Trystio'r Arglwydd a troi cefn ar ddrwg
Salm Dafydd.
1Paid digio pan mae pobl ddrwg yn llwyddo;paid bod yn genfigennus ohonyn nhw.
2Byddan nhw'n gwywo'n ddigon sydyn, fel glaswellt,
ac yn diflannu fel egin gwan.
3Trystia'r Arglwydd a gwna beth sy'n dda,
Setla i lawr yn y tir a mwynhau ei ffyddlondeb.
4Ceisia ffafr yr Arglwydd bob amser,
a bydd e'n rhoi i ti bopeth wyt ti eisiau.
5Rho dy hun yn nwylo'r Arglwydd
a'i drystio fe; bydd e'n gweithredu ar dy ran di.
6Bydd e'n achub dy gam di o flaen pawb!
Bydd y ffaith fod dy achos yn gyfiawn
mor amlwg a'r haul ganol dydd.
7Bydd yn amyneddgar wrth ddisgwyl am yr Arglwydd.
Paid digio pan wyt ti'n gweld pobl eraill yn llwyddo
wrth ddilyn eu cynlluniau cyfrwys.
8Paid gwylltio am y peth, na cholli dy dymer.
Paid digio. Drwg ddaw iddyn nhw'n y diwedd!
9Bydd pobl ddrwg yn cael eu taflu allan,
ond bydd y rhai sy'n gobeithio yn yr Arglwydd
yn meddiannu'r tir!
10Fydd y rhai drwg ddim i'w gweld yn unman mewn ychydig!
Byddi'n edrych amdanyn nhw, ond byddan nhw wedi mynd.
11Ond bydd y rhai sy'n cael eu cam-drin yn meddiannu'r tir,
ac yn cael mwynhau heddwch a llwyddiant.
12Mae'r rhai drwg yn cynllwynio yn erbyn y rhai sy'n byw yn iawn,
ac yn ysgyrnygu eu dannedd fel anifeiliaid gwylltion.
13Ond mae'r Arglwydd yn chwerthin ar eu pennau!
Mae e'n gwybod fod eu tro nhw'n dod!
14Mae'r rhai drwg yn tynnu eu cleddyfau, ac yn plygu eu bwâu,
i daro i lawr y rhai sy'n cael eu gorthrymu ac sydd mewn angen,
ac i ladd y rhai sy'n byw'n gywir.
15Ond byddan nhw'n cael eu trywanu gan eu cleddyfau eu hunain,
a bydd eu bwâu yn cael eu torri!
16Mae'r ychydig sydd gan berson sy'n byw yn iawn
yn well na'r holl gyfoeth sydd gan y rhai drwg.
17Bydd pobl ddrwg yn colli eu grym,
ond mae'r Arglwydd yn cynnal y rhai sy'n byw yn iawn.
18Mae'r Arglwydd yn gofalu amdanyn nhw bob dydd;
mae ganddyn nhw etifeddiaeth fydd yn para am byth.
19Fydd dim cywilydd arnyn nhw pan mae'n ddyddiau anodd;
pan fydd newyn bydd ganddyn nhw ddigon i'w fwyta.
20Ond bydd y rhai drwg yn marw.
Bydd gelynion yr Arglwydd yn cael eu difa,
fel gwellt yn cael ei losgi mewn ffwrn.
21Mae pobl ddrwg yn benthyg heb dalu'r ddyled yn ôl;
ond mae'r rhai sy'n byw yn iawn yn hael ac yn dal ati i roi.
22Bydd y bobl mae Duw'n eu bendithio yn meddiannu'r tir,
ond y rhai mae'n eu melltithio yn cael eu gyrru i ffwrdd.
23Mae'r Arglwydd yn sicrhau llwyddiant
yr un sy'n byw i'w blesio.
24Bydd yn baglu weithiau, ond fydd e ddim yn syrthio ar ei wyneb,
achos mae'r Arglwydd yn gafael yn ei law.
25Roeddwn i'n ifanc ar un adeg, ond bellach dw i mewn oed.
Dw i erioed wedi gweld rhywun sy'n byw yn iawn yn cael ei siomi gan Dduw,
na'i blant yn gorfod chwilio am fwyd.
26Mae bob amser yn hael ac yn benthyg i eraill,
ac mae ei blant yn cael eu bendithio.
27Tro dy gefn ar ddrwg a gwna beth sy'n dda,
a byddi'n saff am byth.
28Mae'r Arglwydd yn caru beth sy'n gyfiawn,
a dydy e byth yn siomi'r rhai sy'n ffyddlon iddo.
Maen nhw'n saff bob amser!
Ond bydd plant y rhai drwg yn cael eu gyrru i ffwrdd.
29Bydd y rhai sy'n byw yn iawn yn meddiannu'r tir,
ac yn aros yno am byth.
30Mae pobl dduwiol yn dweud beth sy'n ddoeth,
ac yn hybu cyfiawnder.
31Cyfraith Duw sy'n rheoli eu ffordd o feddwl,
a dŷn nhw byth yn llithro.
32Mae'r rhai drwg yn disgwyl am gyfle
i ymosod ar y sawl sy'n byw'n iawn,
yn y gobaith o'i ladd;
33ond fydd yr Arglwydd ddim gadael iddo syrthio i'w dwylo;
fydd e ddim yn cael ei gondemnio yn y llys.
34Disgwyl am yr Arglwydd!
Dos y ffordd mae e'n dweud
a bydd e'n rhoi'r gallu i ti feddiannu'r tir.
Byddi'n gweld y rhai drwg yn cael eu gyrru i ffwrdd.
35Dw i wedi gweld pobl ddrwg, creulon,
yn llwyddo ac yn lledu fel coeden ddeiliog yn ei chynefin.
36Ond wedyn wrth basio heibio, sylwais eu bod wedi diflannu!
Ro'n i'n edrych, ond doedd dim sôn amdanyn nhw!
37Edrych ar y rhai gonest! Noda'r rhai sy'n byw'n gywir!
Mae dyfodol i'r rhai sy'n hybu heddwch.
38Ond bydd y rhai sy'n troseddu yn cael eu dinistrio'n llwyr!
Does dim dyfodol i'r rhai drwg!
39Mae'r Arglwydd yn achub y rhai sy'n byw'n gywir,
ac yn eu hamddiffyn pan maen nhw mewn trafferthion.
40Mae'r Arglwydd yn eu helpu ac yn eu hachub;
mae'n eu hachub o afael pobl ddrwg,
am eu bod wedi troi ato i'w hamddiffyn.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
