Zapravljivi oskrbnik
1Potem je Jezus povedal svojim učencem naslednjo zgodbo: “Neki bogataš je imel oskrbnika. Ko je opazil, da je nepremišljeno zapravljal njegovo imetje, 2ga je poklical k sebi in dejal: ‘Kaj slišim o tebi? Prinesi mi obračun, kajti odpuščen si iz službe!’ 3Oskrbnik je razmišljal: ‘Kaj naj zdaj storim? Izgubil sem službo. Jarkov ne morem kopati, prosjačiti pa se sramujem. 4Že vem, kaj bom storil! Našel bom prijatelje, ki mi bodo pomagali, potem ko bom brezposeln.’ 5Poklical je k sebi vse, ki so bili dolžni njegovemu gospodarju. Prvega je vprašal: ‘Koliko si dolžan mojemu gospodarju?’ 6‘Moral bi mu dati sto sodov olivnega olja,’ je odgovoril človek. ‘Tukaj imaš pogodbo, ki si jo podpisal. Vpiši vanjo petdeset!’ 7‘Koliko pa imaš ti dolga?’ je vprašal drugega. ‘Tvojemu gospodarju dolgujem sto vreč pšenice.’ ‘Vzemi svoje potrdilo in vpiši vanj osemdeset,’ mu je rekel oskrbnik. 8Bogataš je pohvalil premišljene načrte tega oskrbnika. Ljudje, ki pripadajo temu svetu, so sposobnejši za svoje trgovske posle kot tisti, ki pripadajo luči!”Kako najbolje naložimo svoj denar

9“Zato vam pravim: pridobite si prijatelje z bogastvom tega sveta, da bi vas tedaj, ko ga več ne bo, sprejeli z razširjenimi rokami v večno bivališče. ▼▼V izvirniku: Storite si prijatelje s krivičnim mamonom, da vas, kadar vam poide, sprejmejo v večno bivališče.
10Kdor je vreden zaupanja v malem, bo vreden tudi v velikem in kdor je nepošten v majhnih stvareh, bo nepošten tudi v velikih. 11Če ste nezanesljivi pri oskrbovanju zemeljskega bogastva, kdo vam bo zaupal pravo nebeško bogastvo? 12Če gospodarite zanikrno s tujim denarjem, zakaj naj bi vam zaupali tisto, kar je vaše? 13Nihče ne more istočasno služiti dvema gospodarjema. Ali boste sovražili enega in izkazovali privrženost drugemu – ali pa obratno in boste navdušeni nad enim, drugega pa boste prezirali. Nemogoče je sužnjevati denarju in služiti Bogu istočasno.” Nova merila

14Pohlepni farizeji so se posmehovali tem besedam. 15Zato jim je Jezus dejal: “Vi se vedno poskušate opravičevati pred ljudmi, toda Bog pozna vaša srca. To, kar ljudje visoko cenijo, se Bogu gnusi.” 16Dalje je Jezus dejal: “Do prihoda Janeza Krstnika so bili Mojzesov zakon in nauki prerokov merilo za vsa dejanja. Potem pa je prišel Janez Krstnik z veselim sporočilom, da bo kmalu nastopilo Božje kraljestvo, nad katerim nekateri uporabljajo silo. 17To pa ne pomeni, da je zakon izgubil svojo veljavo. Zapomnite si, da bosta prej izginila nebo in zemlja, kot bo izginila samo črka iz Božjega zakona. 18Kdor torej zapusti svojo ženo in se oženi z drugo, je kriv zakonolomstva; toda tudi tisti je kriv zakonolomstva, ki se poroči z ločeno ženo.”Bogati in ubogi: pravica vendar zmaga
19“Nekoč je živel bogat človek,” je pripovedoval Jezus. “Vedno je bil lepo oblečen in vsak dan si je lahko privoščil, kar si je poželel. 20Pred vhodom v njegovo hišo pa je ležal Lazar, zelo siromašen in poleg tega še težko bolan. Njegovo telo je bilo polno tvorov. 21Ko je tu prosjačil, da bi mu dali odpadke iz kuhinje, so prihajali psi in lizali njegove odprte rane. 22Lazar je umrl in angeli so ga odnesli na mesto, kjer je Abraham in vsi pravični, ki umrejo. ▼▼Dobesedno: … v Abrahamovo naročje.
Tudi bogataš je umrl in pokopali so ga. 23Njegova duša je odšla v pekel. Ko se je prebudil v kraljestvu mrtvih v bolečinah, je dvignil pogled in v daljavi je prepoznal Abrahama in Lazarja. 24‘Oče Abraham,’ je glasno zaklical bogataš, ‘usmili se me! Pošlji mi Lazarja, da bi pomočil prst v vodi in mi ohladil jezik. Strašno se mučim v teh plamenih!’ 25Abraham pa mu je odvrnil: ‘Spomni se! Ti si imel v življenju karkoli si poželel, Lazar pa ni imel ničesar. Zdaj je njemu dobro, ti pa moraš trpeti. 26Poleg tega je med nami in vami globok prepad. Nihče ne more priti z ene strani na drugo, tudi če bi hotel.’ 27‘Oče Abraham,’ je zdaj prosil bogataš, ‘potem pa ga vsaj pošlji 28k mojim peterim bratom. Posvari naj jih, da ne bi tudi oni po smrti prišli v ta kraj trpljenja.’ 29Abraham pa je odgovoril: ‘Tvoji bratje naj se držijo tega, kar učijo Mojzes in preroki. Tu so svarila za njih.’ 30Bogataš je ugovarjal: ‘Ne, oče Abraham, samo če bi prišel k njim kdo izmed mrtvih, bi spremenili svoja življenja.’ 31Abraham pa je ostal pri svojem: ‘Če ne poslušajo Mojzesa in prerokov, jih ne bo mogel prepričati niti tisti, ki bi vstal od mrtvih.’ ”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
