1Takrat so učenci vprašali Jezusa: “Kdo je največji v Božjem kraljestvu?” 2Jezus je poklical majhnega otroka, ga postavil v sredo 3in dejal: “Če se ne spremenite in ne postanete kakor otroci, ne pridete nikoli v nebeško kraljestvo. 4Kdor pa se lahko poniža kakor ta otrok, je največji v Božjem kraljestvu. 5Kdor sprejme takega otroka meni na voljo, sprejme mene.”Zapeljani, da ne bi verovali

6“Če nekdo zapelje ljudi, ki mi verujejo kakor otroci, bi bilo bolje zanj, da ga vržejo v morje z mlinskim kamnom privezanim okrog vratu. 7Gorje svetu, ki jih zapeljuje, da ne bi verovali. Ničesar ne moremo storiti, da ne bi bilo skušnjav, ki nas vodijo v greh, toda gorje tistemu, ki povzroči skušnjavo.8Če te torej roka ali noga zavaja v greh, jo odseci in vrzi proč. Bolje je, da prideš pohabljen v nebeško kraljestvo, kot da te vržejo z zdravimi rokami in nogami v večni ogenj. 9Če te oko zavaja v greh, ga izkoplji in vrzi proč. Bolje je, da z enim očesom dosežeš večno življenje, kot da te z obema očesoma vržejo v peklenski ogenj. 10Varujte se, da ne bi zviška gledali na tiste, ki se vam zdijo majhni in nepomembni. Povem vam, da imajo njihovi angeli vedno pristop k mojemu Očetu v nebesih.”
Jezus išče izgubljene

11“Sin človekov je prišel, da bi rešil izgubljene. 12Kaj menite: Če ima nekdo sto ovac ter ena zaide, kaj bo storil? Ali ne bo pustil devetindevetdesetih, da bi poiskal izgubljeno ovco? 13Ko pa jo končno najde, se veseli zaradi te, ki jo je našel, mnogo bolj kot zaradi devetindevetdesetih, ki niso zašle. 14Prav tako vaš Oče ne želi, da bi se tudi le eden izmed vas, če je še tako majhen in nepomemben, izgubil.”Opominjajte drug drugega

15“Če ti je tvoj brat storil krivico, pojdi k njemu in mu reci, kakšno napako je naredil. Če te posluša, si pridobil svojega brata. 16V kolikor pa noče nič slišati o tem, vzemi s seboj še eno ali dve osebi ter mu skupaj poskušajte dopovedati. 17Če pa tudi potem noče nič slišati o tem, prinesite stvar pred cerkev. V kolikor cerkev razsodi, da imaš prav, on pa tega ne prizna, ravnajte z njim kot z brezbožnikom in nevernikom. 18Tako vam povem: Česar ne boš dopustil na zemlji, ne bo dopuščeno v nebesih, kar pa boš dovolil na zemlji, bo dovoljeno tudi v nebesih. ▼▼V izvirniku: Karkoli zvežete na zemlji, bo zvezano v nebesih in karkoli razvežete na zemlji, bo razvezano v nebesih.
19Tudi to vam pravim: Če dva izmed vas tukaj na zemlji prosita nečesa mojega Očeta in se v tem zedinita, jima bo dal. 20Kajti kjer dva ali trije pridejo skupaj v mojem imenu, sem jaz v njihovi sredini.” O neusmiljenem dolžniku: Odpuščanje nima meja

21Potem je Peter vprašal: “Gospod, kolikokrat moram odpustiti svojemu bratu, če mi stori krivico? Ali ne zadostuje sedemkrat?”22“Ne,” je odgovoril Jezus. “Ne samo sedemkrat. Za to ni nobene meje. Pripravljen moraš biti odpuščati znova in znova.” ▼

23“Božje kraljestvo lahko primerjamo kralju, ki je hotel napraviti obračun s svojimi najemniki. 24Med njimi je bil tudi mož, ki mu je bil dolžan milijonski znesek. 25Tega dolga ni mogel vrniti. Zato je kralj hotel prodati njega, njegovo ženo in otroke ter vse, kar je posedoval, da bi dobil vsaj del svojega denarja. 26Mož pa je padel pred kraljem na kolena in moledoval: ‘Gospod, potrpi še malo. Vse bom poplačal.’ 27Kralju se je mož smilil. Osvobodil ga je in mu odpustil dolg. 28Komaj pa se je to zgodilo, že je šel k svojemu sodelavcu, ki mu je bil dolžan majhen znesek, zgrabil ga je in kričal: ‘Plačaj že enkrat svoj dolg!’ 29Tedaj je ta človek padel predenj in ga prosil: ‘Potrpi še malo! Vse ti bom vrnil.’ 30Toda najemnik ni hotel čakati in je zapovedal, naj ga zaprejo v ječo, dokler ne vrne vsega dolga. 31Ko so drugi videli, kaj se je zgodilo, so se razjezili in so to povedali kralju. 32Kralj je poklical moža, kateremu je odpustil dolg, k sebi in mu dejal: ‘Kako trdosrčen človek si! Ves dolg sem ti odpustil, ker si me prosil. 33Ali ne bi ti prav tako moral imeti potrpljenja s svojim sodelavcem, kot sem ga imel jaz s tabo?’ 34Jezen ga je izročil mučiteljem, da bi ga vrgli v ječo. Šele tedaj naj bi ga izpustili, ko bi povrnil vse svoje dolgove. 35Prav tako se bo zgodilo z vami, če ne boste resnično odpustili svojemu bratu.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
