Spremenite način življenja – sicer vas čaka smrt
1V tem času so poročali Jezusu, da je Pilat pomoril nekatere Jude iz Galileje, medtem ko so žrtvovali v templju v Jeruzalemu. 2“Ali mislite,” je rekel Jezus, “da so bili ti Galilejci večji grešniki od ostalih ljudi, ker so jih tako zverinsko pomorili? 3Če se ne obrnete k Bogu in ne spremenite vašega hudobnega življenja, se bo z vami zgodilo prav tako. 4Spomnite se, kako je bilo ubitih osemnajst ljudi, ko se je pogreznil stolp v Siloi. Ali res mislite, da so bili to največji grešniki v Jeruzalemu? 5Tudi vam se bo zgodilo prav tako, če ne spremenite svojega življenja.”Zadnja priložnost
6Potem jim je Jezus povedal naslednjo zgodbo: “Neki človek je v svojem vinogradu zasadil smokvo. Leto za letom je hodil gledat, če ima kaj sadu. Toda zaman! 7Končno je rekel svojemu vrtnarju: ‘Že tri leta čakam, toda še nikoli ni bilo na smokvi niti enega sadeža. Posekaj jo. Samo prostor jemlje.’8‘Pusti jo še eno leto!’ ga je prosil vrtnar. ‘Dobro bom pognojil in skrbno negoval drevo še leto dni. 9Če pa tudi tedaj ne bo rodilo sadu, ga bom posekal.’ ”
Kaj več velja: človek ali predpis?
10V soboto je Jezus učil v neki sinagogi. 11Prisotna je bila tudi žena, ki je bila že osemnajst let močno sključena in se več ni mogla zravnati. 12Ko jo je Jezus videl, ji je zaklical: “Žena, rešena boš svojega trpljenja!” 13Položil je nanjo roke in jo blagoslovil. Vzravnala se je in iz vsega srca hvalila Boga. 14Predstojnik sinagoge pa se je jezil, ker je Jezus ozdravil ženo v soboto. “Teden ima šest delovnih dni. Tedaj bi lahko prišli, da bi bili ozdravljeni, a ne ravno v soboto!” se je razburjal. 15Jezus pa mu je odgovoril: “Hinavci! Vaše vole in osle odvezujete tudi v soboto, da bi jih napojili. 16Meni pa prepovedujete, da bi osvobodil to ženo sužnjevanja satanu! Osemnajst let je bila bolna. Ali ne pripada tudi ona izvoljenemu Božjemu ljudstvu?” ▼▼V izvirniku: … ki je hči Abrahamova.
17Na to mu njegovi sovražniki niso mogli odgovoriti. Vsi ostali pa so se veselili zaradi Jezusovih čudovitih dejanj. Bog vedno začenja z malim

18Jezus je vprašal svoje poslušalce: “Čemu naj primerjam Božje kraljestvo? 19Je kakor majhno seme gorčice, ki ga človek poseje na vrtu. Iz njega zraste visoko drevo, v katerem lahko gnezdijo ptice. 20– 21Je kakor testo, v katero zamešamo kvas, ki nevidno deluje, medtem ko testo vzhaja.”Zakaj ne pridejo vsi k Bogu?

22Jezus je potoval po deželi od mesta do mesta, od vasi do vasi in pridigal na poti proti Jeruzalemu. 23Neki mož ga je vprašal: “Gospod, ali drži, da bo le malo ljudi rešenih?” Jezus mu je odgovoril: 24“Vrata v nebo so tesna. Storite vse, da bi prišli skozi ta vrata. Mnogi namreč bodo poskušali, 25toda ko bo hišni gospodar zaklenil vrata, bo prepozno. Če boste še tako trkali in moledovali: ‘Gospod, odpri nam vrata!’ bo vse zastonj. ‘Kaj hočete od mene? Ne poznam vas!’ bo odgovoril. 26‘Saj smo skupaj jedli in pridigal si na naših ulicah!’ boste rekli. 27Gospod pa bo dejal: ‘Povedal sem vam že, da vas ne poznam! Takšnim, kot ste vi, ▼▼V izvirniku: vsi, ki delate krivico.

Pojdite odtod!’ 28Ko boste potem stali zunaj in boste videli, da so Izak, Jakob in vsi preroki v Božjem kraljestvu, boste obupano jokali in škrtali z zobmi. 29Z vseh koncev sveta bodo prišli ljudje na svečanost v Božje kraljestvo. 30Zapomnite si, da bodo mnoge, ki tu ne veljajo nič, tam spoštovali, tiste pa, ki so tu zelo slavni, tam nihče ne bo poznal.” Svarilo Jeruzalemu

31Kmalu potem je prišlo nekaj farizejev k Jezusu. “Če ti je življenje milo,” so ga svarili, “poskrbi, da kar najhitreje odideš od tod. Kralj Herod te namreč hoče ubiti!” 32Jezus je odgovoril: “Recite temu lisjaku: Danes in jutri izganjam zle duhove in ozdravljam ljudi. Tretji dan pa bom dospel na svoj cilj. 33Da, danes, jutri in pojutrišnjem! Saj se ne spodobi, da bi preroka umorili kje drugje kot v Jeruzalemu. 34Jeruzalem! O, Jeruzalem! Moriš preroke in ubijaš glasnike, ki ti jih Bog pošilja. Kolikokrat sem poskušal tvoje prebivalce zbrati okrog sebe, kot koklja zbira piščeta pod svoja krila! Toda niste hoteli. 35In zdaj? Zdaj ostaja vaša hiša opustošena. Mene pa boste spet videli šele takrat, ko boste vzkliknili: ‘Hvaljen bodi, ki prihajaš v imenu Gospodovem!’ ”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
