Ali je prepovedano pomagati?
1Neke sobote je bil Jezus v gosteh pri uglednem farizeju. Vsi prisotni so ga strogo opazovali. 2Potem je prišel neki človek, ki je imel vodo v telesu. Ali ga bo Jezus ozdravil v soboto? 3Jezus je vedel, kaj mislijo, zato je vprašal farizeje in verske učitelje: “Ali je po zakonu dovoljeno ozdraviti človeka v soboto ali ne?” 4Ko mu niso odgovorili, je prijel bolnika za roko, ga ozdravil in ga pustil, da je odšel. 5Potem je vprašal goste: “Kaj storite, če vam v soboto pade osel ali vol v vodnjak? Ali ju ne izvlečete tako hitro, kot je to le mogoče? Ali morda čakate, da bo minila sobota?” 6Na to mu niso mogli ničesar odgovoriti.Kdo dobi najboljše mesto?
7Ko je Jezus opazil, kako se gostje prerivajo, da bi dobili najboljša mesta, jim je povedal naslednji primer, da bi jih poučil: 8“Ko si povabljen na svatbeno svečanost, ne sedi v ospredje na najboljše mesto. Lahko se zgodi, da pride nekdo, ki je uglednejši kot ti. 9Gostitelj bo potem z njim prišel k tebi in ti dejal: ‘To mesto je rezervirano za tega moža!’ Tedaj boš moral oditi pred vsemi gosti na zadnje mesto. 10Ali ni mnogo bolje, da že v začetku sedeš tja? Ko te bo gostitelj prišel pozdravit, ti bo morda dejal: ‘Prijatelj, zate imam boljše mesto!’ Tako boš počaščen pred vsemi gosti. 11Kdor se dela pomembnega, bo doživel ponižanje, kdor pa se poniža, bo počaščen.”12Končno je Jezus rekel svojemu gostitelju: “Kadar vabiš k obedu, ne vabi prijateljev, bratov, sorodnikov in bogatih sosedov. Ti se bodo zahvalili in te povabili k sebi na obed ob neki drugi priložnosti in to bo vse. 13Raje povabi siromašne, pohabljene, hrome in slepe. 14Tako boš pomagal ljudem, ki ti tega ne morejo povrniti. Bog pa te bo za to ob dnevu vstajenja pobožnih nagradil.”
Bog poziva k obedu

15Ko je nekdo izmed gostov to slišal, je zaklical: “Kakšna prednost je priti v Božje kraljestvo!” 16Jezus je odgovoril z naslednjo zgodbo: “Neki človek je pripravil svečan obed in je povabil mnoge goste. 17Ko je bilo vse pripravljeno, je poslal k povabljencem svojega služabnika: ‘Vse je pripravljeno. Pridite!’ 18Vendar ni nihče prišel. Vsak se je na svoj način opravičil. ‘Pravkar sem kupil polje,’ je dejal nekdo izmed povabljencev, ‘zdaj si ga moram ogledati. Oprosti mi, ne morem priti!’ 19Drugi je dejal: ‘Žal ne morem priti. Pravkar sem kupil pet parov volov, pa jih moram preizkusiti.’ 20Tretji se je opravičil in dejal: ‘Pravkar sem se oženil. Gotovo razumeš, da ne morem priti.’ 21Služabnik se je vrnil in je o tem poročal svojemu gospodarju. Ta se je razjezil in dejal: ‘Pojdi na ulice in na mestne trge ter pripelji berače, pohabljene, hrome in slepe!’ 22Pa tudi tedaj je bilo še prostora. 23‘Pojdi na ceste in podeželje,’ je zapovedal gospodar, ‘in privedi kogarkoli najdeš. Vsi so povabljeni. Moja hiša mora biti polna! 24Tisti pa, ki sem jih najprej povabil, ne bodo dobili niti zalogaja.’ ”Jezus zahteva vse: Ali je to preveč?

25Tako kot mnogokrat je Jezusa tudi tokrat obkrožala velika množica. Ob tej priložnosti je svojim poslušalcem jasno povedal: 26Tistemu, ki hoče hoditi z menoj, moram pomeniti več kot vse drugo v njegovem življenju: več kot starši ▼▼V izvirniku: … pa ne sovraži svojega očeta in matere …
žena, otroci, bratje in sestre, da, več kot samo življenje. Samo tako je lahko moj učenec. 27Nihče ne more biti moj učenec, kdor ne nosi svojega križa in gre za menoj. 28“Toda nikar ne začenjajte, dokler niste preračunali, koliko vas bo to stalo. Kdor namreč želi graditi hišo, poprej dobro preračuna, če ima sredstva za gradnjo. 29Noben pameten gradbenik ne bo začel graditi tako nepremišljeno, da bo že potem, ko bo zgradil temelj, ostal brez denarja. Ljudje se mu bodo smejali, češ: 30‘Hotel je graditi hišo, toda sredstva so zadostovala samo za temelj!’ 31Ali – kateremu kralju bi prišlo na misel, da bi drugemu napovedal vojno, ne da bi se posvetoval s svojimi svetovalci, če more njegova vojska, ki šteje deset tisoč mož, premagati sovražnikovo vojsko, ki šteje dvajset tisoč mož? 32Če vidi, da bi s tem tvegal preveč, bo raje poslal posredovalca, ko je sovražna vojska še daleč, da bi se pogajal za mir. 33Tako ne more biti nihče moj učenec, kdor najprej ne sede in ne prešteje vseh svojih dobrin, potem pa se jih zaradi mene odreče. 34Kaj nam koristi sol, ki je izgubila slanost? 35Neuporabna je, ker je brez okusa. Ne moremo je uporabiti niti kot gnojilo. Moramo jo vreči proč. Dobro me poslušajte, da bi razumeli, kaj mislim s tem reči!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
