God Shall Scatter His Enemies
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. A Song.
1 aGod shall arise, his enemies shall be bscattered;and those who hate him shall flee before him!
2As csmoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away;
das wax melts before fire,
so the wicked shall perish before God!
3But ethe righteous shall be glad;
they shall exult before God;
they shall be jubilant with joy!
4Sing to God, fsing praises to his name;
glift up a song to him who hrides through ithe deserts;
his name is jthe Lord;
exult before him!
5 kFather of the fatherless and lprotector of widows
is God in his holy habitation.
6God msettles the solitary in a home;
he nleads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but othe rebellious dwell in pa parched land.
7O God, when you qwent out before your people,
rwhen you marched through sthe wilderness, Selah
8 tthe earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain,
before God, the One of Sinai,
before God, the God of Israel.
9 uRain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad;
you restored your inheritance as it languished;

14When the Almighty scatters kings there,

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
