5Přišel tedy do samařského města zvaného Sychar, ▼▼[v blízkosti města Šekem (dnešní Nablus); snad vesnice Askar 1,5 km SV od Jákobovy studny]

6Tam byl Jákobův pramen. Ježíš, unaven cestou, ⌈se posadil⌉ ▼▼ř.: seděl takto
u toho pramene. Bylo kolem poledne. ▼▼ř.: šesté hodiny
7Tu přišla samařská žena, aby načerpala vodu. Ježíš jí řekl: „Dej mi napít.“ 8Jeho učedníci totiž odešli do města, ▼▼v. 5
aby nakoupili jídlo. 9Samařská žena mu řekla: „Jak to, že ty, ač jsi Žid, žádáš mne, samařskou ženu, abych ti dala napít?“ Židé totiž se Samařany ▼▼8,48; Mt 10,5

10Ježíš jí odpověděl: „Kdybys znala ten Boží dar ▼▼Sk 8,20

11[Žena] mu řekla: „Pane, nemáš ani vědro a studna je hluboká; ▼▼[studna vyčištěná v této oblasti r. 1935 měřila 4,2m]
odkud tedy máš tu živou vodu? 12Jsi snad větší než náš otec Jákob, který nám tuto studnu dal a pil z ní on sám i jeho synové a jeho dobytek?“ 13Ježíš jí odpověděl: „Každý, kdo pije z této vody, bude opět žíznit. 14Kdo by se však napil z vody, kterou ▼▼ř.: kterého
mu dám já, nebude nikdy ▼▼n.: v tomto věku; ř. eis ton aióna (srv. 6,51; L 1,55; Mt 21,19)
žíznit, ale voda, kterou mu dám, se v něm stane pramenem vody tryskající k věčnému životu.“ ▼▼3,15!
15Ta žena mu řekla: „Pane, dej mi tuto vodu, abych už nežíznila ▼▼6,35
a nemusela sem chodit nabírat.“ 16[Ježíš] jí řekl: „Jdi, zavolej svého muže a přijď sem.“ 17Žena mu odpověděla: „Nemám muže.“ Ježíš jí řekl: „Dobře jsi řekla: 'Nemám muže.' ▼▼1,47n; 2,24; 21,17
18Vždyť jsi měla pět mužů, a ten, kterého máš nyní, není tvůj muž. To jsi řekla pravdu.“ 19Žena mu řekla: „Pane, vidím, že jsi prorok. ▼▼6,14; 7,40; 9,17; Mt 16,14!
20Naši otcové se klaněli ▼▼12,20; Mt 4,10; Sk 8,27; Zj 14,7
Bohu na této hoře, ▼▼[tj. Gerizím (Dt 11,29; žena na ni mohla při rozhovoru ukázat); podle SP zde (nikoliv na Ébalu — Dt 27,4; Joz 8,30) Izraelci postavili oltář. Samařané zde kolem r. 400 př. Kr. postavili chrám, který Židé kolem r. 128 zbořili]
a vy říkáte, že místo, kde je třeba se klanět, je v Jeruzalémě.“ ▼▼9,53
21Ježíš jí řekl: „Věř mi, ženo, že přichází hodina, ▼▼v. 23; 5,25; 16,2.25.32

je ze Židů. 23Ale přichází hodina, a již je zde, kdy praví ctitelé se budou klanět Otci v duchu ▼▼n.: Duch /-u; Fp 3,3

a ti, kteří se mu klanějí, musí se mu klanět v duchu ▼▼n.: Duch /-u; Fp 3,3
a pravdě.“ 25Žena mu řekla: „Vím, ▼▼var.: víme

