3V nich lehávalo množství nemocných, slepých, chromých a ochrnutých, [kteří čekali na pohyb vody. 4Neboť Pánův anděl občas sestupoval do rybníka a vířil vodu. Kdo po zvíření vody první vstoupil do rybníka, býval uzdraven, ať trpěl kteroukoli nemocí]. 5Byl tam jeden člověk, nemocný již třicet osm let. ▼▼srv. Sk 4,22
6Když ho Ježíš spatřil, jak tam leží, a poznal, že je už dlouhou dobu nemocen, řekl mu: „Chceš ▼▼15,7; Mk 10,51

Ten člověk odešel a oznámil Židům, že tím, kdo ho uzdravil, je Ježíš. 16Proto Židé Ježíše pronásledovali [a usilovali ho zabít], ▼▼7,1.19n.25; 11,53; L 6,11

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
