1Haleliwia! Diolchwch i'r Arglwydd!Mae e mor dda aton ni;
Mae ei haelioni yn ddiddiwedd!
2Pwy sy'n gallu dweud am yr holl bethau mawr
mae'r Arglwydd wedi eu gwneud?
Pwy sy'n gallu dweud gymaint mae e'n haeddu ei foli?
3Y fath fendith sydd i'r rhai sy'n byw yn gywir,
ac yn gwneud beth sy'n iawn bob amser!
4Cofia fi, O Arglwydd, pan fyddi di'n helpu dy bobl;
sylwa arna i pan fyddi di'n eu hachub nhw!
5Dw i eisiau gweld y rhai rwyt ti wedi eu dewis yn llwyddo,
dw i eisiau rhannu eu llawenydd nhw,
a dathlu gyda dy bobl di.
6Dŷn ni, fel ein hynafiaid, wedi pechu yn dy erbyn di;
dŷn ni wedi mynd ar gyfeiliorn, a gwneud drwg.
7Wnaeth ein hynafiaid yn yr Aifft ddim gwerthfawrogi dy wyrthiau rhyfeddol.
Dyma nhw'n anghofio popeth wnest ti yn dy gariad,
a gwrthryfela yn erbyn y Duw Goruchaf wrth y Môr Coch. ▼

8Ac eto achubodd nhw, er mwyn ei enw da,
ac er mwyn dangos ei nerth.
9Gwaeddodd ar y Môr Coch a'i sychu!
Yna eu harwain drwy'r dyfnder, fel petai'n dir anial.
10Cadwodd nhw'n saff rhag y rhai oedd yn eu casáu,
a'u rhyddhau o afael y gelyn.
11Dyma'r dŵr yn llifo'n ôl dros y gelynion,
gan adael dim un ar ôl yn fyw.
12Roedden nhw'n credu beth ddwedodd e wedyn,
ac yn canu mawl iddo!
13Ond dyma nhw'n anghofio'r cwbl wnaeth e'n fuan iawn!
Wnaethon nhw ddim disgwyl am ei arweiniad.
14Roedden nhw'n ysu am gael cig yn yr anialwch,
a dyma nhw'n rhoi Duw ar brawf yn y tir sych.
15Rhoddodd iddyn nhw beth roedden nhw eisiau,
ond yna eu taro nhw gyda chlefyd oedd yn eu gwneud yn wan.
16Roedd pobl yn y gwersyll yn genfigennus o Moses,
ac o Aaron, yr un roedd yr Arglwydd wedi ei gysegru.
17Agorodd y ddaear a llyncu Dathan,
a gorchuddio'r rhai oedd gydag Abiram.
18Cafodd tân ei gynnau yn eu plith nhw,
a dyma'r fflamau yn llosgi'r bobl ddrwg hynny. b
19Wedyn dyma nhw'n gwneud eilun o darw yn Sinai, ▼

20Cyfnewid y Duw bendigedig
am ddelw o ychen sy'n bwyta glaswellt!
21Roedden nhw wedi anghofio'r Duw achubodd nhw!
Anghofio'r Duw wnaeth bethau mor fawr yn yr Aifft –
22y gwyrthiau rhyfeddol yn nhir Cham,
a'r pethau anhygoel wrth y Môr Coch. ▼

23Pan oedd Duw yn bygwth eu dinistrio nhw,
dyma Moses, y dyn oedd wedi ei ddewis,
yn sefyll yn y bwlch
ac yn troi ei lid i ffwrdd.
24Wedyn dyma nhw'n gwrthod y tir hyfryd,
ac yn gwrthod credu yr addewid roddodd e.
25Roedden nhw'n cwyno yn eu pebyll
ac yn gwrthod bod yn ufudd i'r Arglwydd.
26Felly dyma Duw yn mynd ar ei lw
y byddai'n eu lladd nhw yn yr anialwch!
27Byddai'n gwasgaru eu disgynyddion i'r cenhedloedd
a'u chwalu nhw drwy'r gwledydd.
28A dyma nhw'n dechrau addoli Baal-peor, e
a bwyta aberthau wedi eu cyflwyno i bethau marw!
29Roedd beth wnaethon nhw'n gwneud Duw yn ddig,
a dyma bla yn mynd ar led yn eu plith.

31Cafodd ei dderbyn i berthynas iawn gyda Duw,
a hynny am byth!
32Dyma nhw'n digio Duw eto wrth Ffynnon Meriba h
a bu'n rhaid i Moses ddiodde o'u hachos.
33Roedden nhw wedi ei wneud e mor chwerw
nes iddo ddweud pethau byrbwyll.
34Wedyn, wnaethon nhw ddim dinistrio'r cenhedloedd
fel roedd yr Arglwydd wedi gorchymyn.
35Yn lle hynny dyma nhw'n cymysgu gyda'r cenhedloedd
a dechrau byw yr un fath â nhw.
36Roedden nhw'n addoli eu duwiau,
a dyma hynny'n gwneud iddyn nhw faglu.
37Dyma nhw'n aberthu eu meibion
a'u merched i gythreuliaid!
38Ie, tywallt gwaed plant diniwed
– gwaed eu meibion a'u merched eu hunain! –
a'u haberthu nhw i eilun-dduwiau Canaan.
Roedd y tir wedi ei lygru gan y gwaed gafodd ei dywallt.
39Roedd beth wnaethon nhw'n eu llygru nhw;
roedden nhw'n ymddwyn yn anffyddlon.
40Felly dyma'r Arglwydd yn gwylltio'n lân hefo nhw!
Roedd yn ffieiddio ei bobl ei hun!
41Dyma fe'n eu rhoi nhw yn nwylo'r cenhedloedd;
a gadael i'w gelynion eu rheoli.
42Roedd gelynion yn eu gormesu;
roedden nhw dan eu rheolaeth nhw'n llwyr!
43Er bod Duw wedi eu hachub nhw dro ar ôl tro,
roedden nhw'n dal yn ystyfnig ac yn tynnu'n groes.
Aeth pethau o ddrwg i waeth o achos eu drygioni.
44Ond pan oedd Duw'n gweld eu bod nhw mewn trybini
ac yn eu clywed nhw'n gweiddi am help,
45roedd yn cofio'r ymrwymiad wnaeth e iddyn nhw
ac yn ymatal o achos ei gariad atyn nhw.
46Gwnaeth i bawb oedd yn eu dal nhw'n gaeth
fod yn garedig atyn nhw.
47Achub ni, O Arglwydd ein Duw!
Casgla ni at ein gilydd o blith y cenhedloedd!
Wedyn byddwn ni'n diolch i ti, y Duw sanctaidd,
ac yn brolio'r cwbl rwyt ti wedi ei wneud.
48Bendith ar yr Arglwydd, Duw Israel,
o hyn ymlaen ac i dragwyddoldeb!
Gadewch i'r bobl i gyd ddweud, “Amen!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