27Vtom přišli jeho učedníci a divili se, že rozmlouvá se ženou. Nikdo však neřekl: 'Nač se ptáš?' nebo 'Proč s ní mluvíš?' 28Žena tam tedy nechala svůj džbán, odešla ▼▼Mt 28,8
do města a řekla lidem: 29„Pojďte ⌈se podívat⌉ ▼▼ř.: pohleďte
na člověka, který mi řekl všechno, co jsem udělala. Není snad on ten Kristus?“ 30Vyšli z města a šli k němu. 31Mezitím ho učedníci prosili: „Rabbi, ▼▼1,38p
najez se.“ 32On jim však řekl: „Já mám jíst pokrm, který vy neznáte.“ 33Učedníci se mezi sebou ptali: ▼▼ř.: říkali
„Nepřinesl mu někdo něco k jídlu?“ 34Ježíš jim řekl: „Můj pokrm je, abych činil vůli ▼▼5,30; 6,38
toho, který mne poslal, ▼▼od ř. pempó (srv. 3,34p); 5,30.37; 6,38n; 7,16; 8,16; 9,4; 12,49; 13,20; 14,24; 15,21; 16,5; Ř 8,3
a dokonal ▼▼17,4; 19,28
jeho dílo. 35Což neříkáte: 'Ještě čtyři měsíce a přijde ▼▼ř.: přichází

Hle, pravím vám: Pozvedněte své oči a pohleďte na pole, ▼▼n.: krajiny
že se bělají ▼▼ř.: jsou bílá
ke žni. 36Žnec již bere odměnu a shromažďuje úrodu ▼▼n.: ovoce (ř. sg.)
k věčnému životu, ▼▼3,36
aby se společně radovali rozsévač i žnec. 37Neboť v tom je pravdivé přísloví, že jiný rozsévá a jiný žne. 38Já jsem vás poslal žnout to, na čem jste nepracovali. Druzí pracovali ▼▼1,7
a vy jste vstoupili do jejich těžké práce.“ ▼▼1Te 1,3
39Mnoho Samařanů z onoho města v něho uvěřilo pro slovo té ženy, která svědčila: „Řekl mi vše, co jsem udělala.“ ▼▼v. 29
40Když tedy k němu ti Samařané přišli, prosili ho, aby u nich zůstal. I zůstal ▼▼L 19,5
tam dva dny. 41A mnohem více jich uvěřilo pro jeho slovo. 42Té ženě pak říkali: „Teď už věříme ne pro to, co jsi říkala ty, ale sami jsme ho slyšeli a víme, že toto je skutečně Zachránce ▼▼L 2,11!; 1J 4,14
světa, [Kristus].“ 43Uzdravení syna královského úředníka
Po dvou dnech odtamtud odešel do Galileje. 44Neboť Ježíš sám vydal svědectví, že prorok ve své vlasti ▼▼Mk 6,4
nemá vážnost. 45Když tedy přišel do Galileje, Galilejci ▼▼13,2; Mk 14,70; Sk 2,7
ho přijali, protože viděli všechno, co učinil o svátku ▼▼2,23
v Jeruzalémě; neboť i oni přišli na svátek. 46[Ježíš] opět přišel do Kány ▼▼2,1p
Galilejské, kde z vody učinil víno. Byl tam jeden královský úředník, jehož syn ležel nemocen v Kafarnaum. ▼▼2,12
47Když uslyšel, že Ježíš přišel z Judska do Galileje, odešel k němu a prosil [ho], aby přišel ▼▼ř.: sestoupil
a uzdravil jeho syna, neboť již skoro umíral. 48Tu mu Ježíš řekl: „Neuvidíte–li znamení a divy, ▼▼Sk 4,30
jistě neuvěříte.“ 49Královský úředník mu řekl: „Pane, pojď, ▼▼Mk 5,23; ř.: sestup
než mé dítě zemře!“ 50Ježíš mu říká: „Jdi, tvůj syn žije.“ Ten člověk uvěřil ▼▼Mt 8,13
slovu, které mu Ježíš řekl, a šel. 51Ještě byl na cestě dolů, když mu vyšli naproti jeho otroci a řekli, že jeho chlapec ▼▼var.: syn
žije. 52Vyptal se jich tedy na hodinu, ve které mu začalo být lépe. Řekli mu: „Včera v jednu ▼▼ř.: sedmou
hodinu ho opustila horečka.“ ▼▼Mt 8,15
53Tu otec poznal, že se to stalo v tu hodinu, kdy mu Ježíš řekl: 'Tvůj syn žije'. A uvěřil on i celý jeho dům. ▼▼Sk 10,2p; 16,34
54Toto bylo už druhé znamení, ▼▼2,11!
které Ježíš učinil, když přišel z Judska do Galileje.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
