26Když to setník uslyšel, přišel k veliteli a oznámil mu to. Řekl: „Co chceš dělat? Vždyť tento člověk je římský občan!“ ▼▼ř.: Říman
27Velitel přišel k Pavlovi a řekl mu: „Řekni mi, jsi římský občan?“ On řekl: „Ano.“ 28Velitel mu na to řekl: „Já jsem získal toto občanství za veliké peníze.“ Pavel řekl: „Já jsem se však jako římský občan narodil.“ ▼▼[tj. zdědil po rodičích; srv. Jr 2,14p]
29Okamžitě od něho odstoupili ti, kteří ho měli vyslýchat. Také velitel dostal strach, když se dověděl, že Pavel je římský občan, a on ho dal spoutat. 30Pavel před veleradou

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
