jsem v městě Joppe a modlil jsem se. A tu jsem ve vytržení spatřil vidění: jakousi nádobu, která sestupovala jako veliká plachta, spouštěná za čtyři rohy z nebe, a přišla až ke mně. 6Když jsem se do ní pozorně zahleděl a pozoroval ji, uviděl jsem zemské čtvernožce i dravou zvěř, plazy a nebeské ptáky. 7Uslyšel jsem také hlas, který mi říkal: 'Vstaň, Petře, zabíjej a jez!' 8Řekl jsem: 'Ne, Pane, neboť do mých úst nikdy nevešlo nic poskvrněného nebo nečistého.' 9Ale hlas z nebe mi odpověděl podruhé: 'Co Bůh očistil, ty neměj za poskvrněné.' 10To se stalo třikrát a vše bylo opět vyzdviženo do nebe. 11A hle, v tu chvíli dorazili k domu, ve kterém jsem byl, ▼▼var.: jsme byli
tři muži poslaní ke mně z Cesareje. 12Duch mi řekl, abych šel bez pochybování s nimi. Šlo se mnou také těchto šest bratrů a vstoupili jsme do domu toho muže. 13Oznámil nám, jak uviděl ve svém domě anděla, který stanul před ním a řekl [mu]: 'Pošli do Joppe a pozvi Šimona, který se nazývá Petr; 14ten ti poví ⌈slova, jimiž⌉ ▼▼ř.: výroky, v nichž

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
