Dobri pastir
1“Dobro si zapomnite, kar vam bom zdaj povedal,” je rekel Jezus svojim poslušalcem. “Kdor ne prihaja v hlev skozi vrata, ampak na skrivaj pleza čez zid, je gotovo tat. 2Pastir prihaja le skozi vrata k ovcam. 3Čuvaj mu odpira vrata in ovce ga spoznajo že po glasu. Pastir jih potem kliče po imenu ter jih vodi na pašo. 4Ko vse pripelje iz hleva, gre pred njimi in ovce gredo za njim, ker poznajo njegov glas. 5Nikoli ne bi šle za tujcem; nasprotno, zbežale bi od njega, ker ne poznajo njegovega glasu.” 6Poslušalci, katerim je Jezus pripovedoval to zgodbo, niso razumeli, kaj je s tem mislil.7Zato je Jezus znova dejal: “Verjemite mi, jaz sem vrata. 8Vsi, ki so se izdajali za pastirje pred menoj, so bili tatovi. Ovce jih niso poslušale. 9Jaz sam sem vrata. Kdor prihaja k čredi skozi mene, bo rešen. Skozi ta vrata lahko hodi noter in ven in našel bo sočno pašo. 10Tat pride, da bi kradel, ubijal in uničeval. Jaz pa prinašam vsem, ki so moji, življenje – in to v izobilju. 11Jaz sem dobri pastir. Dobri pastir daje svoje življenje za ovce. 12Drugače pa je s tistim, ki dela za plačo in ovce niso njegove. Brž ko pride volk, zbeži in pusti ovce same. Volk se zažene med ovce in čreda se razbeži. 13Takega človeka ovce sploh ne zanimajo. 14Jaz pa sem dobri pastir in poznam svoje ovce in one poznajo mene, 15prav tako kot jaz poznam Očeta in Oče pozna mene. Svoje življenje dajem za ovce. 16Tudi tiste ovce, ki so zdaj še v drugih hlevih, moram pripeljati k sebi, da bodo poslušale moj glas. Tedaj bo samo ena čreda in en pastir. 17Oče me ljubi, ker dajem svoje življenje, da bi ga znova vzel. 18Nihče mi ne more vzeti življenja; prostovoljno ga dajem. Imam moč in svobodo, da ga dam, pa tudi da ga ponovno vzamem. To je naloga, ki mi jo je dal moj Oče.”
19Potem so se Judje spet začeli prepirati o Jezusu. 20Največ jih je trdilo: “Obsedel ga je hudobni duh! Ni pri pameti! Kaj nam koristi, da ga poslušamo?” 21Drugi pa so menili: “Obseden človek ne bi govoril tako! Ali bi hudobni duh mogel ozdraviti slepega?”
Ali si Mesija?
22Bila je zima. V Jeruzalemu so praznovali praznik posvetitve templja. 23Jezus je bil prav tedaj tam, v Salomonovi hali, 24ko so ga obkrožili Judje in vprašali: “Koliko časa nas boš še pustil v negotovosti? Če si Kristus, nam odkrito povej!” 25“Že sem vam povedal, toda nočete mi verjeti,” je odgovoril Jezus. “Vse to, kar sem storil po nalogu svojega Očeta, naj bi zadostovalo kot dokaz. 26Vi pa mi ne verjamete, ker niste iz moje črede. 27Moje ovce poznajo moj glas, jaz jih poznam in za menoj hodijo. 28Dajem jim večno življenje in nikoli se ne pogubijo. Nihče jih ne more iztrgati iz moje roke. 29Moj Oče mi jih je dal in on je močnejši od vseh drugih. Zato jih tudi nihče ne more iztrgati iz moje roke: 30jaz in Oče sva namreč eno.”31Jezni so Judje spet zgrabili kamenje, da bi ga umorili. 32Jezus pa je dejal: “Po Božjem nalogu sem storil velike in čudovite stvari. Za katerega izmed teh čudežev me hočete umoriti?” 33“Ne zaradi dobrega dejanja, ampak zato, ker ne prenehaš preklinjati Boga, moraš umreti. Samo človek si, pa ne prenehaš trditi, da si Bog!” ▼

34Jezus je odvrnil: “Ali ne piše v vašem zakonu: ‘Rekel sem vam: bogovi ste’? ▼▼Psalm 82,6. Hebrejska beseda “elohim” ne pomeni samo “bogovi”, ampak tudi: vladarji, sodniki, božanska bitja, angeli, (edninski pomen), bog, boginja, tisti, ki je podoben bogu, Božja dela ali tisto, kar pripada Bogu, (pravi) Bog.
35Bog imenuje bogove tiste, h katerim je prišlo Božje sporočilo. Ali boste morda proglasili Sveto pismo kot neveljavno? 36Kako morete tega, ki ga je Bog sam izbral in poslal na svet, imenovati bogokletnika, samo zato ker pravi: ‘Božji Sin sem’? 37Če ne delam Božjih del, mi ni treba verjeti. 38Če pa jih delam, verjemite vsaj tem dejanjem, če že nočete verjeti meni, da bi končno spoznali in uvideli, da je Oče v meni in jaz v Očetu!” 39Zdaj so spet hoteli prijeti Jezusa, toda umaknil se jim je. 40Vrnil se je na drugo stran Jordana in ostal je tam, kjer je Janez prej krščeval. 41Mnogi ljudje so šli za njim. “Janez sicer ni storil nobenega čudeža,” so menili, “toda vse, kar je povedal o tem človeku, je resnica!” 42Tako so mnogi začeli verjeti, da je Jezus Mesija.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
