly rhowch groeso brwd iddo. Dylid anrhydeddu pobl debyg iddo, 30achos bu bron iddo farw wrth wasanaethu'r Meseia. Mentrodd ei fywyd er mwyn fy helpu i, a gwneud ar eich rhan chi beth roeddech chi'n methu ei wneud eich hunain.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
