Reorganizarea slujirii preoților și a leviților
(2 Regi 18:4)
1Când toate acestea s-au încheiat, tot Israelul prezent a plecat spre cetățile lui Iuda. Ei au zdrobit stâlpii sacri și au tăiat așerele, au dărâmat înălțimile și altarele din tot Iuda, Beniamin, Efraim și Manase și nu s-au lăsat până nu le-au distrus pe toate. Apoi toți fiii lui Israel s-au întors în cetățile lor, fiecare la proprietatea lui.2Ezechia a așezat din nou pe grupuri cetele preoților și ale leviților, fiecare om având slujba sa de preot sau de levit: erau responsabili cu arderea-de-tot, cu jertfele de pace, cu slujirea, sau cu mulțumirea și cântarea de laudă la porțile taberelor Domnului. 3Regele a dăruit o parte din bunurile sale pentru arderile-de-tot, adică pentru arderile-de-tot de dimineață și de seară, pentru arderile-de-tot aduse cu ocazia Sabatului, în fiecare lună nouă și cu ocazia sărbătorilor, așa cum este scris în Legea Domnului. 4El a spus poporului, locuitorilor Ierusalimului, să dea preoților și leviților partea cuvenită lor, pentru ca aceștia să se poată dedica Legii Domnului. 5Când s-a răspândit vestea aceasta, fiii lui Israel și-au înmulțit darurile din primele roade – din grâne, din must, din ulei, din miere și din toate roadele câmpului. Au adus zeciuială din belșug din tot ce aveau. 6Fiii lui Israel și ai lui Iuda, care locuiau în cetățile lui Iuda, au dat și ei zeciuială din cirezi și din turme, precum și zeciuială din lucrurile sfinte care erau închinate Domnului, Dumnezeul lor. Ei le-au adus și le-au așezat în mai multe grămezi. 7Au început să facă grămezi în luna a treia și au terminat în luna a șaptea. 8Când au sosit Ezechia și căpeteniile și au văzut grămezile, au binecuvântat pe Domnul și pe poporul Său Israel.
9Ezechia i-a întrebat pe preoți și pe leviți cu privire la grămezile strânse. 10Azaria, preotul conducător, din familia lui Țadok, i-a răspuns, zicând: „De când a început să vină la Casa Domnului contribuția, am mâncat, ne-am săturat și a mai rămas încă mult, pentru că Domnul Și-a binecuvântat poporul, astfel încât a mai rămas din plin“.
11Ezechia le-a poruncit să pregătească niște camere în Casa Domnului, iar ei le-au pregătit. 12Au adus acolo cu credincioșie contribuția, zeciuiala și lucrurile sfinte. Conducătorul responsabil cu acestea era levitul Conania, iar fratele lui, Șimei, era al doilea după el. 13Iehiel, Azazia, Nahat, Asael, Ierimot, Iozabad, Eliel, Ismachia, Mahat și Benaia erau supraveghetori sub conducerea lui Conania și a lui Șimei, fratele său, numiți de către regele Ezechia și de către Azaria, cel ce era conducător al Casei lui Dumnezeu.
14Levitul Kore, fiul lui Imna, portarul din partea de est, era responsabil cu darurile de bunăvoie aduse lui Dumnezeu, cu împărțirea contribuției aduse Domnului, precum și cu lucrurile preasfinte. 15În cetățile preoților, sub conducerea lui Kore erau Eden, Miniamin, Iosua, Șemaia, Amaria și Șecania. Aceștia împărțeau cu credincioșie partea cuvenită fraților lor, potrivit cetelor lor, fie mari, fie mici, 16precum și celor înscriși în genealogii – băieții de la vârsta de trei ani în sus – tuturor celor ce veneau zilnic la Casa Domnului pentru slujbele de care erau responsabili, potrivit cetelor lor, 17preoților înscriși în genealogii, potrivit familiilor lor și leviților de la vârsta de douăzeci de ani în sus, conform responsabilităților lor, potrivit cetelor lor, 18adică întregii adunări a celor înscriși în genealogii cu toți copilașii lor, cu soțiile lor, cu fiii și fiicele lor. Căci ei fuseseră credincioși în a se păstra sfinți.
19Pentru urmașii lui Aaron, preoții, care locuiau în zonele cu pășuni din apropierea fiecărei cetăți preoțești, au fost desemnați oameni care să dea partea cuvenită tuturor persoanelor de parte bărbătească aflate sub îndrumarea preoților și tuturor acelora dintre leviții înscriși în genealogii.
20Așa a făcut Ezechia în tot teritoriul lui Iuda; el a făcut ce este bine, drept și adevărat înaintea Domnului, Dumnezeul său. 21Toată lucrarea pe care a început-o cu privire la slujirea de la Casa lui Dumnezeu și cu privire la Lege sau la porunci, ca să-L caute pe Dumnezeul său, a înfăptuit-o din toată inima și, astfel, planurile i-au reușit.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
