Ezekiel 44
De buitenmuur van deze vertrekken was 2,25 meter dik en tussen de muur 1en de andere vertrekken, iets lager in de binnenste voorhof, bevond zich een strook van 9 meter die helemaal rond de tempel liep. 2Twee deuren leidden vanaf de verdiepingen naar de vrije ruimte van het terras van 2,25 meter. De ene deur aan de noordkant, de andere aan de zuidkant. 3Aan de westkant stond een groot gebouw dat uitkeek over het tempelplein. Het was 31,50 meter breed en 40,50 meter lang. De muren van dit gebouw waren 2,25 meter dik. 4Hierna mat hij de tempel en de haar omringende ruimtes op. Een menselijk gezicht keek naar de palmboom aan de ene kant en het andere gezicht—dat van een leeuw—keek naar de palmboom aan de andere kant. Zo was de hele binnenmuur van de tempel versierd met cherubs en palmbomen. 12De deuren van de centrale ruimte hadden vierkante deurposten en voor het Heilige der Heiligen stond iets dat op een altaar leek, 13maar het was gemaakt van hout. Dit altaar was 90 centimeter in het vierkant en 1,35 meter hoog, de hoeken, het voetstuk en de zijkanten waren van hout. ‘Dit,’ vertelde hij mij, ‘is de tafel die voor de Here staat.’ 14Zowel de centrale ruimte als het Heilige der Heiligen hadden dubbele deuren, 15elk met twee openklappende helften. 16De deuren die naar de centrale ruimte leidden, waren versierd met cherubs en palmbomen, net als de muren. In de hal was een houten overkapping aangebracht. 17De muren van de hal waren ook voorzien van versieringen met engelen en palmbomen en ook de vertrekken aan de buitenkant hadden een houten overkapping. 18 De noordelijke en zuidelijke verdiepingen
19Toen leidde hij mij de tempel uit, terug naar de buitenste voorhof en de vertrekken aan de noordzijde van het tempelplein. 20Dit bouwwerk was 45 meter lang en half zo breed (22,50 meter). 21De rij vertrekken achter dit gebouw vormden de binnenmuur van de voorhof. De vertrekken waren verdeeld over drie verdiepingen, aan de ene kant uitkijkend op de buitenste voorhof, aan de andere kant op een 9 meter brede strook van de binnenste voorhof. 22Tussen de vertrekken en het gebouw liep over de hele lengte een gang van 4,50 meter breed en 45 meter lang, waarvan de uitgangen op het noorden uitkwamen. 23De bovenste twee verdiepingen met vertrekken waren niet zo breed als de onderste, omdat de bovenste verdiepingen bredere galerijen hadden. 24En omdat dit gebouw niet werd ondersteund door balken, zoals het gebouw in de buitenste voorhof, weken de twee bovenste verdiepingen iets achteruit ten opzichte van de onderste verdieping. 25 ▼▼ This verse is empty because in this translation its contents have been moved to form part of verse Ez. 42:8.

De noordelijke verdiepingen, het dichtst bij de buitenste voorhof, waren 22,50 meter lang, slechts half zo lang als de binnenste vleugel die op het tempelplein uitkeek en 45 meter lang was. Onder de vertrekken was een ingang aan de oostzijde vanaf de buitenste voorhof. Tegenover de tempel, aan de zuidkant van de binnenste voorhof, stond eenzelfde gebouw als dit, samengesteld uit twee kleinere gebouwen met verdiepingen. 29Tussen de twee vleugels van dit gebouw lag een pad, net als bij het andere gebouw aan de overzijde van de voorhof. Het had kamers van dezelfde lengte en breedte en dezelfde uitgangen en deuren. 30En aan de oostkant was een ingang vanaf de buitenste voorhof. 31Toen vertelde hij mij: ‘Deze noordelijke en zuidelijke verdiepingen met vertrekken die op het tempelplein uitkijken, zijn heilig. Daar zullen de priesters die de offers aan de Here brengen, van de allerheiligste offers eten en de spijsoffers, zondoffers en schuldoffers opslaan, want deze vertrekken zijn heilig.

It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
