Matthew 16
“Pokaži, da prihajaš od Boga!”
(Matej 12,38-39; Marko 8,11-13; Luka 12,54-56)
1Nekega dne so prišli farizeji in saduceji, da bi Jezusu nastavili past. Zahtevali so jasen znak, kot dokaz, da ga je Bog poslal. 2– 3Jezus jim je dejal: “Iz znakov na nebu znate napovedati vreme: rdeče nebo zvečer pomeni, da bo naslednji dan lepo vreme. Rdeče nebo zjutraj pomeni slabo vreme. Kar pa se danes dogaja pred vašimi očmi, tega pa ne znate prav razsoditi! 4To hudobno, brezbožno ljudstvo zahteva vedno nove dokaze. Ne boste videli nobenega drugega znamenja razen tega, kar se je zgodilo s prerokom Jonom.” S temi besedami jih je Jezus zapustil.Hujše kot lakota

5Ko so prišli na drugo obalo jezera, so njegovi učenci ugotovili, da nimajo s seboj kruha. 6Tedaj jih je Jezus posvaril: “Varujte se kvašenega testa farizejev in saducejev!” 7Učenci so menili: “To nam pravi zato, ker smo pozabili vzeti s seboj kruh.” 8Vsekakor je Jezus vedel, kaj razmišljajo in je dejal: “Zakaj ste zaskrbljeni, brž ko nimate kaj jesti? Ali mi res tako malo zaupate? 9Ali nikoli ne boste doumeli? Ali ste pozabili pettisočglavo množico, ki sem jo nahranil s petimi hlebi? Ostalo pa je še nekaj polnih košar ostankov. 10Ali se spomnite štirih tisočev ljudi in koliko je ostalo tistikrat! 11Kako vam le pride na misel, da bi mogel govoriti o hrani? Ponovno vam pravim: ‘Varujte se kvašenega testa farizejev in saducejev!’ ” 12Šele zdaj so doumeli, da je Jezus mislil na krivi nauk farizejev in saducejev, ko je govoril o kvašenem testu.Človeški razum ne zadostuje

13Ko je Jezus prišel v okolico Cezareje Filipove, je vprašal svoje učence: “Za koga me pravzaprav imajo ljudje?” 14Odgovorili so: “Mnogi mislijo, da si Janez Krstnik, drugi menijo, da si Elija, ali Jeremija, ali nekdo izmed prerokov.” 15“Za koga pa me imate vi?” jih je vprašal. 16Nato je odgovoril Peter: “Ti si Kristus, Sin živega Boga.” 17“Resnično si lahko srečen, Simon, Jonov sin!” je odgovoril Jezus. “To spoznanje ti je dal moj Oče v nebesih; sam ne pride nihče do tega spoznanja. 18Pravim ti: Ti si Peter (kar pomeni, če prevedemo iz grškega jezika: Skala). Tako kot človek izbere skalo za temelj, na katerem gradi zgradbo, bom storil, da bodo mnogi verovali vame, kot veruješ ti. Ostali bodo čvrsti v tej veri celo, ko jim bo zaradi nje pretila smrt. Na tej skali bom gradil svojo cerkev in vrata Hadesa (podzemlja) je ne bodo nadvladala. ▼▼Op. prev. Vrata Hadesa simbolizirajo moč podzemlja, da drži ujetnike.
19Dal ti bom ključe Božjega kraljestva. Česar ne boš dopustil na zemlji, ne bo dopuščeno v nebesih, kar pa boš dovolil na zemlji, bo dovoljeno tudi v nebesih.” ▼▼V izvirniku: Karkoli zvežeš na zemlji, bo zvezano v nebesih, in karkoli razvežeš na zemlji, bo razvezano v nebesih.
20Nato je strogo zapovedal svojim učencem, naj ne pripovedujejo ljudem, da je on Kristus. Jezus govori o svoji smrti

21V tem času je začel Jezus govoriti svojim učencem o poti, po kateri bo moral iti: “V Jeruzalemu me bodo voditelji ljudstva, veliki duhovniki in verski učitelji mučili in ubili. Tri dni pozneje pa bom vstal od mrtvih in živel bom.” 22Prestrašen ga je Peter potegnil vstran in ga odvračal: “Za Božjo voljo! Kaj takega se ti ne sme zgoditi!” 23Jezus pa se je obrnil in rekel Petru: “Pojdi od mene, satan! Nastavljaš mi past! Misliš, kakor mislijo ljudje in ne razumeš Božjih misli.”Jezus poziva ljudi, naj gredo za njim

24Nato je Jezus dejal svojim učencem: “Kdor hoče iti za menoj, ne sme več misliti nase, temveč mora biti pripravljen vzeti nase križ in iti za menoj. 25Kdor za vsako ceno hoče ohraniti svoje življenje, ga bo izgubil, kdor pa zastavi svoje življenje zame, ga bo ohranil za vedno. 26Kaj namreč pridobi človek, celo če dobi ves svet, pri tem pa izgubi večno življenje? Ničesar ni na tem svetu, s čemer bi ga mogel povrniti. ▼▼V izvirniku: Ali kaj bo dal človek v zameno za svojo dušo?
27Sin človekov bo s svojimi angeli ponovno prišel v slavi svojega Očeta ter bo sodil vsakega po njegovih dejanjih. 28Povem vam, da bodo nekateri med vami, ki stojite tukaj, živeli in bodo videli Sina človekovega v njegovem kraljestvu.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
