5Ale oni naléhali a říkali: „Svým učením bouří lid po celém Judsku, začal v Galileji ▼▼4,14; Mk 1,14
a přišel až sem.“ 6Před Herodem
Jakmile to Pilát uslyšel, otázal se, zda ten člověk je Galilejský. ▼▼Mt 26,69p
7A když zjistil, že ⌈podléhá Herodově ▼▼Mt 14,1p
pravomoci⌉, ▼▼ř.: je z Herodovy pravomoci
poslal ho k Herodovi, protože i on byl v těch dnech v Jeruzalémě. 8Když Herodes Ježíše uviděl, velmi se zaradoval; neboť si ho už dlouho přál vidět, ▼▼9,9
protože o něm [mnoho] slyšel, a doufal, že od něho uvidí nějaké znamení. ▼▼11,16
9Kladl mu mnoho otázek, ale on mu na nic neodpověděl. 10Stáli tam velekněží a učitelé Zákona a prudce ho obviňovali. ▼▼11,53
11[I] Herodes jím se svými vojáky pohrdl, vysmál se mu, oblékl ho do nádherného ▼▼Jk 2,2n; ř.: zářivého (Sk 10,30; Zj 15,6; 19,8); [zřejmě královských barev, tj. bílé nebo šarlatové]
roucha a poslal ho zpět k Pilátovi. 12V ten den se Herodes a Pilát ▼▼Sk 4,27
spolu spřátelili; předtím totiž žili ▼▼ř.: byli
ve vzájemném nepřátelství. 13Pilát chce Ježíše propustit
Pilát svolal velekněze, vůdce a lid 14a řekl jim: „Přivedli jste mi tohoto člověka, že ⌈podněcuje lid ke vzpouře⌉, ▼▼ř.: odvádí lid
a hle, když jsem ho před vámi vyslechl, nenalezl jsem na tomto člověku nic, ▼▼ř.: žádný důvod, (pro který …); v. 4
z čeho jej obviňujete. 15Ale ani Herodes ne, neboť ⌈ho poslal zpět k nám⌉. ▼▼var.: jsem vás poslal zpět k němu.
A hle, neučinil nic, za co by zasluhoval smrt. 16Jakmile ho tedy potrestám, propustím ho.“ 17[O svátcích jim totiž musel propouštět jednoho vězně.] 18Ale všichni společně vykřikli: „Odstraň tohoto a propusť nám Barabáše!“ 19Ten byl uvržen do vězení pro jakousi vzpouru, vzniklou ve městě, a pro vraždu. 20Pilát k nim znovu promluvil, neboť chtěl Ježíše propustit. 21Oni však volali: „Ukřižuj, ukřižuj ho!“ 22Řekl jim potřetí: „Co tedy ten člověk udělal zlého? Žádný důvod ▼▼n.: vinu; v. 4.14
pro trest smrti jsem u něj nenalezl. Potrestám ho tedy a propustím.“ 23Oni však naléhali velikým křikem ▼▼ř.: … hlasy
a žádali, aby byl ukřižován; a křik ▼▼ř.: … hlasy
jejich [a velekněží] sílil. 24A tak se Pilát rozhodl ⌈jejich žádosti vyhovět⌉. ▼▼ř.: aby se stala jejich žádost
25Propustil toho, který byl pro vzpouru a vraždu ▼▼Sk 3,14
uvržen do vězení a kterého žádali, Ježíše pak vydal jejich vůli. 26Cesta na popraviště
A když ho odváděli, chytili nějakého Šimona z Kyrény, ▼▼Mt 27,32p
jdoucího z pole, a vložili na něho kříž, aby ho nesl za Ježíšem. 27Za ním šlo veliké množství lidu a žen, které se bily v prsa ▼▼v. 48; Mt 11,17p
a oplakávaly ho. 28Ježíš se k nim obrátil a řekl: „Dcery jeruzalémské, ▼▼srv. Pís 1,5
nade mnou neplačte, spíše plačte nad sebou a nad svými dětmi. 29Neboť hle, přicházejí dny, v nichž budou říkat: 'Blahoslavené ▼▼11,27
jsou neplodné, lůna, která nerodila, a prsy, které nekojily!' ▼▼21,23
30Tehdy začnou 'říkat horám: Padněte na nás, a pahrbkům: Přikryjte nás!' ▼▼Oz 10,8

i jiní: dva zločinci. 33A když přišli na místo, které se nazývá Lebka, ukřižovali tam jeho i ty zločince -- jednoho po pravici a druhého po levici. 34[Ježíš říkal: „Otče, ▼▼v. 46; 22,42; 10,21

35Lid stál a díval se. I vůdci se mu vysmívali ▼▼16,14; Pl 3,14
a říkali: „Jiné zachránil, ▼▼7,3; J 12,47; 2Tm 1,9; Tt 3,5
ať zachrání sebe, je–li ten Kristus Boží, ten Vyvolený.“ ▼▼9,35; Iz 42,1; 1Pt 2,4
36Posmívali se mu i vojáci, kteří přistupovali a přinášeli mu ocet 37a říkali: „Jsi–li ty ten král Židů, zachraň sám sebe.“ 38Byl nad ním i nápis [napsaný řeckými, latinskými ▼▼ř.: římskými
a hebrejskými písmeny]: „Toto je král Židů.“ ▼▼v. 3
39Jeden z pověšených zločinců ho urážel slovy: „Což ty nejsi Kristus? Zachraň sám sebe i nás!“ 40⌈Ale druhý ho napomínal⌉: ▼▼ř.: Odpověděv však druhý, káraje ho řekl:
„To se ani Boha nebojíš? ▼▼18,2; Dt 25,18; Zj 15,4
Vždyť jsi stejně odsouzený. 41A my spravedlivě, neboť dostáváme, co si zasluhujeme za své skutky, ale tento nic zlého ▼▼ř.: nemístného; v. 47
neudělal.“ 42⌈A říkal: „Ježíši, vzpomeň si na mne, až přijdeš do svého království.“⌉ ▼▼var.: A říkal Ježíšovi: „Vzpomeň si na mne, Pane, až přijdeš ve své královské moci [nebo: se svým královstvím].“
43[Ježíš] mu řekl: „Amen, pravím ti, ▼▼4,24

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
