Tablele noi ale Legii
(Ex. 34:1-9)
1În vremea aceea, Domnul mi-a zis: «Cioplește-ți două table de piatră, asemenea celor dintâi, și urcă-te la Mine pe munte. Să faci și un Chivot de lemn. 2Eu voi scrie pe table cuvintele care erau pe cele dintâi, pe care le-ai spart. Apoi, să le pui în Chivot».3Am făcut un Chivot din lemn de salcâm, am cioplit două table de piatră, asemenea celor dintâi, și am urcat pe munte, având în mână cele două table. 4Domnul a scris pe table ceea ce fusese scris pe primele, Cele Zece Porunci, pe care vi le spusese Domnul pe munte, din mijlocul focului, în ziua adunării. Și Domnul mi le-a dat mie. 5Apoi, m-am întors, coborând de pe munte, și am așezat tablele în Chivotul pe care l-am făcut, după porunca Domnului, și acolo au și rămas.

Aceste lucruri le-au făcut până în ziua aceasta. 9De aceea Levi nu are niciun teritoriu și nicio moștenire împreună cu frații săi. Domnul este moștenirea lui, după cum Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, le-a vorbit.) 10Am rămas pe munte timp de patruzeci de zile și patruzeci de nopți, ca și mai înainte, iar Domnul m-a ascultat și de data aceasta. Domnul n-a mai dorit să vă distrugă. 11După aceea, Domnul mi-a zis: «Ridică-te și pornește în călătorie în fruntea poporului, ca să intre și să ia în stăpânire țara pe care am promis strămoșilor lor că le-o voi da».

12Acum, Israel, ce altceva cere Domnul Dumnezeul tău de la tine decât să te temi de Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, să umbli pe toate căile Lui, să-L iubești și să-L slujești pe Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, din toată inima ta și din tot sufletul tău 13și să păzești poruncile Domnului și hotărârile Lui, pe care eu ți le dau astăzi spre binele tău?14Iată, ale Domnului, Dumnezeul tău, sunt cerurile și cerurile cerurilor, pământul și tot ce este pe el. 15Totuși, Domnul S-a atașat doar de strămoșii tăi, iubindu-i, și v-a ales pe voi, urmașii lor, dintre toate popoarele, așa cum se vede în ziua de azi. 16De aceea, circumcideți-vă în inima voastră și nu mai fiți încăpățânați. 17Căci Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, este Dumnezeul dumnezeilor și Stăpânul stăpânilor, ▼

Dumnezeul cel mare, puternic și de temut, Care nu ține partea nimănui și nu primește mită, 18Care face dreptate orfanului și văduvei și-l iubește pe străin, dându-i hrană și îmbrăcăminte. 19Să-l iubiți pe străin, pentru că și voi ați fost străini în țara Egiptului. 20Să te temi de Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, și să-I slujești. De El să te alipești și în Numele Lui să juri. 21El este lauda ta. El este Dumnezeul tău Care a făcut pentru tine aceste lucruri mari și de temut, pe care le-au văzut ochii tăi. 22Strămoșii tăi s-au dus în Egipt în număr de șaptezeci de suflete, dar acum Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, a făcut din tine o mulțime cât stelele cerurilor.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
