1Und Er sprach zu ihnen: Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Es sind etliche von denen, die hier stehen, die den Tod nicht schmecken werden, bis daß sie das Reich Gottes in Kraft kommen sehen. 2Und nach sechs Tagen nahm Jesus Petrus, Jakobus und Johannes mit Sich und führte sie hinauf auf einen hohen Berg besonders alleine und verwandelte Sich vor ihnen. 3Und Seine Kleider wurden glänzend, ungemein weiß, wie der Schnee, daß sie kein Walker auf Erden kann so weiß machen. 4Und es erschien ihnen Elias mit Moses, und sie unterredeten sich mit Jesus. 5Und Petrus antwortete und sprach zu Jesus: Rabbi, hier ist gut ▼▼schön
sein für uns. Und lasset uns drei Hütten machen, Dir eine, Moses eine und Elias eine. 6Denn er wußte nicht, was er redete; denn sie waren außer sich vor Furcht. 7Und es ward eine Wolke, die überschattete sie, und aus der Wolke kam eine Stimme, die sprach: Dies ist Mein geliebter Sohn, Den höret! 8Und plötzlich, da sie um sich blickten, sahen sie niemand mehr, sondern allein Jesus bei ihnen. 9Da sie aber vom Berge herabstiegen, verbot Er ihnen, jemand zu erzählen, was sie gesehen hatten, bis daß des Menschen Sohn von den Toten auferstanden wäre. 10Und sie behielten ▼▼ergriffen
das Wort für sich und befragten sich, was dieses Auferstehen von den Toten sei. 11Und sie fragten Ihn und sagten: Die Schriftgelehrten sagen, Elias müsse zuvor kommen. 12Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Elias kommt zwar zuerst und stellt alles her. Und wie ist es geschrieben von des Menschen Sohn? - daß Er viel leiden und für nichts geachtet werden soll. 13Aber Ich sage euch: Elias ist auch gekommen, und sie haben ihm getan, was sie wollten, wie von ihm geschrieben steht. 14Und als Er zu Seinen Jüngern kam, sah Er viel Gedränge um sie her und Schriftgelehrte, die sich mit ihnen befragten. 15Und alsbald, da all das Gedränge Ihn sah, wurde ihnen bange, und sie liefen herbei und begrüßten Ihn. 16Und Er fragte die Schriftgelehrten: Worüber befragt ihr euch mit ihnen? 17Und einer aus dem Gedränge antwortete und sprach: Lehrer, ich habe meinen Sohn zu Dir hergebracht, der hat einen sprachlosen Geist. 18Und wo er ihn übernimmt, reißt ▼▼bricht
er ihn, und er schäumt und knirscht mit den Zähnen und zehret ab. Und ich sprach mit Deinen Jüngern, daß sie ihn austrieben, und sie vermochten es nicht. 19Er aber antwortete ihm und sprach: O du ungläubig Geschlecht, wie lange ▼▼bis wann
soll Ich bei euch sein? Wie lange ▼▼bis wann
soll Ich euch ertragen? Bringt ihn her zu Mir! 20Und sie brachten ihn zu Ihm. Und als er Ihn sah, zerrte der Geist ihn alsbald, und er fiel zu Erde, wälzte sich und schäumte. 21Und Er fragte seinen Vater: Wie lange Zeit ist es, daß das mit ihm geworden? Er aber sprach: Von Kind auf. 22Und oft hat er ihn ins Feuer und ins Wasser geworfen, daß er ihn umbrächte. Wenn Du aber kannst, so hilf uns und erbarme Dich unser ▼▼laß es Dich jammern
. 23Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Wenn du glauben könntest! Alle Dinge sind möglich für den, der da glaubt! 24Und alsbald schrie der Vater des Knäbleins mit Tränen und sprach: Ich glaube, Herr, hilf meinem Unglauben! 25Da aber Jesus sah, daß das Gedränge zusammenlief, bedrohte Er den unreinen Geist und sprach zu ihm: Du sprachloser und tauber Geist, Ich befehle ▼▼verordne
dir, gehe aus von ihm, und geh nimmer in ihn ein! 26Und er schrie und zerrte ihn sehr ▼▼viel
und ging aus. Und er ward wie tot, so daß viele sagten: Er ist gestorben! 27Jesus aber ergriff ihn bei der Hand und richtete ▼▼weckte
ihn auf; und er stand auf. 28Und als Er ins Haus einging, fragten Ihn Seine Jünger besonders: Warum konnten wir ihn nicht austreiben? 29Und Er sprach zu ihnen: Diese Art ▼▼Gattung
kann nicht anders als durch Gebet und Fasten ausgehen. 30Und von dannen gingen sie aus und zogen hin durch Galiläa, und Er wollte nicht, daß es jemand wisse. 31Denn Er belehrte Seine Jünger und sagte ihnen: Des Menschen Sohn wird in der Menschen Hände überantwortet werden, und sie werden Ihn töten, und nachdem Er getötet worden, wird Er am dritten Tage auferstehen. 32Sie aber verstanden ▼▼vernahmen
die Rede nicht und fürchteten sich, Ihn zu fragen. 33Und Er kam nach Kapernaum; und als Er zu Hause war, fragte Er sie: Worüber besprachet ihr euch miteinander auf dem Wege? 34Sie aber schwiegen stille; denn sie hatten auf dem Wege unter sich besprochen, welcher der Größte wäre. 35Und Er setzte Sich, rief die Zwölfe und sprach zu ihnen: So einer will der Erste sein, der soll der Letzte von allen und aller Diener sein. 36Und Er nahm ein Kindlein, stellte es mitten unter sie, und schloß es in Seine Arme und sprach zu ihnen: 37Wer eines dieser Kindlein aufnimmt in Meinem Namen, der nimmt Mich auf, und wer Mich aufnimmt, der nimmt nicht Mich auf, sondern Den, Der Mich gesandt hat. 38Johannes aber antwortete Ihm und sprach: Lehrer, wir sahen einen, der trieb in Deinem Namen Dämonen aus, der uns nicht nachfolgt, und wir wehrten es ihm, darum daß er uns nicht nachfolgt. 39Jesus aber sprach: Wehret ihm nicht; denn es ist keiner, der in Meinem Namen Wundertaten ▼▼Kräfte
tut, und wird bald Böses von Mir sprechen. 40Denn wer nicht wider uns ist, der ist für uns. 41Denn wer euch tränket mit einem Kelche Wasser in Meinem Namen, weil ihr des Christus seid, wahrlich, Ich sage euch, er wird seinen Lohn nicht verlieren. 42Wer aber einem der Kleinen, die an Mich glauben, Ärgernis gibt, dem wäre besser ▼▼schöner
, daß ihm ein Mühlstein um seinen Hals umgehängt und er ins Meer geworfen würde. 43Und so dich deine Hand ärgert, so haue sie ab. Es ist dir besser ▼▼schöner
, daß du ein Krüppel zum Leben eingehest, denn daß du zwei Hände habest und in die Hölle ▼▼Gehenna
ins unauslöschliche Feuer weggehest. 44Wo ihr Wurm nicht stirbt ▼▼endet
und das Feuer nicht erlischt. 45Und ärgert dich dein Fuß, so haue ihn ab. Es ist dir besser ▼▼schöner
, daß du lahm zum Leben eingehest, denn daß du zwei Füße habest, und werdest in die Hölle ▼▼Gehenna
ins unauslöschliche Feuer geworfen, 46Wo ihr Wurm nicht stirbt ▼▼endet

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
