Menkää ennemmin myyjäin luo ostamaan itsellenne.' 10Mutta heidän lähdettyään ostamaan ylkä tuli; ja ne, jotka olivat valmiit, menivät hänen kanssansa häihin, ja ovi suljettiin. 11Ja myöhemmin toisetkin neitsyet tulivat ja sanoivat: 'Herra, Herra, avaa meille!' 12Mutta hän vastasi ja sanoi: 'Totisesti minä sanon teille: minä en tunne teitä'. 13Valvokaa siis, sillä ette tiedä päivää ettekä hetkeä. 14Sillä tapahtuu, niinkuin tapahtui, kun mies matkusti muille maille: hän kutsui palvelijansa ja uskoi heille omaisuutensa; 15yhdelle hän antoi viisi leiviskää, toiselle kaksi ja kolmannelle yhden, kullekin hänen kykynsä mukaan, ja lähti muille maille. 16Se, joka oli saanut viisi leiviskää, meni kohta ja asioitsi niillä ja voitti toiset viisi leiviskää. 17Samoin kaksi leiviskää saanut voitti toiset kaksi. 18Mutta yhden leiviskän saanut meni pois ja kaivoi kuopan maahan ja kätki siihen herransa rahan. 19Pitkän ajan kuluttua näiden palvelijain herra palasi ja ryhtyi tilintekoon heidän kanssansa. 20Silloin tuli se, joka oli saanut viisi leiviskää, ja toi toiset viisi leiviskää ja sanoi: 'Herra, viisi leiviskää sinä minulle uskoit, katso, toiset viisi leiviskää minä olen voittanut'. 21Hänen herransa sanoi hänelle: 'Hyvä on, sinä hyvä ja uskollinen palvelija. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
