ظلم، زحمت و تنهايی
1سپس ظلمهايی را که در زير اين آسمان میشد مشاهده كردم. اشكهای مظلومانی را ديدم كه فريادرسی نداشتند. قدرت در دست ظالمان بود و كسی نبود كه به داد مظلومان برسد. 2پس گفتم كسانی كه قبل از ما مردهاند از آنانی كه هنوز زندهاند خوشبختترند؛ 3و خوشبختتر از همه كسانی هستند كه هنوز به دنيا نيامدهاند، زيرا ظلمهايی را كه زير اين آسمان میشود نديدهاند. 4همچنين متوجه شدم كه به سبب حسادت است كه مردم تلاش میكنند موفقيت كسب كنند. اين نيز مانند دويدن به دنبال باد، بيهوده است. 5كسی كه دست روی دست میگذارد و گرسنگی میكشد، احمق است؛ 6اما كسی هم كه دائم مشغول كار است و تلاش میكند ثروت بيشتری به دست آورد به دنبال باد میدود. بهتر است انسان يک لقمه نان به دست آورد و با آسودگی بخورد. 7و نيز در زير آسمان بيهودگی ديگری ديدم: 8مردی بود كه تنها زندگی میكرد؛ نه پسری داشت و نه برادری. با اين حال سخت تلاش میكرد و از اندوختن مال و ثروت سير نمیشد. او برای چه كسی زحمت میكشيد و خود را از لذات زندگی محروم میكرد؟ اين نيز رنج و زحمت بيهودهای است. 9دو نفر از يک نفر بهترند، زيرا نفع بيشتری از كارشان عايدشان میشود. 10اگر يكی از آنها بيفتد، ديگری او را بلند میكند؛ اما چه بيچاره است شخصی كه میافتد ولی كسی را ندارد كه به او كمک كند. 11وقتی دو نفر كنار هم میخوابند، گرم میشوند؛ اما كسی كه تنهاست چطور میتواند خود را گرم كند؟ 12اگر شخص، تنها باشد و كسی بر او حمله كند، از پای درمیآيد، اما اگر دو نفر باشند میتوانند از خود دفاع كنند. ريسمان سه لا به آسانی پاره نمیشود.بيهودگی ترقی
13يک جوان فقير و حكيم بهتر از پادشاه پير و نادانی است كه نصيحت نمیپذيرد. 14چنين جوان فقيری حتی ممكن است از كنج زندان به تخت پادشاهی برسد. 15مردمی كه زير اين آسمان زندگی میكنند از چنين جوانی كه جانشين پادشاه شده است حمايت مینمايند. 16او میتواند بر عدهٔ زيادی حكومت كند؛ اما نسل بعدی، او را نيز بركنار میكند! اين نيز مانند دويدن به دنبال باد، بيهوده است.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
