1Bet tanī dienā notika liela Jeruzalemes baznīcas vajāšana; un visi, izņemot apustuļus, tika izklīdināti Jūdejas un Samarijas apvidos. 2Tad dievbijīgie vīri apbedīja Stefanu un ļoti viņu apraudāja. 3Bet Sauls postīja Baznīcu, iedams namos, tverot vīriešus un sievietes un nododot tos cietumā. 4Bet izklīdinātie staigāja apkārt, sludinādami Dieva vārdu. 5Tad Filips nogāja Samarijas pilsētā un sludināja tiem Kristu. 6Bet ļaudis uzmanīgi un vienprātīgi klausījās, ko Filips runāja, un redzēja zīmes, ko viņš darīja. 7Jo no daudziem, kas bija ļauno garu apsēsti, tie izgāja, stiprā balsī kliegdami; bet daudzi triekas skartie un tizlie tika izdziedināti. 8Un liels prieks bija tanī pilsētā. 9Bet kāds vīrs, vārdā Sīmanis, kas agrāk pilsētā bija burvis, krāpa Samarijas ļaudis, sacīdams, ka viņš esot kas liels. 10Viņu ievēroja visi: no maza līdz lielam, sacīdami: Šis ir tā sauktais lielais Dieva spēks. 11Bet viņi tāpēc to ievēroja, ka tas ilgu laiku ar savām burvībām tos bija apmulsinājis. 12Bet kad tie noticēja Filipam, kas sludināja Dieva valstību, vīrieši un sievietes tika kristīti Jēzus Kristus vārdā. 13Tad arī pats Sīmanis kļuva ticīgs un, pieņēmis kristību, piebiedrojās Filipam, bet viņš, redzēdams notiekam zīmes un lielus brīnumus, apmulsis brīnījās. 14Kad apustuļi, kas bija Jeruzalemē, izdzirda, ka Samarija pieņēmusi Dieva vārdu, tie sūtīja pie viņiem Pēteri un Jāni. 15Tie atnākuši lūdza Dievu par viņiem, lai tie saņemtu Svēto Garu. 16Jo Tas vēl ne pār vienu no viņiem nebija nācis, bet viņi bija kristīti tikai Kunga Jēzus vārdā. 17Tad viņi uzlika tiem rokas, un tie saņēma Svēto Garu. 18Bet Sīmanis, redzēdams, ka caur apustuļu roku uzlikšanu tiek dots Svētais Gars, piedāvāja tiem naudu, 19Sacīdams: Dodiet arī man šo varu, lai ikviens, kam es uzlikšu rokas, saņemtu Svēto Garu! Bet Pēteris sacīja viņam: 20Tava nauda lai iet ar tevi pazušanā, jo tu domāji Dieva dāvanu par naudu iemantot! 21Tev nav ne daļas, nedz mantojuma no šīs mācības, jo tava sirds nav taisnīga Dieva priekšā. 22Tāpēc atgriezies no šī sava ļaunuma un lūdz Dievu! Varbūt šī tavas sirds iedoma tiks tev piedota. 23Kā es redzu, tu esi žults rūgtuma pilns un netaisnības saitēs. 24Bet Sīmanis atbildēja, sacīdams: Lūdziet jūs Kungu par mani, lai nekas no tā, ko jūs sacījāt, nenāk pār mani! 25Tad viņi, Dieva vārdu apliecinājuši un pavēstījuši, griezās atpakaļ uz Jeruzalemi un vēl daudziem Samarijas apgabaliem sludināja evaņģēliju. 26Tad Kunga eņģelis sacīja Filipam: Celies un ej uz dienvidiem pa ceļu, kas ved no Jeruzalemes uz Gazu, kas ir tuksnešains! 27Viņš cēlās un aizgāja. Un, lūk, kāds vīrs no Etiopijas, einuhs, Etiopijas ķēniņienes Kandakes pilnvarnieks, kas pārvaldīja visas viņas mantnīcas, bija ieradies Jeruzalemē pielūgt Dievu. 28Un atceļā, sēdēdams savos ratos, viņš lasīja pravieti Isaju. 29Tad Gars sacīja Filipam: Ej un piebiedrojies šiem ratiem! 30Filips piesteidzies un izdzirdis viņu lasām pravieti Isaju, sacīja: Vai tu domā, ka saproti, ko tu lasi? 31Viņš sacīja: Kā lai es to varu, ja man neviens nepaskaidro? Un viņš lūdza Filipu iekāpt un apsēsties pie viņa. 32Bet Rakstu vieta, ko viņš lasīja, bija šī: It kā avs, ko veda nokaušanai, un kā jērs kluss cirpēja priekšā, tā Viņš neatvēra savu muti. 33Viņa pazemošanai tiesa tika atcelta. Kas izstāstīs Viņa cilti, jo Viņa dzīvība tiek paņemta no šīs zemes? a 34Tad einuhs jautāja Filipam, sacīdams: Es tevi lūdzu, par ko pravietis to saka? Par sevi vai par kādu citu? 35Bet Filips, atdarījis savu muti, un iesākdams ar šiem Rakstiem, sludināja viņam Jēzu. 36Un viņi, ceļu turpinādami, nokļuva pie kāda ūdens; un einuhs sacīja: Lūk, ūdens! Kas mani kavē kristīties? 37Filips sacīja: Ja tu no visas sirds tici, tad to var. Un viņš atbildēja, sacīdams: Es ticu, ka Jēzus Kristus ir Dieva Dēls. 38Un viņš pavēlēja apturēt ratus, un viņi abi, Filips un einuhs, iekāpa ūdenī, un viņš to kristīja. 39Kad viņi izkāpa no ūdens, tā Kunga Gars aizrāva Filipu, un einuhs viņu vairs neredzēja, bet līksms turpināja ceļu. 40Bet Filips tika atrasts Azotā un, evaņģēliju sludinādams, pārstaigāja visas pilsētas, kamēr nonāca Cēzarejā.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
