1Ljubljeni otroci! Vse to vam pripovedujem, da bi se izogibali greha. Če pa se pregrešite, imate nekoga, ki je sam brez greha in pred Očetom zastopa nas, grešnike: Jezusa Kristusa, Pravičnega. 2Kristus je ta, ki je vzel nase Božjo jezo zaradi naših grehov in nas privedel k Bogu; on je odpuščanje za naše grehe, pa ne samo za naše, trpel je za grehe vsega sveta. 3Kako lahko zagotovo vemo, da pripadamo njemu? Vsekakor tako, da se držimo njegove zapovedi. Ali res poskušamo delati to, kar on želi, da bi delali? 4Nekdo morda pravi: “Jaz sem kristjan. Sem na poti v nebo. Pripadam Kristusu.” Toda če ne dela tega, kar Jezus želi, da bi delal, je lažnivec in v njem ni resnice. 5Kdor pa se drži njegove besede in živi po njej, v njem se kaže vsa božanska ljubezen. Po tem lahko spoznamo, če smo res kristjani. ▼▼V izvirniku: Po tem vemo, da smo v njem.
6Kdor trdi zase, da pripada Kristusu, naj tudi tako živi, kot je živel Kristus. 7Kar vam zdaj pišem, dragi moji, ni novo za vas. To ni neka nova zapoved, ampak Božje sporočilo, ki ste ga slišali že od začetka. 8Toda kljub temu je ta zapoved nova in deluje tako v vas kot je delovala v Kristusu; medtem ko izpolnjujemo to zapoved, da se ljubimo med seboj, zapušča tema naša življenja in prava luč začenja svetiti. 9Vsak lahko trdi, da živi v tej luči. Toda tisti, ki sovraži brata, s tem dokazuje, da je še vedno v temi. 10Samo kdor ljubi svojega bližnjega, živi resnično v luči in vidi kje hodi ter se mu ni treba spotikati v temi in v grehu. 11Kdor pa sovraži svojega bližnjega, živi v duhovni temi in ne ve, kje hodi, kajti tema ga je oslepila, tako da ne vidi poti.
12Pišem vsem vam, moji ljubljeni otroci, kajti v imenu Jezusa Kristusa, našega Rešitelja, so vam odpuščeni vsi grehi. 13To pišem vam, očetje, ker poznate njega, ki je od začetka. Pišem vam, mladi, ker ste premagali hudobnega. Pišem vam, dragi otroci, ker ste spoznali Očeta.
Ne ljubite sveta
14Vam pišem, očetje, ker ste spoznali njega, ki je od začetka. Pišem vam, mladi, ker ste močni in Božja beseda živi v vas ter ste premagali hudobnega. 15Prenehajte ljubiti ta hudobni svet in vse, kar vam nudi. Kdor namreč ljubi svet, kaže, da ne ljubi resnično Boga. 16Kaj pa je bistvo tega sveta? Človeške strasti, želja po bogastvu in oblasti ter ponos in samouveljavljanje. Vse to ne prihaja od Boga, našega Očeta, ampak pripada svetu. 17Svet z vsemi svojimi željami pa bo izginil. Samo tisti, ki izpolnjuje Božjo voljo, bo ostal in večno živel.18Dragi otroci, temu svetu bije zadnja ura. Slišali ste, da prihaja Antikrist. Mnogi taki so že prišli. Po tem lahko spoznamo, da gre svet k svojemu koncu. 19Oni prihajajo iz naših vrst, v resnici pa nikoli niso bili naši. Če bi bili v resnici kristjani, ne bi nikoli odšli od nas. Zdaj pa je vsem jasno, da nikoli niso resnično bili od nas. 20Vam pa je Kristus dal svojega Svetega Duha in zato poznate resnico. ▼

21Ne pišem vam, ker menim, da bi šele morali spoznati resnico o Bogu, ampak vas želim posvariti, ker znate razlikovati med tem, kar je prav in kar je narobe. 22Kdo je največji lažnivec? Ali ni tisti, ki pravi, da Jezus ni Kristus. To je Antikrist, ki ne prizna niti Očeta, niti Sina. 23Kdor ne veruje v Jezusa Kristusa, Božjega Sina, tudi ne pozna Boga Očeta. Kdor pa prizna Kristusa, Božjega Sina, je spoznal tudi Boga Očeta. 24Še naprej verujte v vse to, kar ste se naučili od začetka. Če se boste tega trdno držali, boste vedno v tesni povezavi z Bogom, Očetom in z Jezusom Kristusom, njegovim Sinom. 25On pa nam je sam obljubil večno življenje. 26Na Antikrista vas želim opozoriti predvsem zaradi tistih, ki želijo zaslepiti vaše oči in vas zavesti s prave poti. 27Sveti Duh pa, ▼▼V izvirniku: maziljenje, ki ste ga prejeli od njega.
ki vam ga je dal Kristus, prebiva v vas. Zato ne potrebujete drugega učitelja, saj je Sveti Duh sam vaš učitelj. Kar vam on govori, je prav, on ne laže. Tega se trdno držite, kar vas uči Sveti Duh in ostanite pri Kristusu. 28Otroci moji, ne dovolite, da bi vas karkoli ločilo od Kristusa. Tedaj boste vedeli, ko on pride, da je z vami vse dobro in prav ter se ne boste sramovali srečati ga in lahko mu boste radostno pogledali v oči. 29Ker vemo, da je Bog dober in dela vedno samo to, kar je prav, lahko vemo, da so tisti, ki ravnajo tako kot on, njegovi otroci.

How do I do a word study?

It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
