Jezus napoveduje uničenje templja
(Matej 24,1-2; Luka 21,5-6)
1Ko je Jezus zapustil tempelj, mu je eden izmed učencev poln občudovanja pokazal tempeljske zgradbe: “Učitelj, poglej to kamenje in te veličastne zgradbe!” 2Jezus je odgovoril: “Da, le dobro si oglejte! Vse to bo porušeno do temelja, ne bo ostal niti kamen na kamnu.”Prihodnost sveta

3– 4Ko je Jezus sedel na pobočju Oljske gore in gledal proti templju na drugi strani doline, so prišli Peter, Jakob, Janez in Andrej in ga vprašali: “Kdaj se bo vse to zgodilo? Po katerih dogodkih bomo prepoznali konec?” 5Jezus je odgovoril: “Naj vas nihče ne prevara ali zapelje! 6Mnogi bodo namreč trdili: ‘Jaz sem Kristus!’ Na žalost bodo mnoge zapeljali.7Slišali boste o vojnah in nemirih. Ne ustrašite se! To se mora zgoditi; to pa še ne pomeni, da je prišel konec. 8Ljudstva in zveze držav se bodo bojevale druga z drugo. V mnogih delih sveta bodo lakote in potresi. To pa je šele začetek konca, prav tako kot prvi popadki pri ženi, ki naj bi rodila.
9Bodite budni! Vlačili vas bodo pred sodnike in v sinagogah vas bodo bičali. Zagovarjati se boste morali pred tistimi, ki imajo oblast na tem svetu. To bo za vas priložnost, da jim oznanite radostno novico. 10Tako se mora zgoditi, kajti vsi narodi morajo slišati veselo novico, preden pride konec. 11Če vas bodo zapirali v ječe in postavili pred sodnike, bodite mirni. Ni vam treba skrbeti, kako se boste branili. Bog vam bo dal pravo besedo ob pravem času. Sveti Duh bo govoril skozi vas. 12Brat bo izročal brata v smrt. Očetje bodo izdajali svoje lastne otroke. Otroci se bodo upirali staršem in jih morili. 13Ves svet vas bo sovražil, ker ste moji otroci. Kdor pa bo izdržal do konca, bo rešen. 14Ko boste videli odvratnega malika, da stoji tam, kjer mu ni mesto, (kdor to bere, naj razume, na kaj se misli) ▼

tedaj naj tisti, ki so v Judeji, zbežijo v gore. 15Kdor bo pravkar na terasi svoje hiše, naj ne hodi najprej v hišo, da bi pripravil, kar mu je potrebno za beg. 16Kdor dela na polju, naj ne hiti domov, da bi vzel s seboj plašč. 17Težko pa bo za žene, ki pričakujejo otroka ter za matere z dojenčki. 18Zato molite, da ne bi morali bežati pozimi. 19Prišli bodo namreč dnevi grozot, kakršnih ni bilo odkar je bil svet ustvarjen in jih ne bo. 20Noben človek ne bi mogel izdržati tolikšnega trpljenja, če ne bi Bog že vnaprej skrajšal tega časa. Zavoljo svojih izvoljenih pa je Bog ta čas omejil. 21Če vam kdo reče: ‘Tukaj je Rešitelj!’ ali ‘Tam se je prikazal Kristus,’ ne verjemite! 22Mnogi se bodo izdajali za rešitelje sveta in nastopili bodo lažni preroki. Delali bodo presenetljive čudeže in če bi bilo mogoče, bi zapeljali celo Božje izvoljence. 23Zato bodite budni! Posvaril sem vas!” Rešitelj in sodnik

24“Po tem času strahot bo potemnelo sonce in mesec ne bo več svetil. 25Zvezde bodo zapustile svoje poti, po katerih krožijo in kozmične sile se bodo pokrenile. 26Tedaj bodo vsi videli Sina človekovega, ki bo prišel z božansko močjo in slavo na nebeških oblakih. 27Poslal bo svoje angele, ki bodo privedli k njemu njegove izvoljence z vseh delov sveta.28Tudi smokvino drevo naj posluži kot slika: ko pride sok v veje in le – te poženejo liste, takrat veste, da je poletje blizu. 29Prav tako boste vedeli, da je moj prihod blizu, ko se vse to zgodi. 30Povem vam: to ljudstvo ▼

ne bo izginilo, dokler se vse to ne zgodi. 31Nebo in zemlja bosta izginila; moje besede pa veljajo za vse čase in nikoli ne izginejo.” Vedno bodite pripravljeni!

32“Nihče ne ve, kdaj pride konec. Nihče ne ve dneva, niti ure, celo angeli v nebesih ne, niti Sin človekov. Samo Oče ve, kdaj bo to. 33Zato ne bodite brezskrbni, ampak bedite! Ne veste namreč, kdaj pride ta čas. 34To je tako, kot če se človek poda na pot. Preden zapusti hišo, naloži vsakemu zaposlenemu določeno delo, vratarju pa naroči, naj straži. 35Prav tako morate tudi vi stražiti. Saj ne veste, kdaj pride gospodar, zvečer, opolnoči, ob jutranjem svitu, ali ko vzide sonce. 36Zato bodite pripravljeni na njegov prihod ob vsaki uri dneva in ne spite. 37Kar pravim vam, velja tudi za vse druge ljudi: Vedno bodite budni in pripravljeni!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
