Greeting

1Paul, aan apostle of Christ Jesus bby the will of God,

To the saints who are in Ephesus, and care faithful

2 eGrace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ

3 fBlessed be gthe God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing hin the heavenly places, 4 ieven as he jchose us in him kbefore the foundation of the world, that we should be lholy and blameless before him. In love 5 mhe predestined us

for oadoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, paccording to the purpose of his will,
6 qto the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in rthe Beloved. 7 sIn him we have tredemption uthrough his blood, vthe forgiveness of our trespasses, waccording to the riches of his grace, 8which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 xmaking known

11In him we have obtained aean inheritance, afhaving been predestined agaccording to the purpose of him who works all things according to ahthe counsel of his will, 12so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be aito the praise of his glory. 13In him you also, when you heard ajthe word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, akwere sealed with the alpromised Holy Spirit, 14who is amthe guarantee

Thanksgiving and Prayer

15For this reason, atbecause I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love

16I avdo not cease to give thanks for you, awremembering you in my prayers, 17that axthe God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, aymay give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 azhaving the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is bathe hope to which he has called you, what are bbthe riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, bcaccording to the working of bdhis great might 20that he worked in Christ bewhen he raised him from the dead and bfseated him at his right hand bgin the heavenly places, 21 bhfar above biall rule and authority and power and dominion, and above bjevery name that is named, not only in bkthis age but also in the one to come. 22And blhe put all things under his feet and gave him as bmhead over all things to the church, 23 bnwhich is his body, bothe fullness of him bpwho fills bqall in all.
