Seitsemäntenä päivänä kulkekaa kaupungin ympäri seitsemän kertaa, ja papit puhaltakoot pasunoihin. 5Ja kun pitkä oinaansarven puhallus kuuluu, kun kuulette pasunan äänen, niin nostakoon koko kansa kovan sotahuudon; silloin kaupungin muuri kukistuu siihen paikkaansa, ja kansa voi rynnätä sinne ylös, kukin suoraan eteensä." 6Silloin Joosua, Nuunin poika, kutsui papit ja sanoi heille: "Ottakaa liitonarkki, ja seitsemän pappia kantakoon seitsemää oinaansarvista pasunaa Herran arkin edellä". 7Sitten hän sanoi kansalle: "Lähtekää ja kulkekaa kaupungin ympäri, ja aseväki käyköön Herran arkin edellä". 8Ja tapahtui, niinkuin Joosua oli kansalle sanonut. When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
