داوود پادشاه اسرائيل می‌شود
(دوم سموئيل 5:1-10)
1رهبران اسرائيل به حبرون نزد داوود رفتند و به او گفتند: «ما گوشت و استخوان تو هستيم؛ 2حتی زمانی كه شائول پادشاه بود، سپاهيان ما را تو به جنگ می‌بردی و به سلامت بر می‌گرداندی؛ و خداوند، خدايت فرموده است كه تو بايد شبان و رهبر قوم او باشی.» 3پس در حبرون داوود در حضور خداوند با رهبران اسرائيل عهد بست و ايشان همانطور كه خداوند به سموئيل فرموده بود، او را به عنوان پادشاه اسرائيل انتخاب كردند. 4سپس داوود و آن رهبران به اورشليم كه محل سكونت يبوسی‌ها بود و يبوس نيز ناميده می‌شد، رفتند. 5ولی اهالی يبوس از ورود آنها به شهر جلوگيری كردند. پس داوود قلعهٔ صهيون را كه بعد به «شهر داوود» معروف شد، تسخير كرد 6و به افراد خود گفت: «اولين كسی كه به يبوسی‌ها حمله كند، فرماندهٔ سپاه خواهد شد.» يوآب پسر صرويه اولين كسی بود كه به يبوسی‌ها حمله كرد؛ پس مقام فرماندهی سپاه داوود به او داده شد. 7داوود در آن قلعه ساكن شد و به همين جهت آن قسمت از شهر اورشليم را شهر داوود ناميدند. 8داوود بخش قديمی شهر را كه اطراف قلعه بود به سمت بيرون وسعت داد و يوآب بقيهٔ شهر اورشليم را تعمير كرد. 9به اين ترتيب روز‌به‌روز بر قدرت و نفوذ داوود افزوده می‌شد، زيرا خداوند، خدای قادر متعال با او بود.سربازان شجاع داوود

10اين است اسامی سربازان شجاع داوود كه همراه قوم اسرائيل او را مطابق كلام خداوند، پادشاه خود ساختند و سلطنت او را استوار نمودند: 11يشبعام (مردی از اهالی حكمون) فرماندهٔ افسران شجاع داوود پادشاه بود. او يكبار با نيزه خود سيصد نفر را كشت. 12العازار پسر دودو، از خاندان اخوخ در رتبهٔ دوم قرار داشت. 13او در جنگی كه با فلسطينی‌ها در فَسدَميم درگرفت، داوود را همراهی می‌كرد. در محلی كه مزرعهٔ جو بود، سپاه اسرائيل در برابر فلسطينی‌ها تاب نياوردند و پا به فرار گذاشتند، 14ولی العازار و افرادش در آن مزرعهٔ جو در برابر فلسطينی‌ها ايستادگی كردند و آنها را شكست دادند و خداوند پيروزی بزرگی نصيب ايشان نمود. 15در حالی كه عده‌ای از فلسطينی‌ها در درهٔ رفائيم اردو زده بودند، سه نفر از سی سردار شجاع داوود پيش او كه در غار عدولام پنهان شده بود، رفتند. 16داوود در پناهگاه خود بود و اردوی فلسطينی‌ها در بيت‌لحم مستقر شده بود. 17در اين هنگام داوود گفت: «چقدر دلم می‌خواهد از آب چاهی كه نزديک دروازهٔ بيت‌لحم است بنوشم!» 18پس آن سه سردار قلب اردوی فلسطينی‌ها را شكافته، از آن گذشتند و از آن چاه آب كشيدند و برای داوود آوردند. ولی داوود آن آب را ننوشيد، بلكه آن را چون هديه به حضور خداوند ريخت 19و گفت: «نه ای خدا، من اين آب را نمی‌نوشم! اين آب، خون اين سه نفر است كه برای آوردنش جان خود را به خطر انداختند.» 20ابيشای برادر يوآب، فرماندهٔ آن سه نفر بود. او يكبار با كشتن سيصد نفر با نيزهٔ خود، مانند آن سه نفر معروف شد. 21هر چند ابيشای رئيس آن سه دلاور و معروفتر از ايشان بود، ولی جزو آن سه نفر محسوب نمی‌شد. 22بنايا پسر يهوياداع اهل قبصئيل، سرباز معروفی بود و كارهای متهورانه انجام می‌داد. بنايا دو سردار معروف موآبی را كشت. او همچنين در يک روز برفی به حفره‌ای داخل شد و شيری را كشت. 23يكبار با يک چوبدستی يک جنگجوی مصری را كه قدش دو متر و نيم و نيزه‌اش به كلفتی چوب نساجان بود، از پای درآورد. آن مصری نيزه‌ای در دست داشت و بنايا نيزه را از دست او ربود و وی را با آن نيزه كشت. 24اين بود كارهای بنايا كه او را مانند سه سردار ارشد معروف ساخت. 25او از آن سی نفر معروفتر بود ولی جزو سه سردار ارشد محسوب نمی‌شد. داوود او را به فرماندهی گارد سلطنتی گماشت. 26 ▼▼ This verse is empty because in this translation its contents have been moved to form part of verse 1تواريخ 11:47.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
